(character mapping?) issue with NPCS and myself

Hello friends,

today I tried to reinstall oblivion, and when I open ed the game, I found there was some sort of technical problem with myself, and the NPCS in the game.

The problem looks like the images below

Also, for some reason, the console wont open -- I have BAllowConsole turned on in the ini file, and I've been using the Ring of Console mod for now. Is there any specific way to assign a hotkey to the console? Would be easier to use ~ to open and close.

for some reason when I toggle light brite in the console, (the mapping problem?) is fixed. but the game looks very ugly

My specs are that I am running Oblivion on my Mac now since my PC is broken -- I have it running on Parallels, and I have

Lion OSX 10.8.4, with a 2.4GHz Intel Core i5,

with 4GB 1333 MHz DDR3 Memory

Is anyone else ever had this problem? Can anyone help me, or does anyone need additional information? Please help, thanks

Some kind of graphics artifact. I'm surprised you can get it to run at all on Parallels, and I'd be willing to bet that the problem lies with Parallels. It's trying to share your graphics card between two operating systems simultaneously.

I know the game will work on a dual-boot Mac. Have you tried running it in straight Bootcamp Windows?

I think Parallels is missing some of the drivers for full direct x since direct x is designed for windows only. Also you are wasting some of your resources on running the game when using two operating systems at the same time.

It is best to use boot camp on Mac when playing windows games.
