City Guards (npc)

Post » Sun Dec 11, 2011 1:10 pm

They know everything about you and your progress.
Is't possible to create a mod to lower their intelligence - so they can't figure out
what is going on all the time, which guild you're in especially the Dark brotherhood, or
the thieves guild, which is suppose to be secretive society within the Elder scrolls world.
Discuss.

I can see what they were trying to do (i.e. making Skyrim seem more dynamic) but I am not convinced it works. It is annoying when seconds after you complete a task a guard comments on it. What is even worse is that I venture into a cave and kill some bandits with bow (which I rarely use generally) but then a guard starts talking about my bow and how he is a sword man himself.

Were you following me in that dark cave?

'So you can cast a few spells...'
I've not cast a single spell within any cities so far, lol. :banghead:
Well, a few thoughts for Bethesda about what is evidence/obvious, or not concerning your character progression/reputation,
and some perks/skills should be a lot harder to detect for mere city guards. :)

Well sometimes they are Captain Obvious is Obvious for me. Things like:

"You use both your hands to wield your blade, I can respect that" - Yes I know that cumbersome blade is my main device to inflict damage, thank you for pointing it out.
"Hail Sithis" - WAIT WHAT?! So much for stealth and secrecy.
