Chunk of Sleeping Giant Inn Missing

Post » Tue May 22, 2012 8:02 pm

Playing through Skyrim on a new character and I got this:

When i walk over it I just fall down and spawn next to it. Tried reloading older save and restarting but still get it.

As far as I know, it's only happening in the Sleeping Giant Inn, but could be other places as well.

It's annoying as hell, especially as I need to sleep in one of those beds for a certain quest!

Anyone think of anything? I don't think it's any mods or ini tweaks as I reset everything and still have this issue.

Any console commands that can fix this? Arggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

Hmmm....I'm putting in the console:

prid 600A1 enable

but just getting "invalid object reference", though that was the sort of thing I thought might help. I appreciate the help though, thank you :)

Any other ideas?

Use the 4gig workaround to launch the game. This is caused I think because the original .EXE uses only 2gig of RAM. My computer ran into this prob alot when using the original exe, things like missing walls, bodies, faces all inside buildings but when outside there would be purple giants and purple mountains.

Yeah I already am dude :(

It's only happening in that certain spot as well, I've been to different inns with the same building model, and they're all fine.

Can't really understand how this happened. Wasn't like it a while a go.

Still haven't resolved this issue and I tried reinstalling. Does anyone know the reference number for that exact part of the Inn (the floor where the room you can rent is)? Maybe i could try enabling it in the console if I knew the number.

It's driving me nuts, if someone could do me a massive favor and find out the exact id for the floor in the rentable room in the console, I will be very greatful.

Thank you.

600A1 is the ID for that reference. If it doesn't exist then something's seriously wrong...

Yeah I tried it but that just said invalid reference thing that I said earlier.

I was wondering if it would work if someone selected that part of the floor on the console with the mouse and tell me what the ID says.

For example the part of the floor next to it has: "(0005d6a8)

when I type disable, it disappears and when I type enable, it reappears, so I was hoping it would do the same thing if I had the ID for the part of the floor I'm missing.

If you reinstalled the game and it still does that...doesn't that point to bad information from your install for that specific area?

Ok I found the cause.

Jaysmods (swords)

Some reason it was causing the issue.

Went through all my mods trying to find it.

Thanks for the help guys, even if it didn't work, I appreciate it!
