This is really saddening news to me, and I'm sure sad news to everyone who loved New Vegas. Even if I didn't see eye to eye with his desire to re-bomb the Core Region, he's still a superb writer, and this news feels like a huge damper on the potential to see another New Vegas-like Fallout title.

The latter half of the title is joking...sorta. It sounds like he's already got plans that he's not disclosing, but if Bethesda could grab him, holy crap do it. This is like the only guy in the industry who can write...

Yeah I heard the news too. Pretty depressing because I enjoyed his work with Obsidian in the last ten years especially with New Vegas, NWN 2, and KOTOR2.

I'm curious to what is next for him, but like you said if Bethesda can get him, then they should because they could use help in the writing department; their writing hasn't been as good as MK left imo. On the plus side Obsidian still has Sawyer, Urquart, Cain, and Fenstermaker.

I think Beth's filled with Lead Designers but I'm not against him being picked up by Beth. Do I see it happening, probably not.
