China's own Enclave invade?

The Resource War era camps were far worse than the Internment Camps in WW2......they were more like the Russian and Red Chinese Gulags. They weren't torturing and killing nisei in the irl 40's camps like they were doing to Chinese-Americans in the 2070s camps.

I think the proper name for them would be the Crimson Dragoon, they made an appearance in Operation Anchorage.

I think a Chinese Encrave is a novel idea, not exactly The enclave that we all know and love but a remnant of the chinese government would be a nice touch, but more-so on the west coast, the logistics of them being in Boston makes less sense. What about European powers? that would make a little more sense.

I said it was a reflection, not a recreation. It's interesting that they bear more similarity to Communist prison camps, almost like another sign that pre-apocalyptic USA was essentially a democracy in name only, no less the evil empire than it claimed China to be.

Still, it doesn't seem likely we would see an Enclave from out of China. China's history is even longer and more complex than the USA's, and when central leadership is broken, they would likely have just as rough a time of inter-faction fighting as anywhere else.

But... A Fallout set in China... That would be intriguing. It could probably delve into what first sparked the nuclear conflict, because from what little lore we've got, it looks like everybody was surprised the missiles were loosed and the bombs were dropped. That's a little big for just the Conspiracy/Enclave to pull off on their own...

Wouldn't it make more sense to have a Caribbean or Central American (not to name names ;) )force trying to push into the US of A?

The Chinese would have enough of their own problems. Besides, they obviously already tried and failed. So why try again?

I'm intrigued by this idea of "Knights of the Caribbean." Couldn't be Cuba based (which would, sadly, be a nuclear target, if more out of spite than anything else), but the idea is still interesting.

EDIT: Holy cow, I can see it now! They could be riding across the ocean on Atomic-powered HOVERBIKES!

One obvious problem. The spoils of war isn't all that useful to a continuation-of-government program if your own country is a nuclear hellhole. What you could have been using to line you and your citizen's pockets with gold is instead spent on things like "basic infrastructure" and "reclaiming farmlands from mutant cannibal Pandas". Forget looting the remains of the US, they need to get their own country back in order before they can do anything else.

And if China DID manage to avoid nukes due to some magical anti-ICBM system and wanted to loot the US, they'd have done so by now. FO2 would have featured an invasion by the Chinese, not the Enclave.

It has been over 200 years. Quite frankly we cannot assume that in the event that China went underground, they couldn't have already re-emerged and got things running in at home some manner. We also cannot say they would have already been here. We have no info to go on.

See, What I wrote was chalk full of qualifiers for this very reason. We cannot assume, either way, which is why I painted a particular scenario, under the umbrella of "if".

It could be they haven't regrouped and/or are waiting for radiation to die down prior to setting sail for America. Could. That's a soft word, contrasted to your hard line "would have" One is speculative, the other attempts to be matter of fact, when we have no facts to base anything upon.

A better question would be.... what about all those Power Armored Infantry that were IN China at the time the bombs fell. There was no break in the fighting or the war before the bombs fell. The U.S had Military forces in China when the bombs fell. We don't know if China had some contegency plan to hide away their elite in some bunker in the event of nuclear war. We DO know th U.S had armed forces in the area at the time.

They waited a hundred years before they began investigating the mainland. It was right after the Master's defeat they started scouting the mainland.

Assuming China got hit by the US as hard as they hit the US, they should be in similar situation. If the Americans are still struggling for territorial control, I don't see how the Chinese would have the means and the will to invade America.

And even if they do... I see no reason why China would start the invasion on the East Coast...

LOL. I don't know about Atomic powered hoverbikes (though they do sound cool), but it is a more plausible then having the Chinese invade again. It's a shorter trip and although yes, they would get nuked too, you would expect that they would get a lot less nukes dropped on them.

Extra option; Go the South park way and BLAME CANADA!
