The Tamriel Terror has been meaning to tell you this tgl1992. This one doesn't know how to say it to your argonian face, but will try. You look like a rooster.

Well that's a good point and a good question. One I could not possibly hope to answer... because why would they? I wouldn't!

Someone ask Pete Hines. Only thing I can think of is to prevent the onslaught of consumers saying "yeah but will it look this good on XBOX or PS3".

I would think you are right. They say that most of their audience is on consoles so it makes sense to give them "their" screenshots first. I mean people are saying Battlefireld 3 on consoles looks rubbish compared to PC. I suppose this would put off a lot of people who use consoles because they would feel they are getting an inferior product. Bethesda seem to have a good marketing department to me. Slow trickle of info and now BAM! If they showed this stuff at the start people would lose interest as there would be nothing new to learn.

people these days.....such low standards. Feel bad for the dark elf women now though, lore makes them out to be so promiscuous...think most men would run away from most of the skyrim "cursed ones"

All of the female face models definitely have some major similarities, but there's enough tweekage done to be able to identify them just fine. I don't mind of course, they're all smokin' hot :foodndrink: :hubbahubba:

Is there something wrong with having low standards for physical attractiveness? Ugly people need lovin' too, sometimes it just takes a little looking to see the beauty that's less apparent ;)

Even the Orcs?

Well, if you can get past the tusks, turn off the light, maybe squint your eyes a bit...

Ughh. To me the women look like a step backwards from Oblivion, in terms of looks. Especially the female elf races -- hideous. Emaciated, skeletal faces.

Yes, but it makes "perfect sense" when one factors in the following:

  • Death of the Septim empire.
  • End of the Renaissance-like period of TES4:Oblivion as a result of the first.
  • Civil war in Skyrim.
  • Etc.

They're also on what is today being called "The Paleo Diet", but unlike today, they can't just go to an organic supermarket and buy it, they have to literally do the hunting-and-gathering in the midst of ongoing hazardous conditions.
If I stop keeping these in mind, then their "emaciated, skeletal faces" stop making sense.

Have you looked at the comparisons?? Anything is better than those potato faces... And maybe it's just because I have an emaciated, skeletal face, but I think they're gorgeous.

And I think you're focused on a couple of them in particular, well over half of them aren't anywhere near skeletal, go look at the Nord women again.

I don't think the elf races should be sixually attracted to us. All of us on this board are human...obviously the human races will look the most attractive to us. Elves are a different race entirely (and in TES the word "race" is much different from the actually definition or "race"...which is to say, there isn't one) -so more like a species.

Despite the fact that there is interbreeding, it is rare...probably because elves look kinda scary to people, and vice versa.
I'm quite happy that they don't look very attractive, seems more realistic to the lore. Also pleased that the females look realistically pretty, none of them have "perfect" smooth photoshopped faces and giant DOA boobs. Thumbs up for that

You know that they posted some really amazing pics, then half of the forum used them to make they're avatars!
