Um, there's no way the Imperial Legion will have much of a foothold in Skyrim after 200 years of a decaying empire.

I voted other. Since some cities will be allied with the Empire and others will be allied to separatist rebels (no negative or positive connotations it's just what they are) I'd think the Imperial cities would be guarded by The Imperial Legion and the separatists would have their own police force.

Um, there's no way the Imperial Legion will have much of a foothold in Skyrim after 200 years of a decaying empire.

One of the plot elements is a Skyrim civil war between cities that wish to secede from the Empire and those that wish to remain a part of the Empire.

A Nordic Guard faction, the empire has been on a major decline since the end of the Septim line. They have very little left from the old empire, therefore they would keep the legion based in cyrodiil and let the other provinces govern themselves for the most part.

I think a bit of both, since Skyrim is still technically part of the empire, there will be Imperial guards, but there will also be Nord rebel Militia or something.

Itll be like Morrowind is my guess. Legion guards in the forts... provincial guards for different cities and their factions.

Other. I wonder if they will still say "Stop! You violated the law. Pay the court a fine or serve your sentence. Your stolen goods are now forfeit." God I can't believe I have that whole thing memorized. The Guard song on youtube is hilarious.

I don't think there should be a universal guard faction (either imperial or nordic). Each city should keep its own guards, with the Imperial Legion kept to outposts that perhaps protect the roads.

It better be Nord Guards only. I wouldn't mind if the Imperial Legion is in the game but those guards would have to worry about the faction that wants to break away from the empire.

Mostly from nordic factions I would think, maybe some cities/towns are still ruled by the empire and use imperial guards.

I agree with the others saying both will be in. One side of civil war wants to secede from the empire, the other wants to stay. Therefor, one section might have a nordic guard, the other might have imperials.

I'm assuming nords, or some type of mercenary faction.
