"You call yourself Nords?! You let these Thalmor bastards order you around, polish their boots for them? I suppose you warm their bedrolls at night, too. KILL THEM! You can blame it on the Stormcloaks later. This might be your one chance to do something worthy of Sovngarde, you miserable cowards!"

High Admiral Red-Eye

"Maybe. But not today. Today I get retribution for the families who will no longer have their fathers, brothers and husbands. Today, I make the Empire pay dearly for not accepting our independence, and today I do my country proud. Today I show you how foolish a leader you've been, and this time, the men I slay won't be illusions."
-General Baldur Red-Snow

"You're a Nord. Are you really suprised to see these men up in arms to defend their homeland from tyranny?"

-Captain Boldir Iron-Brow

"In the Shadows of the forest, darkness stalks. Some are fang-less, some are faceless. Everyone is darkness…”
-Praefect Lorgar Grim-maw

“It’s what we do best, we die standing…”
-General Marius Imperius

Remnants of the Fourth Legion continue to be a painful thorn in the side of High King Ulfric Stormcloak, and High Queen Elisif Stormcloak. However with the help of Captain Baldur Red-Snow, now General Baldur Red-Snow, most resistance in Falkreath hold has been crushed. The IX Cohort of the Sixth Legion was utterly annihilated during the Battle of Camp Rommulas. The only thing standing in the way of a complete Stormcloak victory was a single mysterious legionary, who waged a brutal guerrilla campaign against General Red-Snow's forces on his lonesome for several months, before vanishing without a trace. On another front, the blockade by the Imperial Navy around Skyrim has faced heavy attack from the new and fresh Stormcloak fleet, led by the new High-Admiral Rebec . Various improvements have been issued to the new fleet. However upgrading the navy has cost a great deal, along with arming the young country’s army, as such the High King's treasurer is dangerously close to debt. In other news, a brutal string of attacks on military targets have sprung up in the Whiterun hold, the soldiers responsible have called themselves, “The Sons of Whiterun” and are rumored to be lead by the exiled Jarl Balgruuf of Whiterun, and the Imperial General Tullius, though none of these rumors can be proven. To add further problems, the Fourth Legion, under General Marius Imperius, are on the verge of reaching Skyrim. Needing more help, High-King Ulfric Stormcloak has requested for General Red-Snow to head back to Solitude and join him on his High Council along with the likes of the legendary Galmar Stone-Fist, and Siltus Fury-Slash, the general left his second, Captain Boldir Iron-Brow, to take charge of the Stormcloak garrison in Falkreath. In Cyrodiil, the Dominion continues to exert its shadowy influence over the Empire's politics, and rumors are starting to spread that Emperor Amaund is being “influenced” by the High Over-Seer, along with the three members of his High Council, High General Titus (Representing the Legion), High Councillor Dixious (Representing the Elder Council) and Spymaster Leoindias. (Representing the Penitus Oculatus). Even worse, the Emperor is expected to announce his intentions to sanction an Imperial lead “Talos” hunting force, codenamed the “Imperial Inquisition”, which will be lead by his young daughter, Princess Dales Motierre.

Spoiler

Name: Vordyn Tordyn

Gender: Male

Age: 21

Race: Dunmer

Faction: Stormcloak Fort Amol Garrison

Rank: The Ashstorm (AKA around Ice-Veins Rank)

Appearance: Vordyn has short, black hair in a ponytail when he is without a helmet, is clean-shaven, and looks relatively clean yet with a look that radiates passion. He is 5''6'

Equipment (Weapons, armor, etc) : Vordyn wields two ebony daggers which he names Dawn and Dusk. They are enchanted with paralysis and fire for Dawn and ice for Dusk. Vordyn also has a pouch which carries his various potions, poisons, and ingredients. Vordyn wears light chitin gloves, boots, and armor with his face being covered by a black leather hood with a small covering around his mouth and nose. He also keeps his father's amulet and ring.

Personality: Vordyn was formerly a very cheerful Dunmer who always wanted to prove himself and got along great with everyone. However, after his father's death, Vordyn grew much more distant. Now, Vordyn focuses on killing as many Imperials as he can. Vordyn is very emotional, so he is prone to passionate outbursts, whether they be angry or proud boasts. Vordyn also tries to make friends, but tends to try and keep himself away from others.

Background/History: Vordyn was born in the city of Blacklight, after Reval met a Dunmer woman who tended his wounds after a particularly bad bandit attack. At first, Reval and the nurse didn't get along, due to Reval's insistance on making sure the bandits never hurt anyone else despite his injuries. Eventually, both fell in love and got married. Vordyn was born a few years later and grew up idolizing his father. Everyday, Vordyn wanted to train with his dad in both the art of swordfighting and the art of spells.

Vordyn trained both of these skills for years, earning his father's approval when he saw how quickly he was learning both swordfighting and spells. Vordyn was also pleased at how quickly he was learning and wanted to constantly prove his skills. Reval had to constantly get Vordyn out of trouble since Vordyn always got into scuffles saying he was defending his family's honor or saying that he was going to be the greatest warrior in all of Morrowind. Reval responded by saying that Vordyn needed to learn patience before he could become a great warrior. Vordyn agreed and continued to follow in his father's footsteps.

When news of the Skyrim Civil War reached Reval, he went there. However, Vordyn wanted to come too, wanting to prove himself to his father. Reval, knowing that Vordyn would follow him anyway, agreed despite his wife's wishes but told Vordyn that he could only stay in the less dangerous posts and only once Reval was certain of what was going on. In return for Vordyn waiting, Reval gifted two enchanted daggers given by an old friend to Vordyn who said he needed some signature weapons.

When the Civil War reached a stable condition, Vordyn was told that he could come. Vordyn immediately joined the Stormcloaks upon coming to Skyrim and was assigned to his father's post. Vordyn was pleased at this and worked to prove himself to the Stormcloaks and his father. He accomplished this with such a quick rate that he earned the nickname of Ashstorm for his stealthy exploits.

After his father's death, Vordyn and his mother were at a loss. Vordyn decided to take a break for a few months to anolyze his situation. After a few weeks, Vordyn made his choice. He asked for a transfer to Falkreath since he was skilled, respected, was good with plants, and he had a stake there on account of his father. His request was approved and Vordyn was transferred to Falkreath where he intends to make his father's memory mean something.

Motives: Vordyn doesn't hate the Empire as much as his father, but after his father's death, he grows to hate legionaires like nothing else. He gladly kills them in memory of his father. Vordyn also fights to prove himself worth of his father's legacy and to prove himself as a worthy warrior. Finally, Vordyn has a strange feeling that something wasn't right with his father's death, so Vordyn goes to Falkreath to try and find some answers to his questions on what really happened to his father.

Skills: Vordyn is exceptionally skilled with blades, but he is very deadly with dual-wielding his daggers which he can attack in quick manner. Vordyn is also an expert at spells, but he doesn't have the endurance of his father so he can only maintain lesser summons like Frost Atronachs. In addition, Vordyn is also knowledgeable about various toxins and potions, so Vordyn has knowledge of various plants and animals while also being able to coat his weapons with deadly toxins or make useful potions. Lastly, Vordyn is very athletic so he can sneak and fight with an almost inhuman set of reflexes.

BigBossBalrog
Spoiler

Name: Lorgar Grim-maw (Also Known as the “Darkened Archer” or “The Grimm Archer” among the stormcloak army )

Gender: Male

Age: 55 (Looks like he’s in his late 30’s or early 40’s)

Race: Nord (Skaal) (Is also described to have “un-human” strength and speed, also he has advanced regeneration and very accurate eye sight)

Faction: Imperial Legion (Sixth Legion, V Cohort)

Rank: Prefect

Sub Rank: Specialist

Appearance: Tall, Medium Build (Grew thinner when he was in Falkreath by himself) , very pale skin , dark brown hair, finely trimmed dark-brown beard, right face heavily scarred, eye patch covers right eye. He has distinctive “fang-like” teeth.

Equipment (Weapons, armor, etc) : Wears a custom made long-coat made from high quality fabric, along with a pitch-black cloak and hood, that bears a symbol of a purple wolf with broken fangs. He wears dark-leather gloves and leather boots. Whenever he puts up his hood, an unnatural darkness cloaks his face. He bears a large ebony great bow, along with custom-made ebony tipped arrows. He also carries two large ebony knives that he keeps strapped to his legs. Always carries two vials of sand-scorpion venom with him (Imported from Hammerfell). Wears a unique silver ring, that has a wolf carved on it with two amethyst eyes.

Personality: Lorgar is an enigma among the imperial legion. Ever since he returned from Falkreath several months ago, he’s been quite different. He rarely, if ever, speaks. And when he does, it’s in a cold and dark tone, a far cry from the cheerful and talkative officer that was deployed to Skyrim in the first place. He’s also gotten more and more vicious and pragmatic, willingly to use any method able to complete the mission. He has no more qualms with hurting civilians or expending soldiers. When he speaks to nobles and politicians, while remaining courtesy, always uses a voice dripping with absolute venom.

Background/History: Lorgar’s months spent in Falkreath alone, facing against the entire stormcloak force, are virtually unknown to everyone, except Lorgar and General Marius, whom he confided in. After returning to Cyrdoli, Lorgar was court marshalled by High General Titus for “cowardice” and the destruction of his cohort. After a few weeks of debate, Lorgar was found guilty of all charges. He was publicly stripped of his rank of Legate, and the IX Cohort was officially disbanded and left in dishonour. He was given the rank of Prefect and specialist, and then re-assigned to the V Cohort of the Sixth Legion, under General Marius’s command. As afforded by his rank of specialist, he usually operates alone for weeks or even months at a time, doing operations that require stealth, such as scouting enemy territory or assassination. His most notable operations were the uncovering and complete destruction of a stormcloak sympathetic cell in Bruma, and the assassination of a bandit chief, under orders from High-King Ulfric to cause as much chaos as possible in Cydodili. When the legion finally reached the mountain line separating Cyrdoili from Skyrim, Lorgar was deployed as a messenger to King Ulfric, in an attempt to give him one last chance to surrender Skyrim back to the empire.

Motives: Virtually unknown to everyone.

Skills: Archery: Is un-matched with the great-bow, able to snipe a target from 200 yards. Likes to coat his ebony tipped arrows in scorpion poison.

One-handed: Is deadly with his two ebony knives.

Sneak: Can remain completely un-detected in darkness, while able to move around un-noticed in the day light.

Light Armour: Utilizes a custom-made long coat made from high quality fabric, and dark leather under-guard

Miscellaneous: Doesn’t really spend anytime off, and is considered a work-alcoholic by his comrades. Rarely smile’s, and when does, it’s always in a mocking style. Enjoys reading a good deal, while only a rumour, a legionary claimed to see him reading an “romantic” novel labelled “The general and her maid”, (YURI YURI YURI) when questioned by a few soldiers, he claimed it to be “none of there business to what he reads, and hypothetical if he was reading a novel like that, he would be reading it for the story, not for any other reasons”. An attempt to sneak into his tent to confirm this ended with a broken leg and arm. Doesn’t enjoy ale, and when he drinks alcoholic beverages (Which is rare) he drinks mead and wine.

Spoiler
Name: Baldur Red-Snow
Gender: Male
Age: 38
Race: Nord
Faction: Stormcloaks and Necro Nords or "Grim Ones".
Rank: General

Appearance: Brown long hair, green eyes, no scars. Blue war paint on right cheek. It's a swirl like in the game. New scar from a dual with one of the wolf men of the imperial army. Beard now trimmed. 6 feet three inches tall, good muscle build. Basically my avatar picture except with brown hair.

Nordic carved armor, two nordic carved axes enchanted with lightning and a nordic carved shield on Baldur's back. Black cape attached under his shoulder pauldrons. Silver lined bear head, looks like the Windhelm bear symbol. Enchanted with fire resistance. Wears bear helmet in battle.

Personality: Calm and cool headed. Often likes to joke and taunt. Sometimes he will make up songs either before battle to get his men excited, or at inns or while relaxing. Sometimes he'll make fun of the origin of his enemies in dialogue. This is because his mother was a Dibella Priestess and he is self conscious about his own origins. Some of his jokes tend to be of a racist nature. He is not a racist, but he is distrusting of elves, xenophobic if you will, and is considered by them to be offensive. He hates the Legion deeply, but does not let it show, usually laughing instead of displaying his anger when they are involved.

Background/History: His father Ulrin Red-Snow was a Legionnaire, his mother Ysana Home-Wrecker is a Dibella priestess…yea. And pa was her....student, so to speak in one of their lessons. Ysana did not want to leave for the life of a wife, so we left her and moved to Bruma. His father stayed in the Legion, and he joined the Stormcloaks, feeling betrayed by the Legion, and not understanding his father’s explanation of why he stays loyal, especially since his father taught him about Talos and said he would rather die than forsake Talos. His father says loyalty to the Legion is loyalty to Talos. He made the mistake of letting this be known, so he didn’t get the chance to fight often with the Stormcloaks. Not until he proved himself by agreeing to infiltrate an Imperial fort and kill their Captain. Little did he know the Captain was his father. His Stormcloak Captain knew.

He dressed up as a legion recruit and said he had urgent news for the Captain of the fort. His father, wearing his full legion heavy armor with his helmet spotted him immediately and signaled with his hands to come in the fort, not wanting to give away who he was with his voice. When they were alone in the fort tower, his father removed his helmet and let him know who he was, and Baldur, while taken aback did not hesitate to strike at him. Most of his attacks were brushed off easily, his father's armor being made of Skyforge steel, as was his axe and shield. Baldur was using standard recruit gear, and the sword was one recovered from a skirmish his squad was in, and was battle damaged. His father taunted him during the fight, calling him names, making jokes, trying to get him angry and screw up. The last thing his father said to him was it was fitting that he be a traitor since he was the son of a [censored].

That angered Baldur and almost led to his downfall. His father sidestepped his charge and in one movement swiped at his son's back. Baldur pivoted to block the blow, and the skyforge axe shattered his battle damaged sword, and sliced across his sword arm. Baldur, desperate and angered by the fresh wound and the sting of blood in his eye that splattered in his face from it tackled him and beat him to death with the pommel of the sword. He dressed up in his father's outfit, took his axe and shield, and used a rope and a great sword his father had in his office to scale down the fort walls from his father's window, by sticking the sword through his desk, and using the desk as an anchor for the base of the rope, and tying the rope to the sword's hilt.. There were many Imperial patrols nearby, so the outfit came in handy.

He was made Captain for assisting Ulfric in his escape at Helgen. He was about to be roasted alive by Alduin while being attacked by legionaries and he pushed Ulfric out the way and used two dead legion soldiers for cover. Ulfric had to pull their seared flesh off of him to get him free. For this reason, his nickname is “The Unkindled”. His weapon of choice is his family skyforge steel war axe and a skyforge steel shield of fire resistance. They are the weapons that he took from his father. Ulfric had his court wizard enchant the shield as a reward. His combat prowess was decent, but he did not feel it was significant enough to be captain. He is brave and loyal to the cause, and beat his own father in combat. Ulfric thinks this is good enough. Baldur will have a lot to live up to, as people expect him to be as good a leader and fighter as his father. Baldur never expected the position of leader to be thrust upon him so soon, but it has, and he will lead to the best of his ability, mirroring his father's teachings, whether his ghost likes it or not. He looks forward to killing more Imperial Legionnaries.

Updated History:

Baldur was promoted to General by Ulfric Stormcloak for his success in Falkreath. He was given the same authority as Galmar, and is personally responsible for the actions of the Necro Nords. He changed his appearance slightly after his promotion, changing his war paint to a blue swirl on his right cheek, and trimming his beard down. Baldur now allowed the Dunmer people to join if they proved to have the skill. This was how he chose to honor Reval. Some people suggested that they change the name since it was no longer all Nord, but they couldn't think of a better name, so it stayed. Sometimes Baldur would refer to his new Dunmer soldiers as "Draugr Dunmer". Because of this, when people spoke of the force as a whole, they would refer to them as the "Grim Ones" which became their unofficial title. He was donned with a black cape with the Windhelm bear symbol on it in silver. It was attached under his shoulder pauldrons. His cape was enchanted with fire resistance, and his two axes were enchanted with lightning damage.

Baldur had encountered Lorgar, occasionally playing games of cat and mouse in the woods. He had grown to be a troublesome figure, often sniping stormcloak men, ambushing supply lines, and even sniping at Baldur a few times. Some of the greener members of the Stormcloaks started calling him the Darkened Archer out of fear, and the name stuck ever since. Baldur tried taunting the man by pretending to be alone, and bringing up his men who were killed, but Lorgar showed that he learned from his mistakes, and he was not able to lure him in a trap. Baldur never got a chance to speak to him in person, only catching glimpses of him from time to time. The attacks eventually ceased, and Baldur was then sent to Whiterun to investigate the rumors of Tullius and Balgruuf organizing attacks on the men there. Baldur could not find anything behind the random attacks however, which seemed to be mainly random bandit and mercenary attacks, but after he and his "Grim Ones" killed enough of them, the attacks eventually halted. He trained with the Companions during that time after persuading them with much coin since they normally did not assist non Companion members. During that time, he became a lot better with his axes and became much more nimble in his heavy armor.

Miscellaneous: He never did get involved with tavern wenches like he originally planned partly due to his new rank, and partly due to Rebec, who he got to know better during their trip to Solitude. He started realizing he was getting to old to be sleeping around without developing feelings, and he began to develop some for Rebec, although he never told her about them, as she was a free spirit.

Motives: Deeply loyal to the Stormcloaks, Nord and Dunmer alike. Still hates the legion for the Talos ban and for trying to take his land's new freedom, as well as for causing him to kill his father. No longer distrusting of Dunmer at all due to Reval's death.

Skills: Block, One handed, light armor, heavy armor, and two handed. Primarily uses one handed, but he was trained in two handed combat.

Spoiler
Name: Velan Quintus
Gender: Male
Age: 34
Height: 6 ft. 4 in.
Weight: 215 lbs.
Race: Imperial
Faction: Legion
Rank: Quaestor
Appearance: Velan is a very large, muscular guy. He can look intimidating to say the least. He has short dark hair, which is kept well. He has a few small scars littered across his body, including one on his left cheek.
Equipment:
Standard Imperial Sword & Shield
Standard Imperial Armor (Heavy)
A healing potion
Personality: Velan is a friendly guy who loves to converse with his fellow soldier. In battle, he is a fierce fighter who will gladly die for his fellow Legionnaire. He is of average intelligence. He understands strategies, but isn’t likely to come up with one on his own, other than kill everything that is attacking. He works extremely well in a group, and is good at keeping morale up. As for morals, you could say his are a little above average. He himself wouldn’t use torture or other ruthless tactics, but he understands that his superiors may, and he doesn’t complain.
Motives: His father was a soldier in the Legion. His father’s father was in the Legion. So he joined the Legion. He has been raised seeing the love his father had for the legion, and now he too understands the love. He fights for the Empire, and all of its citizens.
Thoughts on the Thalmor: He doesn’t really care for them. He is a soldier of the Imperial Legion, and nothing more. He doesn’t like to be ordered around by anyone except other, higher ranking, members of the Legion. He won’t openly defy a Thalmor though, unless his superiors told him to of course.
Skills: One Handed, Blocking, Hand to Hand, Heavy Armor, and is a decent smith. Well, decent enough to sharpen his sword and repair his armor anyways.
Background: Velan has been groomed for the Legion his whole life. He was born an only child to two good parents. His father has been heavily training him for the Legion since he was about 7 years old. At about 15, he was already bigger than his father. He was a lot stronger too.
At about 20 years old, Velan joined the Legion. He was noted for being an excellent soldier, and within months, was promoted. He was promoted up to Quaestor. However, after he had performed excellent at that rank, he was offered a promotion. He promptly turned them down, saying he would never leave his brothers on the front line. He also said that he wasn’t good at leading people anyways.
So for the past 14 years, he has been a stellar soldier on the front lines in many battles for the Imperial Legion, and is well respected for it. And Velan wouldn’t have it any other way.
Spoiler
Name: Eduard Laenius
Gender: Male
Age: 30
Height: 5 ft. 10 in.
Weight: 190 lbs.
Race: Imperial
Faction: Legion
Rank: Specialist
Appearance: Appears very lean, and very fit. He has a couple scars on his back, but he wouldn’t tell you why. He has medium length, dark hair. It comes down just above his eyes in the front. He is very fast on his feet.
Equipment (Weapons, armor, etc) : This is completely dependent on the mission. This is all the equipment he owns though:
2 Orcish Daggers. One has a paralyze enchantment, the other is unenchanted.
An Elven Bow with a Paralyze Enchantment
A standard Imperial Sword
Standard set of Imperial Armor (Light Armor to be specific)
Custom set of Hooded Leather Armor (It is a very dark blue, almost black)
A couple of already prepared poisons, and a few ingredients to create more.
Personality: On the outside, he appears to be very charming and sociable. He is not shy about sharing his opinion or his emotions, for the most part. On the inside, he is machine-like. What I mean by this is that he is perpetually thinking. He will go over his own strategy numerous times before it is finalized, and he is very critical of himself. He loathes making mistakes, and sometimes doesn’t deal with it well. That is why he prefers to works alone, or at the least with a small group. So he can basically only blame himself. On the topic of morals, you would say his are pretty low. He has no problem with torture, assassination, framing others, or other ruthless behaviors. However, this is only if he sees it absolutely necessary. As for how selfish he is, he is about in the middle. He likes to think of himself first, but if it comes down to it, he may lay down his life for the Legion.
Motives: His original motives for joining the Legion was to get gold and women. He was under the impression that’s why everyone joins. After joining, he found new motivation. He began to love the Legion. As of now, he is in the Legion to protect himself and others, by any means necessary. However, that doesn’t mean a good amount of gold or a pretty lady won’t motivate him. A deeper motivation that he would never admit to himself is that he hopes to use the gold he makes to give his sister a great life.
Thoughts on the Thalmor: Eduard envies the Thalmor for the most part. He sees there methods as brilliant, and there tactics interesting. However, he doesn’t care for their goals. He also isn’t one to take many orders from them. He is a member of the Legion first, the Empire second.
Skills: Archery, One-Handed, Sneak, Speech, Lockpicking, Pickpocket, Light Armor, and a little bit of Alchemy (only has knowledge of poisons though).
Background: He was born into an alright home. He has a younger sister, who is about 8 years younger than him. He cares for her more than he does himself. His father, a hunter, raised him to be an excellent archer. He surpassed his dad in skill by the age of 15. His mother was very smart, and he often studied history and other subjects with her. His favorite subjects have always been war and the strategies used in them. He is very well read as a result.
He led a pretty normal life until he was 20 years of age. One day, he came to find out that his father had been killed by a bear during a hunting trip. Then about six months later, his mother was killed by a passing bandit while he was out on a hunting trip, trying to take the place of his father. After that, it was just him and his sister. After performing odd jobs, some of them legal, some of them not so, he managed to get himself a home and someone to care for his sister while he was away. He did this for about 5 years.
At 25, Eduard joined the Imperial Legion so that he would have a steady source of income. He is noted to have the following traits by the Legion: an extraordinary shot, very stealthy, and intelligent. Another thing that was once noted about him is that while he loves to be with groups, he usually performs better alone, or in a small group.

Spoiler
Name: Titus Al-Nazzir

Gender: Male

Age: 24

Race: Redguard

Faction: Legion

Rank: Tribune

Appearance: 6' 1", 190 lbs, youngish face. trimmed hair.

Equipment (Weapons, armor, etc) : Legion heavy armor, scimitar (inherited from his father) health and stamina absorb enchantments, Long Bow

Backstory/History: His maternal grandfather was the Imperial General Titus Philippi, a major force in the great war against the Aldmeri Dominion. He was among the imperial forces in Hammerfell until the secession. Titus' family moved from Hammerfell after they seceded from the empire, as a result he was born and raised in Cyrodiil. On both sides of his family he comes from a long line of Legionnaires. His father was a Legate and his Mother is/was a healer for the Legion army.

Titus was trained in swordmanship by his father since he was a child, becoming fairly adept in skill prior to his enlistment at the age of 17 and effectively mastering one-handed weapons by age 21. He was also trained in the restorative arts briefly by his mother; he lacked the patience for some of the more powerful spells but he's capable of healing himself, others, and producing wards. He was able to ascend to the Tribune rank through his family's wealth and education rather than his actual combat experience. Despite the appearance of nepotism, he has proven capable in combat by leading the defenses around the Imperial City.

Personality: Somewhat pretentious, thinks that his family's connections to the legion warrents him some special treatment. Extremely loyal to the legion and his fellow legionnaires; he is actually more loyal to the legion than he is to the Empire itself. He is critical of the white gold concordat and is an enemy of the Thalmor.

Motives: To become a general like his grandfather (an Imperial) before him.

Skills: One handed, Heavy armor, Archery, and some minor restoration skills.

Backstory leading up to war in Skyrim:

He was actually prepared to deploy to Skyrim during the civil war, but after the death of the Emperor Titus Mede he was stationed in the imperial city to provide defense for the New Emperor Amanund Morteierre. Al-Nazzir leads a squadron of specialized Legionnaires which he handpicked called the Cloaked Daggers. These legionnaires specialize in sneak, illusion, athletics and archery; reportedly consisting of former members of the Dark Brotherhood. One on one, he can take these legionnaires on with his Mastery of One-handed weapons and imposing size, but together they can turn on him easily. What’s worse, their services also don’t come cheap. While he organized this squadron he could only afford to bring eight soldiers along with him to Skyrim, less than 10% of everyone he hired. In order to not go completely bankrupt he’s hoping that his success in Skyrim will reimburse him for his efforts, and of course elevate him to Legate rank. The squadron hopes he will be reimbursed also, or else they might have to consider “job hunting”.

With the fall of the IX legion, he was among the Legionnaires sent to reinforce the presence of Legionnaires in Skyrim.

I plan on role playing for the cloaked dagger characters as well, but their allegiance to Al-Nazzir isn’t really strong. If someone decides to motivate them to change sides go ahead and take control of them.

Name: Lord Osgumund Kitaneth of Alinor

Gender: Male

Age: 231

Race: High Elf

Faction: Thalmor/Imperial Inquisition

Rank: Officially: Colonel-Inquisitor

Appearance: [img]http://images2.wikia...f/Ondolemar.png[/img] Yes, I know this is Ondolemar, but they look pretty much the same, because they are cousins. Although, Osgumund doesn't have a white beard because Ondolemar is about 30 years older than him. Also, Osgumund is a few inches taller than Ondolemar (Osgumund is 6"5')

Equipment (Weapons, armor, etc): Conjure Dremora, Conjure Flame Thrall/Atronach, all fire destruction spells. Also, as high as fast close wounds, and he occasionally uses Fury and Calm.

Personality: Nationalism for the Dominion runs like fire through his blood, and he will stand up for his beliefs and his country at any cost. He likes spending time discussing politics with fellow Altmer, but if he has to, he will talk about it with Imperials. Also, he is EXTREMELY religious. He is very respectful to his betters, and knows his place.

Loves to read and write and take long walks. Very adventurous and very intelligent.

Background/History: Born in 3E 403, he was the 8th and youngest child of Lord and Lady Kitaneth of Alinor (the city). He had a wonderful childhood full of opportunities for education, and studied the schools of conjuration and destruction. However, his parents were extremely busy with helping establish their new fledgling nation, and he was merely a lowly Thalmor Mage. He has always had a great relationship with his cousin, Ondolemar, until Ondolemar's death in 4E 202. Osgumund has vowed to avenge his closest relative's death and to kill as many Stormcloaks as posible.
During the Great Anguish, he enlisted in the ranks of the Thalmor, and fought the invading Daedric Hordes. He helped with the defense of the Crystal Tower, and almost lost his life for his country on that day, if it were not for the wisdom of his great teacher, Esgaron the Wise, who taught him almost everything he knows about Conjuration. His life was spared that day. He continued his learning at 7 of Alinor's (the country) best universities. After serving the Thalmor faithfully for 181 years, he was sent to Skyrim as a high-ranking member of the Imperial Inquisition. He works closely with his closest friend, Lieutenant-Colonel Justiciar Valandil Ramani. He has also been working with Ambassador Elenwen and High-Inquisitor Indoril on a very high profile and top secret project.
He was stationed in the quiet town of Morthal when the civil war ended, and when Morthal was captured, he and his group of about 8 people disappeared and moved into a cave outside of town. They are currently (as in, before part 2 starts) planning a daring escape into Falkreath Hold to wait for the legion of Imperial reinforcements of which Osgumund has been attached to.

His title explained: You may be thinking, "I thought he was the youngest of 8, how could he possibly have achieved the title of Lord?" Well my answer to you is this: when he moved up the ranks in the Thalmor Party to Inquisitor, he was granted the title of nobility, and was given a sizable plot of land outside of the city of Alinor, near his parents' estate. Due to the fact that he has been busy in Skyrim for the last 21 years, he has not found the time to build his estate yet, but in five years, when he is permitted by the High-Inquisitor to return home, he will begin building. Until then, the property is not legal for anyone to build any structure of any kind on the property without Lord Kitaneth's consent.

His Group: People under his command consist of 8 people in all, they are: 3 Thalmor Guardians (people who are sent with high ranking Thalmor officials, kind of like bodyguards) 3 Thalmor Archers (who do exactly what their name implies, but if ordered to, they can switch close range melee combat) 2 Thalmor Scouts (they scout for places to set up camp, nearby Stormcloak camps or patrols to be aware of, finding food for the group when it is on the road, etc.). Along with his group, his close friend and long time colleague, Lord Valandil Ramani, who has a group of 7 people under his command, including: 3 Thalmor Guardians, 3 Thalmor Scouts, and 2 Thalmor Archers. Lord Ramani's group is not technically subject to Lord Kitaneth's orders, but they are so casual that no one really cares.

Motives: He is a fierce nationalist and is sent to Skyrim to watch the Imperials and the Nords.

Witchking of Angmar
Spoiler
Name: Witch-king

Gender: Male

Age: Unknown (before recorded history)

Race: Nord (Nede)

Faction: Stormcloak Fort Amol Garrison

Rank: Lieutenant

Appearance: Long black hair, grey eyes, medium thick beard, scar on the right cheek, tall and heavy built.

Equipment: Steel plate gauntlets and boots and a thick timeworn black hooded robe and a stalhrim sword with frost enchantment.

Personality: Likes magical power. Shows little to no emotions and speaks concisely. Has a cold calculating mind and can be very patient. But can also be quick to anger if asked too much about his past. Hates all elves except orcs and will nearly always refuse to talk to them if he doesn't kill them on sight.

Background/History: Born in the northern parts of Skyrim in an era long forgotten. His family and friends got slaughtered by elves and thus turned to magic and dark arts to take vengeance on elven-kind. It was also during this time he forsaked his old name and started to call himself the Witch-king. With this magical power he killed all mer he came upon, trapping their souls and consuming them through dark magic to prolong his own life. During this time he managed to gather an army and later run a whole kingdom. After killing mer for a few hundreds of years, he grew tired of the world used his magic to put himself in a dreamless sleep. He awoke after the oblivion crisis and now tries to find a new path in life but is still haunted by memories of the dead and his hatred for elves. But the long sleep has also taken its toll as he has lost most of his power and is in a weakened state and now seek to regain his former might.

The recent battles with the Stormcloaks hasn't changed him much, he sees it just as another war. Though he does feel a bit uncomfortable with not being the king who leads everyone. He did make a raven he captured into his companion, whom he named Karsh. Using magic to train the raven so it became smarter and able to understand humans to a much larger degree and altering the ravens body so it became stronger and more agile. So far the process have proven succesful and are now doing delicate experiments trying to make so the raven can rely more detailed information, he does this by utilizing his knowledge of Mephala. Thus giving Karsh the ability to whisper to him. But so far the experiments haven't been fruitful.

Motives: As he hates elves, he especially hates the Dominion. He thinks the Empire is too incompetent and too slow to attack the Dominion. So he supports the Stormcloaks for their stance on fighting the Dominion now and to not let them recuperate. Also have a slight addiction to magical power and is not afraid of doing horrible things to reach this power.

Skills: Master in conjuration, good with destruction and illusion and the other schools. Also decent with heavy armor and one-handed weapons.

The Good Doctor
Spoiler

Name: Boldir Iron-Brow

Gender: Male

Age: 41

Race: Nord

Faction: Stormcloaks Neugrad Garrison

Rank: Captain

Appearance: Roughly 6'4, has shoulder length black hair and a thick mid-length beard. Has blue eyes and no war paint. Built well and very heavily muscled. He also has a scar along his left cheek, the result of an arrow barely missing him.

Equipment (Weapons, armor, etc) : Weilds a Carved-Nordic Battle Axe and carries a Carved-Nordic war axe and shield on his back for backup. Like all Necro-Nords, he wears full Carved Nordic armor with his own custom full-faced Quicksilver and Iron Helm. He wears a traditional Blue Stormcloak sash over his armor.

Personality: Boldir is a very reserved Nord. He rarely speaks to people who aren't his comrades. To most civilians, he appears to be somewhat scary. The truth is, that he has little in his life outside of his Stormcloak brethren, and so, the only times he is happy are the times he spends with them, even in battle. He's not really a source of jokes and merriment, but he can play the flute, and so he does occasionally play some tunes for his Stormcloak brothers and sisters, who, unlike most people, welcome him as a loved brother. Boldir isn't generally racist, and he looks at people based on their beliefs and affiliations rather than their race. He would trust a Stormcloak Elf over a neutral Nord any day. He has a secret fear of the undead, which he finds completly unnatural, but that doesn't stop him from fighting them if called to. He doesn't mind magic as long as it is only destruction, restoration, or alteration. He hates those who rely on undead or trickery to win battles. Since Falkreath, Boldir has become more of a leader than before. He is angry because of a love he couldn't experience, and is now somewhat depressed. He doesn't show it though. All he outwardly shows is an increasingly impressive ability to manage and lead, a quality he never knew he had until a recent series of promotions.

Background/History: Boldir's father, Ymir, was a Nord who served as a Captain in the Imperial Army. He never got to know his mother, Moira, as she disappeared when he was only two. He likes to believe that her reasons for leaving were justified. Anyway, he was born in Shor's Stone. His father raised him as a single parent until he was called to action to fight in the Great War. He never returned. Boldir's uncle, Filnjar raised him in his father's stead. Young Boldir knew very little of the events related to the Great War, and Filnjar did little to assist in this area. In fact, other than put a roof over his head, Filnjar did very little for Boldir (although watching Filnjar did teach Boldir how to smith). As years passed, Boldir's memory of his father grew faint. And eventually, all that he really rembered was his father's appearance, and his position in the Legion. There were no heirlooms to remember him by, and no known will was ever found. Filnjar legally owned most of their assets anyway.

When Boldir was 18, he joined the Legion. He wanted to believe it was so that he could be like his father, or so that he could help fight tyranny, but in truth, he was bored out of his mind in Shor's Stone. During training, he learned to fight with a sword and shield, but he rarely saw combat outside of occasionally being called upon from his garrison at Riften to fight bandits. He was only in the Legion for several months when a fellow Legionare spotted him openly praying to Talos and quickly stopped him. You see, Boldir had never actually learned of the terms of the White Gold Concordat, and his father had instilled in him the belief in Talos. When he learned of the Legion's cowardice, and the fact that his father had died for nothing, Boldir left the Legion and headed north, to Eastmarch, where he had heard the Legion weren't as popular. There he joined a political faction of like-minded individuals known as the Stormcloaks. Ulfric, their (recently freed) leader, was accepting of the open worship of Talos, and also felt that accepting the Concordat's terms was a cowardly and even blasphemous thing to do. Boldir never spoke to Ulfric directly, but he took in everything that he said in his speeches.

During his time among the Stormcloaks, he made quite a few friends. One, a Nord named Beirlan would end up becoming his best friend. Beirlan fought with a battle axe, "the choice weapon of Ysgramor" he'd call it. The two would remain close as kin. It was Beirlan who taught Boldir how to play the flute. Life in the Stormcloaks was good for Boldir. He had friends and he had a cause. Eventually, conflicts would emerge between the Stormcloaks and Imperials. He and Beirlan were both part of a company of 20. That company was sent to the Eastmarch/Whiterun border to ambush an Imperial caravan. It was found camped out around a broken carriage and so the mission was accomplished easily enough with only two soldiers wounded. The Captain had only just opened his mouth to say that it was too easy when a volley of arrows came from a nearby ledge, killing 11 Stormcloaks, including Beirlan as well as the Captain. Boldir was fortunate enough to be missed. A robed High Elf and six armored archers emerged. Before any of the Cloaks could move, 6 more were shot, including the wounded. Boldir and the remaining 2 charged the Elves, the leader just smiled and used a recall spell, vanishing on the spot. The remaining 6 barely had time to move before the Cloaks were on them. None were spared. This was Boldir's first encounter with the Thalmor. Boldir took up Beirlan's fighting-style, in memory of his fallen friend. He found it better suited to him anyway, and his skill with a battle axe progressed quickly.

When Ulfric was captured, and the executions in Helgen commenced, Boldir was there beside them. By this point, he hated the Legion almost as much as the Thalmor, and he was honored to die alongside Ulfric. When Alduin intervened, Boldir was the first to break loose, and quickly unbound Ulfric along with two other prisoners before a meteor knocked him to the ground. When he got up, he saw his kinsmen slam the door to a tower shut. He ran for the nearest Imperial corpse and took his sword. In the confusion, he managed to reach the main gate, which was locked, but that wasn't his issue. He was looking for Ulfric. As he searched desperately, the Dragon continued to wreck havoc on soldiers from both sides. It took the Dragon send a ball of flame straight for Ulfric for Boldir to spot him. Fortunately, a fellow Cloak pushed Ulfric out of the way and used dead Legionairs as shields from the flames. Ulfric blasted open the main gate and along with the few remaining Stormcloaks. A band of 4 Imperial archers pursued. Boldir quickly set upon them, killing two immediately befor a third just missed a killing shot by sending an arrow just past his cheek, brushing it and cutting him open (this would lead to him forging a full-face helmet in the future). Boldir killed the remaining two and quickly followed the remaining Stormcloaks.

During the war, Boldir would participate in the Battles of Whiterun, Markarth, and Solitude. It was during the battle of Whiterun that he got the name Iron-Brow; by headbutting an Imperial Commander so hard that he fell on his own sword, dying instantly. He would also travel to Korvanjuund, where he had the third-highest undead kill count, after Galmar, and someone Galmar called Unblooded. During several conflicts, he would be assigned to follow Captain Baldur Red-Snow, whom he recognized as the hero in Helgen. Serving under Baldur lead him to respect the man deeply, and he would gladly lay down his life not only for his cause, but for the Captain himself, who he sees as a good friend and counselor.

Since the recent events in Falkreath, Boldir has met a woman in Whiterun who he thought he could settle down with some day. When she turned him down, he took it hard. Boldir never showed it though. Since then, he's been promoted to Captain. Over the months, he's traveled all over Skyrim to gather the forces to garrison Orphan Rock in preparation for the upcoming Legion invasion. He's overseen the rebuilding of Helgen and Skybound Watch. Neugrad's repairs were also completed under his supervision.

Motives: Boldir cares little for his own personal gain, but the idea of people not being allowed to worship the greatest of their gods angers him. In fact, lots of the things the Empire have done angers him. The fact that he grew up without his father thanks to his service (which Boldir sees as useless) motivated Boldir to hate the Legion even more. He also serves out of strict loyalty to Baldur, whom he sees as not only an ideal leader, but a brother.

Skills: Two-Handed, Block, Blacksmithing, One-Handed, Heavy Armor, Light Armor.

Rank: High Admiral

Appearance: Brown hair, medium height, warrior build, ruddy skin, blue eyes; visual reference http://i.telegraph.co.uk/multimedia/archive/01291/rebecca_hall_1291486i.jpg

Equipment: Worn leathers with corundum buckles and trim (similar to Thieves Guild armor), ebony dagger strapped to her thigh, ebony war axe with frost enchantment; a whalebone magic resist amulet inscribed with the Atmoran whale totem. Personality: mostly cheerful when not far from port, rough-shod, opportunistic, skeptical of authority

Background/History:
Named for the famed Boat-Thane of Ysgramor and recently appointed High Admiral of Skyrim’s royal navy, Rebec still feels she is living down early failures that doomed her first ship and disappointed her family, who have been sailors and independent traders as long as anyone can remember.

She’s not the brooding type, however, and her new career as fighting sailor is a perfect evolution of her experience, except for the fact that she thinks rules are made to be broken. The removal of Thane Erikur from Skyrim’s smuggling network has also left her fingers tingling. Right now, however, she’s fully devoted to reducing the Imperial Navy blockade ships to toothpicks. “Nobody comes to my puddle and tells me I can’t cross.”

Shortly before her appointment to admiral, her ship was destroyed. High King Ulfric has promised her a new one, but for the moment she is grounded and has been given Erikur’s house in Solitude as her base. Rebec is rarely there, but a few of her crew can usually be found with their feet up on the fancy furniture. Her brother, Vilnur Salt-Beard, came out of his retirement in Sentinel and joined his ship to the merchant auxiliaries of the royal navy. Along with him come a handful of redguard volunteers who've come to Skyrim in order to get the chance to kill Thalmor. One of these is Rebec’s young niece Suri, known by Nord family as Snake-Blade because of her fondness for poisons.

Rebec’s husband Toki has been missing for nearly three years. He works as a traveling tinker in Hjaalmarch and the Reach. It’s a dangerous job and she is beginning to suspect he is dead. It is something she’ll have to cope with later, however, if she survives this war.

Motives: money, drink, independence, loyalty to her crew, hatred of the blockade

Skills: one-handed, speech (barter), some archery (crossbow)

Prologue

General Baldur Red-Snow
Solitude Palace
Noon

General Baldur Red-Snow sat bored at the right side of his liege lord and king, Ulfric Stormcloak in the Solitude Throne room. To the left of Ulfric, sat High-Queen Elisif, along with Galmer Stone-Fist at her left. A farmer was claiming that "bandits' where harassing him and his family, and that he demanded protection.

"My Lord, I can easily dispatch a handful of my Necro Nords or Draugr Dunmer. The bandits would likely stop attacking at the mere sight of them."

Ulfric turned his head towards his left-hand man, but before speaking the doors to the throne room barged open. A stormcloak soldier, while remaining composed, was sweating and obviously in fear.

"Sir-Ummmm Imperial messenger from the sixth Legion..."

"Baldur, the Imperials will be marching their Red Legions through our borders with the Thalmor very soon. We'll need every one of your Grim Ones over in Falkreath. I can't-"

Elisif spoke out and interrupted Ulfric.

"Love, surely you could spare five men? The number of Grim Ones has increased greatly since Baldur has become General. We can spare five men for patrol duty on a farm, and when the war begins, they'll be recalled. Does that work?"

Ulfric looked slightly annoyed that Elisif interrupted him, but he decided to listen to her for Baldur, since he grew to favor him.

"Hmm, fine. Baldur you can dispatch your men to the farm."

The farmer walked to Ulfric and Elisif and kissed their rings in gratitude, then he went to do the same to Baldur, but Baldur stood the man up and shook his hand.

"Thank you my King and Queen! And thank you General Red-Snow! Talos guide you."

Ulfric turned his head towards his left-hand man, but before speaking the doors to the throne room barged open. A stormcloak soldier, while remaining composed, was sweating and obviously in fear.

"Sir-Ummmm Imperial messenger from the sixth Legion..."

Ulfric leaned out of his chair at soldier's words.

"Send the dog in."

The soldier saluted, and left the room. He returned a few minutes later, with a figure that was hooded and cloaked in pitch black, except for the purple fang-less wolf sigil on the back of his cloak. The legionary's face was clouded in a unnatural darkness, that seemed like something from the void. He had a quiver of blackened arrows, and hung on his back was a massive Ebony greatbow. It seemed like he emitted a presence of dread where he walked.

Baldur as he stood waiting to hear the man's words, and was quite confused at the sight.

Is this Witchie? No, it's obviously not. Who is this?

Baldur pulled his shield off of his back and kept his hand on his axe just in case the strange figure tried something.

"What, are you in grieving or something? Ha!" said Baldur referring to the man's dark appearance.

Seemingly ignoring Baldur's words, the dark figure addressed the High-King, with a cold and emotionless tone,

"High King Stormcloak, General Marius Imperius of the sixth legion, implores you to surrender Skyrim back to the empire before this gets bloody and out of hand...".

"Sir, please. If I may? You do not need to speak to one so lowly as a grieving widow."

"By all means, Red-Snow. Proceed."

Baldur stepped forward in front of the throne, blocking the messenger's view of the royal couple.

Galmar chuckled at the sight.

"Hehehe, tell that dog what we think of his message, Baldur!"

Baldur smirked at the comment and addressed the dark figure before him.

"In the Palace of Skyrim's true sons and daughters,
Let me tell you what I think of your offer."

Baldur spat in the direction of the messenger's boots.

"If blood's what you want then blood there shall be,
We won't stop this war until Skyrim is free!"

The darkened figure seemingly starred at the assembled court, whom were now laughing at him. With a single swift move, he threw off his cloak and hood. The figure that awaited them was clad in a dark coat, which had dark leather guards under it. He wore dark leather boots and gloves. The right side of his face was heavily scarred, and his face was very pale. His right eye was covered in a dark eye-patch He had a cleanly shaven dark brown beard, along with dark brown hair. The figure's face looked...almost sad but at the same time filled with a darkly serious expression. In his dark tone he spoke,

"It's been a long time Baldur..."

Baldur was surprised at seeing his rival, but he did not let it show.

"Ah, I see it's the "Darkened Archer! or the "Grim Archer" as some call you. You kinda stole that name you know, from my Grim Ones. Why don't I get in on the fun and call myself the "Grim General"? Ha! So what do you want? I'm not accepting legion pups under my command."

Lorgar merely turned away From Baldur and addressed the High king.

"Tell me Ulfric Stormcloak? I could understand why you keep [censored]s around" He glanced at the High-Queen and then turned backed to Baldur "But why A Kin-slayer?"

"Kin slayer? You walk into our country with those cheese faced curs at your back, and you call me a kin slayer? I spoke to High Admiral Red-Eye, the stormcloak at your attendance. She told me how you broke your promise and allowed those [censored]s to torture her. And now we have word that the Imperials are helping them hunt down Talos worshipers in their own land! So you tell me? Who's the real Kin slayer here?"

Lorgar, now giving his full attention to Baldur spoke up,

"I took great personal risk trying to protect your High Admiral, Baldur, she would have suffered much worse if I hadn't." Lorgar smiled, revealing his fang-like teeth to the court "Why did you bring her up? Getting close eh Baldur? Maybe, you want to be closer for some...baser reasons..."

"What? Is that so strange in the Empire? For a man to long for a woman? Hahaha, that explains a lot, let me tell you! Now, I'd love to continue this pissing contest we have going here, but you're beginning to stink up Ulfric's Palace, dog. We have nothing left to say, Legate."

Lorgar laughed, a spine chilling and cold laugh, that made everyone in the room feel colder. Lorgar slowly approached Baldur, ignoring the stormcloak's drawing there swords and axes. As Lorgar walked across the rooms, Baldur could have sworn he saw the shadows dancing around Lorgar. Lorgar was now right infront of Baldur's face, before speaking to him,

"I'm no longer a Legate Baldur...I was court marshaled for cowardice and stripped of it. It's...Preafect now."

"Tell me Baldur, did your men really have to cut off my soldiers gentiles, did you have to behead them even if they were dead? Tell me, did you have to leave them after you and your soldiers had there fun? Did you get excited at the prospect of the crows picking there corpses clean? You couldn't even put them in a mass pit? You just left there bodies there.."

"First of all, nice demotion. Second of all, don't blame my men for the actions of one man, namely myself. We don't bury our vermin. And you can expect worse to the next group of soldiers you bring across our borders. And since you seem to like it in here so much, perhaps you'd rather stay? I think the palace could use a dog for a pet."

Baldur signaled his men to surround Lorgar and trap him off.

"It seems you didn't learn your lesson from the last time we spoke, Lorgar."

As Lorgar started to back away, he could notice the stormcloaks closing in to surround him. Lorgar sprung into action. he grabbed the first one, and broke his neck with his hands, before kicking the second one in the ribs and then snapping his spine by bring him down upon his knee's. He quickly grabbed his discarded hood. Before Baldur, who had drawn his axe, could reach him, Lorgar had already drawn his bow, and fired two arrows simultaneously at the two guard blocking the entrance to the throne room. He started to sprint, and run at un-human speeds out of the throne room. Baldur could hear one last thing from Lorgar.

"I'll be seeing you Baldur... but you wont be seeing me..."

Baldur could notice that the High-Queen was screaming, and that Ulfric was trying to calm her down.

Baldur stood as he watched the man dash for the door with a smirk on his face.

Yes, that's it. Run little wolf. I'll be looking to put you down. Like the rabid beast you are.

"Carry your brothers away and prepare their bodies for resting. And tell the Grim Ones to be ready to march. My lord, shall I leave for Falkreath?"

"Yes, immediately. It's time to show Cyrodiil why Skyrim's never been taken from us."

"Yes sir. I'll show them what the Grim Ones can do."

With that, Baldur grabbed his horse which was outfitted in Nordic Carved horse armor, and had him and his men make their way to the new command center in Falkreath hold. The war was finally about to begin. And the fate of Skyrim and her children would finally be decided.

Lord Kitaneth, hidden cave in Hjaalmarch, evening.

Osgumund was bored, there was no way to deny this. He had lost contact with the IX Cohort in Falkreath Hold and feared the worst.

" Food in this damnable hold is becoming scarcer and scarcer every day, and I constantly worry about how we will escape this wretched marsh." He writes in his journal. "I used to love Skyrim, I really did, but I have grown weary of this province, this landscape, and all the death. I've been here for 21 long years, and I simply wish to see my beloved Alinor again. Elenwen hasn't been seen or heard from for six months now, and I fear the Stormcloaks have finally found the IX Cohorts camp. Those poor souls; I so hope we are not next, for I wish to see my wife-" His journal entry was interrupted by his close friend and colleague, Lord Ranami, who he just called Valindil.

"Osgumund, your scout just came back, he says he needs to speak with the both of us immediately. Come quickly." Valindil said this hurriedly and whatever the news might be, it sounded grave. He followed Valindil to the mouth of the cave, where one of his scouts, Anarin, stood panting and gasping for breath, as if he had just run a long distance.

"What news is there? Tell me, I am desperate for news from the outside world!!" Osgumund shouted.

Anarin, through his rapid breaths, replied, "Courier... Thalmor courier... Dead... Road... Message...." He handed Osgumund the letter he had found on the body of the dead Elven courier. The letter read,

My dearest Lords Kitaneth and Ramani,

It is with high spirits that I write this letter, for news has just reached my ears that the 6th Legion is set to leave for Skyrim in a week, and will be arriving within two months time. I send you this letter to tell you that you have been assigned to the 6th Legion instead of the 6th Legion, as no one has heard from them in over a week, and they are presumed dead. You must make your way to Falkreath Hold immediately, and wait near Evergreen Grove. More orders are to follow, and the next courier will be sent to Evergreen Grove, he may be waiting for you there, so be warned.
-I

The letter was written in the variant of the language of the High-Elves that the Thalmor used. It was kind of a code of sorts, and 'I' was just short for 'High Inquisitor Indoril’.

"Well, it looks like we are finally leaving bloody Morthal and we are on to greener pastures, literally." Osgumund declared, obviously joyful at the fact that he would finally be rejoining a Legion.

"Say, Osgumund," Valindil said. "How's that report for Elenwen coming?"

"You mean the report on our little project? Ah yes, it is coming along quite nicely, but I'm afraid Elenwen is not ‘with us’ any longer, so I've been adjusting it as of late to make it suitable to present directly to High-Inquisitor Indoril."

"I've been thinking..." Valindil said cautiously. "I have been thinking that we should send someone to the Thalmor Embassy, you know, just to see if Elenwen is still there. Sure, we haven't heard from her in over 6 months, but we also haven't heard if she is dead or not. You remember the last time we visited there, the security was first rate: plenty of highly trained guards, thick, strong walls-"

"For the last time, NO! I don't want to risk any men on a mission like that!" Realizing that he had let his anger get the best of him, he apologized. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to yell. And you're right: we don't know of her whereabouts, but I don't want to risk any men on a daring mission like that at the moment. Maybe when we meet up with the Legion and once we retake Skyrim, but I just have my mind on other things at the moment."

Valindil was again, annoyed at his friend, but he had to obey Osgumund's orders, even if Osgumund was only just barely his superior.

"I shall retire for the night then, I will see you in the morning when we leave." Valindil said, as he left and went to bed.

"Good night my friend." Osgumund replied. He then descended into a state of deep thought.

Lorgar Grimaw, Pale Pass, Evening

“So, it was a complete waste of time them…that idiot-I mean his Majesty Moitre was foolish to think we could reason with Ulfric” Said General Marius Imperius.

Prefect Lorgar Grim-Maw was currently in the ancient Command Chamber of the Akavari fortress located in Pale Pass, originally built and used by the Tsenci forces during there ill-invasion of Tamriel thousands of years ago, it was currently being occupied the sixth legion of the imperial army. Lorgar was with his commanding officer, General Marius Imperius, and Marius’s third in command Legate Trixus, his second Legate Grasschus was absent from the meeting.

“Yes sir, as I said, they merely shrugged me off. They in-fact tried to capture me, we all know how that turned out.”

Marius chuckled,

“Aye, the legendary “ Darkened Archer” evaded capture in none other then the capital of Skyrim, Ulfric must be embarrassed.”

Legate Trixus, who kept his military composure, questioned Lorgar,

“Who was the stormcloak officer who ordered your arrest Specialist?”

“General Baldur Red-snow.”

Trixus, nodded his head, while General Marius addressed Lorgar once ago.

“You and him have a history?”

“Yes sir, he commanded the unit of stormcloak’s that decimated my Cohort.” Lorgar, still at attention, said in his trademark cold voice. “Sir I’m a tad bit fatigued from the operation, may I head back to my tent?”

Both Marius and Trixus saluted, with the General saying “Of course Specialist.”

Lorgar returned the salute, and headed out of the command chamber, and towards his tent.
