Chicago Convention-A Fan Made Mid Western Faction Convention

OOC: Not to mention pulse rifles are super rare things, even to have seven of them is hard to believe. Pulse Grenades aren't as rare but to have hundreds or more is also hard to believe for a small town.

We are willing to assist in the retaking and rehabilitation of Spring.

Least we can do when you were willing to side with us against nearly impossible odds.

Hopefully we will not have to take Spring at all.

Look at it this way Max Fightmaster of Spring. You want to end the war that has torn your town apart right? You can agree to peace with us and rebuild or be drawn into a wider war with us and the Republic of Dekker, not to mention almost half of your own town. You say you want to get aid from the MLA and others. Do you really want to be drawn into such a large war?

In the end your people will only be all killed or absorbed by us or the MLA and Spring will just be another ghost town. So why get drawn into such a larger war? Haven't you lost enough already?

Max Fightmaster-Spring
Nicholas-The Honorable Representative of the Communist Republic of Detroit

*Taking his attention away from the Brotherhood for a brief moment Nicholas turns to address Max*

"Ah, I am sorry comrade. I got so sidetracked by these exploiters that I forgot to mention that Detroit gladly accepts trade with such an admirable town."

Hate. . .Hate. . .
Whuh? Oh. Really? Thank you! This brings us one step closer to bringing Spring fully under OUR control *glares menacingly at the BOS represenative*
In return we promise that we will enact more socialist policies, but will never go into full communism. Not since I had to fight that one communist gang. . .

It's more like a 50/50 split. With the aid of close to half of your town wanting to side with us, that just make our job easier. Remember we don't even want to take any of your town. We can aid at least half your town and continue the war that has taken so much from you, or you can sit down with us and we can aid everyone in the rebuilding process.

No actually, we do control more then half. Why do you think I'm here? If a majority couldn't agree on represenative then I wouldn't be here. I've seen how you act. "don't even want to take any of your town" You did it last time and to many other towns before us: tell us you can protect us and in return only volunteers. Before long you control everything.

OOC: His gang alliance does control most of the city, it was implied much earlier in the thread.
You probably don't want to piss him off: The people of Spring are such good fighters even the BOS were afraid of them, again implied earliear.

Cute response though.

Have to admit that 40 to 45% of your town that wants to side with us is pretty big deal. We also have the backing of the Republic of Dekker. We don't even want to control your town. Simply to help.

You really want to get involved in a wider war? For a guy that lost his family to war, you seem to want only more war. Your civil war will become a wider war until Spring becomes so tangled up in onther people's wars that nothing of Spring will remain. Why not make peace?

We never said anything about the MLA except for mentioning several mutants. At this point all that matters is the Family, I will serve them honorably as long as I'm able. My honor is all that I have left. We will side with whoever offers us the best treatment. Threatening to kill our friends, destroy our friends and insulting us is not the way to go about it. You were the ones who left us like this in the first place. The Republic may have given so easily to a fascist regime like you but we won't. The fact remains: 40% is better odds then we've ever had before, and many of those are still undecided.

OOC: ugh. . . I want to go back to the happy-go-lucky eccentric

Nicholas-The Honorable Representative of the Communist Republic of Detroit

"Good to hear, I will send word to Detroit that we can begin shipping our vehicles to you immediately. Now onto more pressing matters. If the brotherhood can promise to leave Detroit alone, then we will stay out of their way. We will not however sit by while they slaughter mutants, mutants are merely an evolved form of the common man and as such must be welcomed with open arms to achieve true equality and balance--so while we promise to take no military towards the Brotherhood we will still be very vocal about our disapproval of their methods of exploiting the commoner to further their ideals which mimic fascism in all but name.

I propose that the Detroit Amendment be enacted by all parties so that we can avoid confusion over the terms of this treaty. I also propose an agreement where any mutant seeking refuge--and is then approved for relocation--shall be allowed to SAFELY make their pilgrimage to Detroit or any settlement willing to receive them."

*Jenkins bursts into the room, his clothes ripped and one side bloody*
"T-t-the... the Yao Gaui!"
*He then falls unconcious from bloodloss*
Oh Hell! I knew I forgot something! I'm going to have to take off but I'll be back!
*Runs out of the room*

Elliot Johnson- The New Confederacy
" Now I have heard that you have a monarchy, I can give you some farming techniques if I can say, get a little haven if the need arises for me to leave the beauty of Charleston, I can also offer some help in case of unrest, if you have a little bit of bread for my butter that is", Elliot motioned one of his bodyguards to bring his suitcase to him. Elliot smiled and knew he now had the upper hand.

Lord Nathan Rathbone - The New Kingdom

Lord Rathbone raises his eyebrow. "I suppose we can work something out."

Max Fightmaster-Spring

Did you see those dead body's outside? I did that, with my bare hands, I'm almost certain they were assassins so I could have saved your life.

"It's good that you did them in before I got a crack at them. I wouldn't have been so nice."

David Meet-The Radiation

Enraged, David slams a fist on to the table.

"You think that the Brotherhood can walk over anyone, don't you! That you're the best hope for humanity! This peaceful Super Mutant, a respected member of the small town of Gale and you wish to trample the town?! It's pathetic!"

Breahing heavily, David began to calm down. "Ah, Mr Villa, our people could be helped with a stronger version of jet. It has almost no negative effects on ghouls you see." saying that, David glared at Styles whilst saying, "Just another reason that we're the very essence of evolution."

Before Alexander could respond a small beep from his suitcase went off he picked it up and opened it inside was a screen and some reports the screens flat line started moving as a smooth British accent emanated “Good morning Mrs Crenshaw and Mrs Pearson, I am Mr. Winter, ah Mr. smith would you be as kind as to turn me round to face the conference I assure you, you wont be excluded from this hmm” Alexander quickly spun the briefcase round to face the room “That’s better now down to business Mrs. Crenshaw, I have a report here that says that you have begun infringements on Chicago territory, both our companies have agreed to leave that area neutral and so I have had no option but to shall we say Take out the trash hmm?” Mr. Winter finished off.

James Wilson- Gale

“Jenkins, quickly Matthew! Take him to nearest hospital. I shall come and visit once this is over.” he then passed Matthew some stimpacks "this should get him back on his feet.

Anyways, we have many different types of cars as well as tanks. Robots that don't need food and water and the desert doesn't effect them. Also if you haven't noticed we are all used to living in the desert. We can travel through deserts easily. Wiping you out will only show others your foolishness in letting mutant filth twist your minds. If that super mutant had any respect for your people it would leave or kill itself. We don't wish to kill anyone in your town. You don't even have to turn over the mutant to us, just send it away.

James slammed down on the desk “FINE, YOU STUCK UP BIGOTTED FOOL”

“We shall kick the captain out of town but by god I hope he goes crazy and starts attacking your caravans. But now you fulfill your side of the bargain, Leave Gale alone, IF any of your members ARE caught in our land they shall be killed or given to champion.”

*turns to Crenshaw and smith”

You there merc crews, we wish to hire one of you to help escort the captain to either Detroit or the MLA, discuss among yourselves who get the job. Although note, if you are successful we may have other jobs available for you.

Spoiler

OOC: But that's just making power armor obselete (and conventions go by lore and in lore power armor is nearly indestructible).
I am fine with some pulse grenades but power armor and car ruining guns are just overpowered. Even if they're in Tactics.
OOC: Not to mention pulse rifles are super rare things, even to have seven of them is hard to believe. Pulse Grenades aren't as rare but to have hundreds or more is also hard to believe for a small town.

Gale probably has 300 pulse grenades at the most, it may seem little to the BOS but they would think it’s a large amount.
As for the gun it doesn’t make Power armour Obsolete, it will still protect the user all it would do is stop them from controlling the suit for about 10 minutes, they will still be indestructible, they just can’t move. (Same affect will happen with cars)
But regardless I’m ending the conflict now…

Cat "The Claw" Crenshaw - Talon Co

Cat listened to the back and forth bickering between the various factions and stifled a yawn. Then she took her feet off the table and leaned forward to address the various representatives.

Nicholas-The Honorable Representative of The Communist Republic of Detroit

"I would like to extend a limited time offer to all my fellow attendees, sign a trade agreement now and you shan't be left in the dust when our new Industrialization plan puts us at the top of the wasteland! We have a surplus of quality vehicles and machines that need to be sent somewhere, otherwise the work of the people will have been in vain, we are willing to part with these quality machines for anything you may have to offer. I will be hearing proposals for the next day, so don't hesitate."

OOC: I am having fun with this character XD

Cat's interest was sparked. "What sort of machine's are we talking about here? The Talon company would also be interested in buying some vehicles. It seems our territory is constantly expanding," she said with a grin.

"Sure, free is better, or pay us to take out your trash, I'm good with whichever," Natasha laughs, "I'm looking for weapons and materials supliers actually, the meat is a bonus."

"Yea, I hear you. My main objective is to strike some deals, get some protection contracts and buy more weapons," she said with a nod. "I guess I'll have to stop by your arena after the conference, make a few wagers," she added with a grin.

Max Fightmaster-Spring

*Eyes widen as Cat enters*

Umm. . . c-c-could T-t-t-tal-l-on Company h-help us w-w-with our gang p-problems?

"So, M-m-max was it? I see you are not happy with the Brotherhood helping you clean up Springs," she said with a sidelong glance at the BoS rep, who's name she couldn't remember at the moment. "Now, if you want the help of the Talon company, we'll gladly come in and take out the trash," she said, mocking Mr. Winter with her last words. "It'll cost you, but it'll be worth it. You will remain independent and don't have to lick the boots of the Brotherhood," she added with a smirk.

James wilson- Gale

Hello... Miss Claw, what is this Talon company you talk about? are you another Merc company like the Red hands? They seem to think they control everything in the merc game, good to seem that someone else is out there.
James Wilson- Gale

You there merc crews, we wish to hire one of you to help escort the captain to either Detroit or the MLA, discuss among yourselves who get the job. Although note, if you are successful we may have other jobs available for you.

"Damn straight, uh Mr. Wilson, was it? The Red's just TALK about how good they are, Talon Company just goes out and proves it," she winked at Mr. Winter's image on a screen. "We would be able to do a better job and I can even offer you a discount, say 12 guards and for the low price of 650 caps?" She threw her offer on the table, with a sidelong glance at Alexander and his briefcase.

Alexander Smith, Conference room

Cat snatches the suitcase and turns it towards her. "Listen Winter, and listen good, if you ever touch any of my man again, then we will go to war. We barely set foot into the Chicago territory and trust me, we are well aware of our deals. However, your boys tried to snatch contracts from under our noses a few times, in OUR territory, mind you, and I trust you believe me when I say that this makes me very unhappy," she hissed and slammed the briefcase shut.

Cat just rolled her eyes. "I'm surprised that with your 'history' you aren't history already. Plus, history is just that, it's the past. We at the Talon Co treat every day as a new challenge. We don't simply point to our history, but march forward, onward, proving our worth every day. And you can quote me on that, Winters," she said.

Cat "The Claw" Crenshaw of Talon Co is it? I have never met a merc that didn't like a good deal. Given the reputation of your company, you do anything for the right amount of caps.

Well the Brotherhood has an offer for you. For every ghoul, Super Mutant, Deathclaw and other mutant scum you kill and bring back the head we will pay a 100 caps each or more, name your price. It doesn't have to be caps, it can be ammo, armours, weapons, maybe even a robot or two. :deal:

Cat raises an eyebrow. "A Yao Guai IN the conference room? Seriously?" She just shook her head and was actually rendered speechless for a moment, which didn't happen often. She blinked and then looked at Max with a wide smile. "Well then, it will be my pleasure to work with you. However, I insist that you keep your Yao Guai muzzled or stabled at all times, when my men are around. We don't want any casualties, now do we?" she said sweetly. "My man will use force, if they are threatened, you understand, don't you... Max?" she added, and winked at Max. "So, tell me a bit about your Raider problem," she added, before making an offer.

OOC: OMG LOLOL you crack me up Vaultboy! hahahaha

:deal:

Cat narrowed her eyes and looked at the BoS rep, thinking about his offer. "Let me mull your offer over and see what kind of deal we can swing for you," she said and then added, "I tell you one thing, we'll not go after Feral Ghouls or Deathclaws for 100 caps per head. I mean I have to pay my boys twice that much, just to get them motivated to take out these disgusting creatures. I'm sure though, that we can come to an arrangement," she said and nodded with confidence.

Mr. Winter and Alexander Smith, Conference room, red hands

Mr. Winter let out a hearty chuckle "Of course Mrs. Crenshaw I'll remind myself to record your company when they degrade into a bench of Chem starved savages scrambling in the dirt over Med-X".

"Your petty jabs don't face me, Winter. My men know better than to use Med-X. Now, if you are finished with your childish games, I would like to go back and discuss business with some of the, shall we say, more grown up factions here?" She said with a smirk.

Mr. Winter started up "Mr. Styles is it I assure the Red Hands can bring in a larger amount of heads than the Talon Co. ever will and all for the price of 50 caps per head and One suit of T-51b power armour Upon agreement, Condition does not matter I Have a Hobby of collecting rare artifacts and a suit of Brotherhood power armour would go well with that what do you say Mr. Styles?"
