Cheers to Wal-Mart

I'm confused now. I've seen two conflicting release dates, May 10th and May 17th. Which one is the real release date?

Greetings Bass. May 10th is the real release date. When I came to these forums, I was still under the impression it was the 17th(Thanks Playstation Magazine) and a few people on this forum blasted me because I had the wrong release date. . .LoL. Welcome!

Few things about this:
Did the Wal-Mart thing as well a few days back, the cardboard standee is next to my wall right now. (just ask, they might say something about a vendor though, but its likely they wont care)

Cheers on that! I think Wal - Mart is simply trying to compete with Gamestop and all of the other outlets. Frankly I get tired of all of the XBOX elitism I get at Gamestop and the other video game stores, and typically midnight release sessions at wal mart only take me 15 min. and Im in the truck on my way home. . .GS midnight release sessions take over an hour usually. . .

The two GS's i go to dont really do that, i think it might be just cause i kinda-semi-know the people there (at one GS they are super friendly [well, one person is at least], at the other they treat everyone like a big family), last time i went into the Play N' Trade though the dude was real eletist and didnt start acting friendly until after he realized he lost a sale. the only real good reason GS midnight releases are good imo is because there are a lot of people there that you can talk to and discuss things with (feels kinda like a mii-party)

This is what I want to know, their online customer service doesn't seem to know what the hell is going on in regards to the PS3 release date, if the spec ops bonus is in the packages going on the shelf I'll just grab it at walmart in person early morning of the 10th and to hell with the online walmart

While we might not get the 10 gift card, I am pretty sure we will still get the spec ops pack. . .at least with 2k11, Black Ops, ect ect we got all the early buy add ons. . .

Yea, you'll def get the spec ops pack as long as your one of the first few to get there.

remember back when Starcraft 2 came out, no one bothered to pre-order it so we were stuck with all these posters we were suppose to give to people who pre-ordered. So we just ended up giving them to people who showed up at midnight.

Pre-ordered through wal-mart just for the bonuses. Can't wait for my spec-ops code! ($10 e-gift card doesn't hurt as well.)

I pre-ordered BRINK from my local Play N Trade and their pre-order bonus were some patches. One with the name and logo, one for security and one for resistance. I'm not much of a patch guy but I'm sure I'll find some use for them :).
