Does it look like he's standing on the bank of a river? Is that water in the right side of the pic?

nope, he is standing on the edge of a cliff, like in the trailer.

heres the original image.

Here is a little bit different angle - you can see how big it is compared to other buildings

Clearly you are the one that has been missing the point of the thread, we have all been waiting for the electric thingie to show the dates of the Taylor Swift live shows. The Skyrim ad is just a plus.

I'd go to a Taylor Swift show any day,
provided i had an ipod with me. She's beautiful though.

Back to topic

I think it's time to organize a rally. Let's go there to support Skyrim as Game of Show,
medieval way, torches, forks, svckling pigs, the lot. Not meant to be intimidating.
We'd just be historical, of course.

In the left corner it looks like it says ESRB RR or RP is that like that they haven't put a certain age yet? (Rating Pending)?
It's and awesome poster.
Omg look in the right corner a 5 minute express car wash sweet!

You have to send in a final build/content to the ESRB before they can rate it. Even though we're pretty sure it'll be M, it won't be officially rated for a few more months i'd think.

Man, I sure hope someone notified the people inside and around that building that the poster is going to sound a very loud "DOVAHKIIIIIIIIIN!!!" every hour, on the hour.

The actual-fire-breathing dragon might also take some work getting past City Ordinance...

Confirmed. Fire breathing dragons at E3.

Man...Nothing else can be called "EPIC" after this... It's wise to put something like this near the convention center. This is one of the smartest moves of E3 Bethesda, you are great!

I didn't know we had a thread on this. I used another thread as an outlet for my thoughts on this advertisemant.

The marketing team could've thought of a much better way to execute a skyrim advertisemant instead of slapping a picture on 3 separate faces. Its the difference between a regular advertisemant and an ambient one.

What if they transformed those 3 faces into nordic architecture (with windows) and had a dragon crashing out of the top middle piece and a giant plastic sticker of the nord hero hanging from a window or something?

They could throw one "11" on each face, drop the name and logo in the lower center face. I think it'd grab peoples attention.

Its a great piece as one image. I just can't help but feel they wasted the two outside pieces..

I have to disagree.

They are seeding this image of the Dovahkiin as the iconic image for Skyrim.

Next time people see that image they will remember the key artwork they saw on the building.

If the artwork was too busy, it would not be iconic.

You make a great point, however dragons are a big/iconic part of Skyrim too! :) If anything is going to sell its going to be a dragon coming out of a building.

Its like what media is supposedly doing to kids these days; If someone instills an image of what you're supposed to look like for such a long time, you might feel obligated to look like that. I'm not saying everyone's gonna make a nord character and run around with lower teir armor at level 20, but some might feel obligated to.

My gripe is with the fact that 2 of the 3 faces contain a massive amount of negative space with a little logo or title dropped in the bottom or top right corner. But that doesn't matter, whats done is done.

Well, yeah dragons are a big part of the game, but remember E3 is a week away and the Convention Center is closed to public eyes, what if there's a big dragon statue or poster inside?

there's that big thing in the corner of Bethesda's booth that might be a tail~

i can think of so many people who are furious that Bethesda can afford to do things like this to advertise games they irrationally loathe without ever playing, and it always makes me smile. this is going to be a fun E3, i can smell it.

Well Bethesda commissioned some pretty cool props for Fallout New Vegas and Hunted Demon's Forge...so I can see this kind of thing happening. :)

The poster doesn't shout FUS-RO-DAH? I'm disappointed. :sadvaultboy:

Hopefully a flying by dragon doesn't burn up the poster...

Let me know if you need some dragon storage on the down low..

I have high ceilings and a lot of meat in my fridge - couple blocks away from convention center.

You know what's sad? There will probably be more people attending E3 than NPCs featured in Skyrim.

I'm expecting a more densely populated gameworld than that of parochial Oblivion.

There's going to be around 50k people at E3.

Nick Breckon just tweeted "Our E3 booth somehow looks to be even crazier than last year's".

Sounds good!
