There's also http://tes.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=3974 which doesn't go as far in rebuilding Bruma's mages guild, but does put out a lot of other "permanent" flames.

I believe I have used that Bruma Mages Guild Rebuilded before. It wasn't bad but suffers from the fact that English wasn't the creator's first language. The main reason I liked it is a shrine dedicated to those that died in the attack.

Personally as others have said you can't go wrong with any of Arthmoor's stuff. Always quality and keeps it close to the lore.

I'm sort of holding off on completing the Bruma quest - both because I don't want to see all of Eleanor's friends there killed, and because I don't want her to gain too much power. She's already Madgod and the Champion of Cyrodiil; she at least needs to let some time pass before she climbs the Mage's Guild ladder to Master Wizard and Arch-Mage.

After a sudden flash of light and blacking out, Baa awoke with a voice spinning in her head telling her to go to Bruma immediately to check on the Mages Guild Hall there. She rounded up Mooch and they headed to Bruma in the middle of the night. When they arrived, they cautiously entered the door. It was dark, but there were no flames. Something had changed. As their eyes adjusted to the darkness, it became evident that all the broken furniture was gone and the place had been cleaned up. http://i1250.photobucket.com/albums/hh539/tmodel/Baa2012-04-23-01.jpg and inspected the place, top to bottom, and found the entire place cleaned up. The Arch-Mage was pleased.

Not wanting to waste any more time, she fast traveled to the Arcane U. to find Raminus Polus to see what he knew of these events. Even in the middle of the night he was awaiting her arrival in front of the Arch-Mage tower. When Baa questioned him, he was kind of vague, but offered to buy some furniture and hire some new mages to bring the place back to life. Baa instructed him to proceed, but to watch his budget. No need in wasting the Guild’s gold on an Arch-Mages fancy. Polus told Baa to check back later to see how thing were progressing.

Baa has about worn out the fast travel button going back and forth, but so far it’s still dark in the Guild Hall. Polus councils her to have a little patience.

Thanks to all who helped Baa on this project. She used Bruma Guild Reconstructed by Arthmoor. Had to install obse too, but it all went very smoothly.

Good to know Baa's going to have a Bruma Guild Hall again! :)

Eleanor and Fergus departed Chorrol and began to head to Bravil. On the way, they found an Ayleid Ruin - Wendir - which they decided to plunder, as Eleanor had spent much of her gold. They found a statue, one of the ones Umbacano collects and will pay for, but when they emerged from the ruin night had set in. They pitched their tent, treated themselves to some Tamika Vintage, and slept soundly. Alas, next morning the rain had set in, and the two decided to cancel their trip to Bravil. Instead they returned to the Imperial City to sell the statue and their loot, create some new spells, and investigate rumours of Shady Sam finding residence in the abandoned manor in the Elven Gardens district. They've just found a key to that manor ...

(The manor mentioned is a part of a mod, which adds a player home to the IC. Shady Sam lives in a small shack on the property :D)

Darilia Sarrus feels so sad and guilty, and needs to talk about it. Which is why I'm in this thread, and on this last page, I see Bruma mentioned a lot.

Darilia already felt bad playing that prank on Jeanne Frasoric. Jeanne didn't deserve the hard time that her silly guild boys were giving her. Darilia participated in a stupid prank, and she was still so nice to her, if it were for Darilia, she'd rather secretly place some good mage skill books in Jeanne's desk instead of stealing one. Jeanne wrote a letter of recommendation for Darilia, and asked that Darilia doesn't forget her too, as Darilia climbs the guild ranks. Darilia did forget her. She was so busy being all so important, she never stopped by at Bruma hall to bring the hottest gossips from Imperial City. Until it was too late.

Darilia hurried back to Arcane University, stormed into Arch-Mage's bedchamber in the middle of night not minding the 'do not disturb' sign (red door icon) to break the horrible news, only to hear in great disappointment that 'Coulncil would need a WEEK to digest the news'. Sad and broken, Darilia decided to take a break from this world and to walk Oblivion planes for a while, and to unleash her anger on Daedra.

Also, now she keeps a single black soul gem in her pocket. For a special someone.

Spiro got out of the sewers fine, headed up into the imperial city, sold off all the useless junk he'd picked up and headed off to Chorrol.
While he was there, he joined the Fighter's Guild, picked himself up a new sword (a Fine Steel Longsword), dropped off the Amulet of Kings to Jauffre and is now on his way to Anvil to start work for the Guild.

I agree.

I don't remember what either of my mages did during that quest, how they handled it. Igodah probably relished the sudden role of thief, The Grey Wizard probably got annoyed.

Sad story. I used my powers of future vision to warn Rayn what might happen ahead of time should she get too ambitious in the mage's guild. She's happy where she is, meaning her friends get to keep their positions too.

Skarsgard has made it to Cheydinhal! He couldn't quite decide http://i1122.photobucket.com/albums/l528/Lady-Mara-2/Skarsgards%20Quest/Cheydinhal-1.jpg He chose Newlands Lodge, on the left, since the door faced towards him, and he was glad he did. The place was packed! He had a nice chat with a http://i1122.photobucket.com/albums/l528/Lady-Mara-2/Skarsgards%20Quest/NewlandsLodge2-1.jpg but she told him in no uncertain terms that she preferred dogs to people. Instead of persuing her he went into the next room and, after a sizeable quantity of mead, received a kiss on each cheek from http://i1122.photobucket.com/albums/l528/Lady-Mara-2/Skarsgards%20Quest/NewlandsLodge4-1.jpg

Feeling rather giddy, he left to http://i1122.photobucket.com/albums/l528/Lady-Mara-2/Skarsgards%20Quest/CheydinhalFightersGuild-1.jpg at the Cheydinhal Fighter's Guild. Keld wasn't impressed though, throwing a jug and plate across the room when Skarsgard got a bit too friendly! It's safe to say Keld is definitely a heterosixual nord.

By the Nine, I love Skarsgard.

Today, Baa was very impatient with the slow progress Raminus Polus at the Arcane U. was making on the Bruma Guild Reconstructed project, so she camped at the Arch Mage’s tower for a while and encouraged him to get on with it. After leaving to do a dungeon or two, she returned and Polus informed her that the Guild Hall was now fitted out with all new furniture and that he was recruiting new mages to staff the hall. Baa thanked him, and at the same time told him to ask for help in the future if he needed it, and not drag out the recruitment process like he did the furniture procurement. With that Baa left for Bruma with Mooch in tow.

The Guild Hall looked nice, even though it was a bit deficient in light in a few places. The furniture looked good and everything was similar to the original. The dining arrangement seemed different to her, but if it is, it looks very good anyway. It’s been a long time since Baa’s seen the place when it wasn’t a burning wreck. Baa approved of Polus’ work and at review time she may look favorably on him - that is, if he doesn’t mess up the hiring of new mages. Mooch liked the place, too. The pre-destroyed Guild Hall was before her time, so the only thing she knew was the burning pile of rubble. After their tour they stopped at the front desk for a http://i1250.photobucket.com/albums/hh539/tmodel/Baa2012-04-2415-01-00-85.jpg.

The Bruma guild hall looks great! :) Is Baa the Arch-Mage, or is Traven still around?
Also, nice new icon, Renee! A Skyrim shot?

Eleanor and Fergus left their new Imperial City home, having met the staff and stored a few things. Eleanor likes the grounds, but the house feels too big and empty for her tastes. Not cozy like her Chorrol home, and not full of life like her New Sheoth palace.
They decided to head to an Ayleid ruin that Umbacano had mentioned, to look for another statue. There was one, just as Umbacano had expected, and they returned to the Capital to claim their reward.

I won't spoil the questline, as I know not everyone here has done it. Let's just say that it's quite a unique little questline, and Eleanor has now finished it and is a wealthy woman because of it! They now plan to finally head to Bravil and then Leyawiin, two cities which they often forget even exist.

Baa has been Arch Mage for at least three years, but she ain’t much of a mage. She uses alchemy to make poisons for her arrows, detect life 180 on her prison irons, and a heal spell occasionally, plus enchanted jewelry and bows, but that’s about it. She plays around with a fire ball sometimes when she gets bored. Like I said, she’s not much of a mage. She's an archer, number one.

Yes, Baa is getting excited about having the Guild Hall back. She makes a lot of poisons and any additional source of ingredients is welcome. Plus, to get to interact with the new mages will be a big bonus.

You must have lost a nut and fallen to pieces to come up with that new avatar. Looks good for now, but Baa’s still thinking about it.

Bernadette was just on her way back from clearing the first level of sundercliff watch to unload her hoard when she decided to rest her eyes for an hour. However she began to have strange visions...visions of a man sleeping soundly and a figure leaning over him. When the figure rises, blood is dripping down her chin. Suddenly the face leers and she realises the figure is her and she awakes feeling different, strangely powered and hungry for blood.

Little did she know she forgot to drink a potion of cure disease and she is now a vampire. She had temptations, but she wasn't sure if she wanted to be one... but now she has no choice.

(Came ahead of schedule, I completely forgot to drink a potion after clearing a cave of vampires and screwed up my role play. Bernadette was meant to be much more powerful.)

Sorry about your Vampire problem, but there is a quest to rid yourself of it if you are too late to go to a chapel and pray.

Oh, and you Englanders sure spell things funny: realises.

My problem was I did plan for her to become a vampire, but not this soon so curing it took some thinking. I made two saves so I can go back and play as a vampire if I want to. I have the vile lair plug-in so I was able to cure it at the pillar without doing the lengthy quest.

Silvonwe continued her mission to secure aid for Bruma. In our most recent session, she traveled from near Rockmilk Cave to Bravil, clearing the road as she went. In the process, she closed two Gates, killing numerous daedra. She also destroyed five bandits, two will-o-wisps, a Billy, and a Troll. She encountered (but didn't fight) three spriggans, a brown bear, and two boars (she wears an enchantment that makes forest creatures non-aggressive.)

She's noticing that Mehrunes Dagon is populating his Deadlands with more powerful adversaries than before. Previously she was encountering more Spider Daedra and Clannfears, but now there are Storm Atronachs and Daedroths everywhere, and the Dremoras she faces are more cunning and better equipped, too.

She came within a hair's-breadth of death today. She had entered one of the gates, forgetting that she was still wearing her water-walking shoes rather than her Fire-Shield shoes, and accidentally triggered a pop-up "mine." In one shot it took her health down to almost nothing. She must be more careful. Dead is dead, after all.

After receiving a letter from Savlian Matius in Kvatch, Eleanor and Fergus rode to the city and met with him. The city's reconstruction is coming along nicely - the Great Chapel is as good as new, and most of the buildings are finished, although not furnished and decorated inside. There's even a Mage's Guild hall, although there is nothing inside except for some crates and two mages overseeing it's construction.

Anywho, back to Savlian. He wanted Eleanor to track down the only heir to Kvatch, and Eleanor (with Fergus at her side, of course) did. He was, however, being held captive by assassins, who proved a challenge in numbers and wore very valuable armor. After a long struggle to convince him to go to Kvatch, he began to make his way there. Eleanor and Fergus had completed their task - well, until their next note from Savlian, that is.

They then headed to Bruma, where Eleanor has decided to purchase a home. During the events of the Oblivion Crisis - which saw Eleanor fight back many a Daedra, stop a siege engine from flattening Bruma and spend many an hour in the nearby Cloud Ruler Temple - she became close to Cyrodiil's northernmost city. She even befriended the Countess and dined with her! And while there'll always be a bedroll for her in Cloud Ruler, and a bed in the Mage's Guild Hall, nothing is quite the same as spending a night at home. Next stop: Novaroma. She needs to furnish the house ...

Breaking News!

The Countess of New Kvatch has gone missing! For over two months now citizens of New Kvatch have been wondering the whereabouts of their beloved Countess. Last seen in Bruma at the peace accords in perfect health makes the disappearance all the more disturbing. Rumors range everything from Colovian warlords assassinating her during a power struggle, The King of Worms eliminating her during his sacking of the Mages Guild, to the more bizarre; the newly formed Vigilants of Stendarr killing her in one of their many vampire hunts.

When trying to reach her longtime companion and love it was learned that she had returned to her homeland of Solstheim on a family visit only raising more questions. Why leave at this time? Does she know the whereabouts of our Dear Countess? Does she even know what happened?

We will ever know what happened?

Edit: The board really boogered the formatting on that.
Sorry for the ****-poor writing skills.

Good to see you’ve decided to invest in the Bruma property. I have a maid and a stay-at-home companion who live there. Oh, and you may want to get a fire for your fireplace on Nexus - ‘Bruma House Fireplace’.
