Character Set-Up similar to Fallout?

With the old style attribution system gone, will we be creating characters in a similar way to how we did in fallout? In game tests and questions?

What ya think?

Its gonna be like the beginning of oblivion, where you don't pick anything, you just start playing, picking up equipment and using whatever you chose

But then instead of them asking you what you are, they never call it anything, you just keep doing whatever you want

In Skyrim, the only thing you get to pick or customize is the race of your character and what he/she looks like.

No, you create your character by doing what your character would do.

Want to play a good swordsman? Get the sword and use that and you'll get better at it.

We are still not sure how this is going to work. All of the demos were scripted 30 min after the tutorial. I can imagine that you will pick a specialization and get a 5 point bonus in the Thief/Mage/Warrior skills  . I'm hoping to pick a perk during character creation.

If my intuition is right, getting to the first level will be very easy - it has been in the previous games.

No, your specialization won't be part of initial character creation. You can choose certain "star signs" though; they are stones that give you permanent bonuses, until you pick another. We know there is a Mage, Warrior and Thief stone, enhancing the rate in which the corresponding skills level up.
