So I went to Diamond City last night to followup with Nick on some leads and ... there are Christmas trees all over the place. I can't tell if it's because it's Christmas in game (is there a calendar in game) or if it's because we're nearing Christmas in real life.

Has anyone else seen the Christmas trees? Do you know what prompted them?

There's an in game calendar. You can see it in your Pipboy right next to where it shows the time of day. Diamond City also gets decorated for Halloween. These are some neat little extras that a lot of people will probably completely miss just by chance.

A few days ago, when I fast traveled to the DC market, I also saw Christmas trees and decorations. The next day I didn't. LOL So not sure what prompts the decoration, but it was nice to see it.

I just looked at mine and it's on 12/25 so I fast traveled to Diamond City and yep, there are trees and lights everywhere. Really cool! Wish I had access to them in the build screen.

I also had a guard say, "Happy Halloween" to me and I looked at my calendar and it was 11/31. Then I noticed the Halloween decorations but they were more subtle.

Also, there's a hidden Christmas Tree somewhere that I found. Can't remember where now.

Yup, your Pip-boy shows the date on the Map (and Data?) screen. I missed Halloween because I hadn't been to Diamond City yet, but I made sure to pop in on Christmas just to see it.

I can confirm this, and it is excellent.

I wonder what happens on New Years Eve? Hah. Have to get there before midnight and see I guess.

I noticed this as well, thought it was a really cool addition. I was half expecting a ghoulified Santa and his sleigh pulled by a bunch of radstags

I already made a thread about this a while ago, but yes. Diamond City will celebrate holidays or at least certain ones so far. Christmas and Halloween are confirmed. I wonder if Easter or even the 4th of July is also possible?
