Chun Li SetEssential

Post » Mon Aug 22, 2011 10:00 am

The syntax for SetEssential to set an npc as essential, from the GECK wiki, reads like the following:

............SetEssential 1

Checking Chun Li in the GECK, her Base Object is 'ChunLi' 01028208. This means that her base object will be set to essential, and her ChunLiREF will follow the condition. I get back to the game and type:

............SetEssential 01028208 1

"Actor Base 01028208 not recognized."

Why am I so stupid? Is the Fallout 3 console racist against me because I'm not white? Or is the Fallout 3 console not compliant because it is racist, but because I am stupid?

Chun Li is one of two followers you can get from Rat Trap Remastered, a remnant Chinese vault if you are curious:

Well, there is no way to say it politely but I'm afraid it's just that you're stupid, using your own words. :P

Replace the first two numbers, 01, with the mod's index number. You can see it in FOMM, after the plugin's name.

Thank you, I'll try that and hallelujah if it works. I guess Bethesda isn't racist, then.

I doubt. There are an equal number of representatives of each race in this game, even if it's not realistic to have 25% of D.C.'s inhabitants hispanic.
