My character sees something I don't.

My current play-through has developed an issue that is both trivial and at the same time utterly unnerving.

My character keeps staring off, no matter where, no matter who or what is in the current cell my head keeps looking off into the distance at some certain spot. It seems pretty random, or at least I can't discern a pattern. Sometimes it's angled down, sometimes it's up, but it's always off in the distance. Interior, exterior, modded location, un-modded location. Even if I'm up next to a creature or NPC my head doesn't snap toward them like it should. It's almost like there's some invisible.. something hanging around me but I can't even begin to detect it.

I'm approaching 40 hours of gameplay, not sure if that has anything to do with it. I'm relatively certain it's not a mod issue because otherwise my game is perfectly stable but I'll be damned if I know what it could be.

This isn't game-breaking, I can still play fine and all that but it is really annoying and unnerving and if anyone has any ideas at all that could help I would be much appreciative.

Can't say I've ever heard of it

Do you remember any specific instances to when it happened, things like which cells you remember it happening in?

It's continuous, happens everywhere. I don't have a clue when or where it first started honestly, just hit third person and realized something was wrong a few saves ago.

Try making a new game and check if the problem continues, make sure to visit one of these places which this has happened to you.

PS

From personal experience, you should always keep a sharp eye on any unusual behavior your character or game are doing. I once made this amazing character, then suddenly i realized that I had lost the numbers menu (the one where you select how many items to take out of something, how many to buy, how many to sell, etc.) it wasn't game breaking, but it sure as hell was annoying. Also if you don't already use it, I would recommend you use streamsave, it helps in these instances.

Tried my other character saves, they did fine. On a whim I checked something with collision off and as far as I can tell my gaze is locked onto the exact center of the current cell, regardless of playable area. Tried a console command I found, show head tracking target, that showed nothing.

Now that I think more on it I guess it could be or rather, probably is a mod issue. Somewhere, somehow, a script must have went horribly wrong. Anyway thanks for the advice. I need to start backing up my saves.. and actually paying attention to stuff.
