Characters dissapear after transition

Okay, here's the situation. I was doing the vivec informants quest, and was going after the argonian agent. I entered the tavern along with julan the companion, decided to go out for a second... and then I realized julan was nowhere to be seen. I went back into the tavern to see if he was still there, but he wasn't here either.

Now, if this had been a problem with him alone, I would have posted this in the corresponding thread but...

I decided to just keep going with the mission. Helped Huleeya (sp?) get rid of the bothersome fools, and exited the tavern. I checked that he was still with me, and since he was, I decided to do a little test, and went back into the tavern. Just as I had predicted, he also dissapeared, since he wasn't in the previous cell either. I did this test a third time going in and out of the foreign quarter's second floor, and he also dissappeared.

So, I really have no idea what could be causing this, so I'm gonna need a bit of help.

Huleeya has a bad habit of doing that. You can either save before you exit, then reload if he disappears, or try a player->GetPOS (x, y, z - three lines for each coordinate)*, then Huleeya->SetPOS (x,y,z) using the coordinates you got earlier. That's provided he didn't just disappear into the ether. As for Julan, talk to the bartender in the Ald Skar inn to get him back or use the GetPOS/SetPOS trick on him too.

Ah, thanks, that helped. Although the Huleeya thing can be pretty annoying.

Yep. I don't know why he does that, but he can if you have anybody else in tow with you. I guess it's because the engine loses track of him and he disappears.
