Okay, I'm putting this here because I believe this problem has something to do with my mods (although I could definitely be wrong), since I was playing without mods before and the skin tone of this same character preset looked fine. So I noticed that the skin tone of the character preset that I was editing looked darker than I'd wanted and seemed to be a bit of an off-grey color. I tried to change it via the skin tone editor through 'showracemenu' but when I try to change it, the skin tone just gets worse and more grey. I've also tried changing the preset to something else entirely, but the skin tone still looks kind of funky.
