Cities in Skyrim?

Post » Thu Jul 22, 2010 3:14 am

Pretty sure they will just make some of those cities into small villages. I don't see any reason why they would cut any completely out.

As for which ones will be major cities? I have no idea, it's anyone's guess really/

I hope they do include all eight cities and just make three of them into smaller towns...

Remember Hutch? That was a city on Cyrodiil's map in the gameplay demos for Oblivion. It wasn't included in the final game...

Hopefully they are all included through the use of DLC.

I'm going to say some will be massive, hopefully more so than the Imperial City. The rest will be more like the other cities in Oblivion. And hopefully we will see the return of more smaller settlements as well.

It would be so awesome if they added new cities with DLC. DLC that changes or adds stuff to the world for the better would be a great addition.

This. I find DLC to be incredibly annoying. <_<

For the reasonability of cities, I hope they make them look like they have options even if they aren't in game. You know carts would be going through those cities and down those roads, but in Oblivion, the transition between sections of the Imperial City http://ui19.gamespot.com/594/screenshot7_2.jpg Not that cities can't have steps, but make some road that carts can get around on.

Don't know if anyone mentioned it in all this, but given that the game is now confirmed to be 200 years past Oblivion, how do we know any of the current political maps are even accurate?

Well there will be 5 major cities and then a bunch of little villages as well. So all in all you're looking at probably 15-20 towns.

Morrowind had a lot of large cities, just take a look. http://www.uesp.net/maps/mwmap/mwmap.shtml

At least 5 or 6 large, lots of medium and small.

A small settlement I would consider to be like water's edge or hackdirt from OB, heck even Seyda Neen was larger than those.

I'm hoping skyrim has lots of medium sized villages.

Morrowind and Oblivion both had lots of major cities but they only had one massive city. Vivic in MW and IC in OB. If they have 5 cities of the scale of either of these two I'd be happy with none else.

I'm hoping this. Do any of you have that colour rendered map that has quite a few towns and cities named on it? Something like that hopefully.

I hope that the cities will be much bigger and feel more diverse. I also think a large bustling metropolis(Whiterun being the main city i think) would be pretty sweet after being disappointed by the Imperial City.

Hey i'm new here so here goes for a new post.

I think we'll see all of them in one form or another. Perhaps Solitude will be one of the 5 massive cities but Dawnstar would be a dungeon/ruin that we could visit. Afterall, it is 200 years since the maps we are guessing off of.

Hopefully they don't cut any cities out of the game at the last second, like "Sutch" from OB...... It existed at one time look it up....
