Civil War - Evolved

Post » Sat Sep 04, 2010 5:41 am

America after the war is a bitter, burned land, the fire that burned the world transformed the landscape. Trees were charred, black shadows on a barren horizon. The ground baked and irradiated was unable to bring through anything worthwhile, only a struggling brown scrub that carpeted the land. The water that lies in filthy stagnating pools around the land was filled with the agony of the day the world burned, the fish died, the crabs changed and the rain stopped.

In this broken world even the people had changed, emerging from holes in the ground to raise the new world to the ground. Spawned from the hatred of man and leaping from the nightmares of children the beast’s became the scourge of those both living and half dead. They were fierce and a horror to behold, muscles bulged from thick rock hard bone, faces twisted into pained grimaces and fearsome death masks.

The creatures were endowed with a strength beyond comparison and a twisted destructive nature to match it. People were dragged from their beds their screams left behind with any semblance of life. Where these unfortunate souls were taken is unknown to all but the monsters and their victims though what is speculated is enough to make the dead grateful for their downfall.

The creatures swarmed over the land from coast to coast, over mountains and through forest and lakes. The land was infested with the monsters, their numbers seemingly unlimited. Men of steel and valor endeavored to thin the ranks of the incomparable horror but to no avail.

Two forsaken provinces of the land housed the monsters, one to the east and one to the west. The monsters the same in name and being but opposites in power of the mind and body. The two separate breeds came from two different hells but were spawned with the same end in mind, the ultimate soldier strong and vicious with a hunger that would never be satisfied.

To the west where the suppressing efforts of the brotherhood had been in motion for longer and had gathered more power in the area of stopping the mutant hordes the once unimaginable numbers are thinning. The huge chalices of mutagenic slime run dry as the monsters die on the blood drenched surface. The monster hordes begin to grow so few in number that are not even strong enough to survive basic scouting raids if discovered by the men of steel and fire.

Hope exists though to the east, where the monsters here talk of a swarm of creatures much like themselves, twisted and broken by the fury of men but stronger, stronger even that the all but the most powerful of the western mutants. The western mutants first feared the creatures of the myth and prayed that the creatures do not desire their territory but then hope sprung eternal with the stories of weakness and psychosis in the minds of the western mutants.

The ambitious master of the western mutants greedily desired the huge reserves of mutagen possessed by the creatures to the east and decided to risk all to obtain possession of the valued material.

A war is coming, a war of behemoth proportions.

Ok guys a new RP co-hosted by myself and Francois, basically an all out war between the Eastern super mutants ( Lead by Me ) and the Western mutants (led by Francois)

So char sheets in Rules below

1. Andy and I will decide whether you are east or west coast but put down your preference
2. NO UBERING
3. No controlling other peoples characters, fights will be decided on random.org the stronger the mutant the more times your name will be put in the generator myself or Andy will pm the winner of the fight and you can post accordingly
4. being an east coast mutnat is n excuse for bad grammer or splleing, <<<<5. have fun

Char sheets

Name before mutation: helps us know who's who

Age: self evident

Preference of mutant type: east (DC etc) or west (locations of FO1 and 2)

Preference of rank: both of these will ultimately be chosen by Andy and myself

Weaponry used: Doesn't necessarily need to be something mutants traditionally use

Defining features: Tattoos, scars whatever sets you apart from the horde

Quick bio: what you remember before mutation and your actions after it

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Name before mutation: Dorian Tyler

Age: 197

Mutant Rank: Super Mutant Emperor ( The stage after behemoth, about a foot taller than an overlord and more muscular and broader with a sort of crown of ridges of bone protruding from the skull, large fangs jutting over the lips from the lower jaw up to the nose and able to telepathically communicate with the rest of the horde. About as intelligent as an average human advlt)

Mutant type: East Coast mutant

Weaponry used: a super sledge and a precision http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/AER12_Laser_Rifle
with a line of green in contrast to his yellow skin. chain of human skulls around his neck as a remnant from his days as a behemoth

Defining features: Bone crown and luminous blue eyes the glow in the daylight and the dark, a discolored strip of skin that vertically splits his head in half with a line of green in contrast to his yellow skin. A Chain of human skulls around his neck as a remnant from his days as a behemoth and thee scars across his body as testament to a fight with a deathclaw.

Bio:

all Dorian remembers from his old life is entering Vault 87 with his family, after that the first memory is him sitting strapped to a table in unbearable pain. the next day he remembers being surrounded by scientists ticking check boards and talking about a great success. Dorian was kept in constant surveillance as he grew doctors and scientists poking him with needles and writing test results, that and the crippling pain, eventually Dorian broke out and started the Vault 87 revolt killing all of the scientists and guards with the rest of his younger brothers. His mind rapidly degraded as he grew in physical power until he snapped upon the bone shattering growth into a behemoth, for a while his memories are fully animalistic and brutish as he lived as a behemoth animal, he started to regain his sanity as he shrank, the smaller he got the more he regained and learned until by the time his crown had grown and his teeth had come in he possessed not only the mental stabilty to think on par with your average wastelander but also to contact his brothers and sisters telepathically.

I may edit this sheet sooner or later, as I'm half passed-out on the keyboard after waiting a nice amount of time for this to go up. :P

Name before mutation: Benjamin Hernin

Age: 194

Preference of mutant type: West

Preference of rank: Super Mutant Mastermind (Much smarter than any normal Super Mutants on the field, just like the East Coast Leader he can also communicate with all the Super Mutants born from the same type of FEV in the West Coast. He is stronger than an Overlord and is quite tough, but is still weak when you define him as a Leader amongst his fellow Meta-Humans. He stands about half a foot taller than an Overlord and when he fights; he fights hard.)

Weaponry used: Pulse Super-Sledge (Stuns enemies for short amounts of time.)
Pulse Rifle (Tears through flesh easily and if it doesn't outright kill it will possibly make them spasm.)

Defining features: Benjamin's skin isn't the same yellow tone that others have theirs in; instead his skin almost glows with an ominous green nimbus. His eyes are a deep brown colour with a sign of intelligence gleaming through them, showing that not all Mutants are mindless beasts. A single deep scar runs through his right shoulder blade, a reminder of a battle he held with a great warrior many years ago.

Quick bio:

Benjamin remembers very little of his old life, instead looking towards his new life with vigour and hope. He wishes to see what he can do to get others to his state of mind and awareness, to live a new life as equals and everyone the same. The main thing he remembers from his old life is being dipped into the tank of FEV and coming out as a Mutant, he was larger and smarter than the others; showing promise in his tests. After years of being tested on with his fellow brothers he plotted against the humans and took over the facility, dipping them all into the FEV and changing them into his minions.

As he grew with age, wisdom and strength he found that the more humans he dipped into the FEV that he was originally from; the smarter he became and the better the link between he and them was. Making a decision he took all the FEV from his original tank and stored it, adding a drop to each of the FEV vats that he dipped the humans into; as this seemed to have the same effect. Growing with numbers and wisdom he moved through and expanded, eventually after the terrible things that happened on the West Coast most of the Mutants flocked to him. Some he didn't have a connection with, but he accepted them.

With time he taught the other Mutants that were was another side to their nature, that they could use their now advanced minds as well as their bodies. Now he continues with his brothers and sisters in expanding and trying to find more FEV to change more people into advanced beings.

I know I am usually in the ES fanfiction section (and that is where I will stay), but you guys need a map for this. No war-RP can be done without a map, and I doubt this is a straight war-one (the classic style). Anyhow, I suggest you make some kind of map for this, and limit the field to a small area to give everyone more focus. Just a suggestion.

EDIT:

Also, add some background info to the two sides. I mean, come on. In a war RP you need depth and a background for both sides (which, you have neither). I say you do a background and depth summary for each one. Just a suggestion. If these things aren't added, this will not be successful.

1. thanks for the criticism its much appreciated

2. the map is pretty much all of DC as specified in the game, I tend to make a hooking post and then develop the OP after to give a better idea of the whole story, this is just a theme

3. The back story of the armies? have you ever played fallout? how can i stray from canon with such key aspect of the games, I can explain how the hierarchy came to be and how the armies react as entities but they already have a huge back story that everyone on this forum knows

4. I have run a successful war RP in the past, Two actually that both got locked due to post count so I do know what i am doing.

5. Thank you from descending from your ES throne on your brilliant high horse to meat out advice on an RP without joining or even making that slightest pretense you are interested in joining we are grateful for your godly RPing wisdom

Criticism is important; sure thing.

Well, you should specify where this takes place. All I got was "east and west coast".

3. The back story of the armies? have you ever played fallout? how can i stray from canon with such key aspect of the games, I can explain how the hierarchy came to be and how the armies react as entities but they already have a huge back story that everyone on this forum knows

I have played Fallout. You don't have to explain fallout lore, but you do have to explain the lore for your RP.

4. I have run a successful war RP in the past, Two actually that both got locked due to post count so I do know what i am doing.

Well have a cookie buddie, have a cookie. This is the fallout section, and this isn't as much of a "war RP" as you think it is. :cookie: I am offering you advice, take it or leave it.

5. Thank you from descending from your ES throne on your brilliant high horse to meat out advice on an RP without joining or even making that slightest pretense you are interested in joining we are grateful for your godly RPing wisdom

Someone has to give you advice and will give it one way or another. I may join if you can detail it out enough and make it good enough. At the moment no one has posted in the thread besides you, I, and Francois (hey Francois, How are ye).

Also, it is "meet", not "meat". Don't be smart with me. Being a smart-A won't get you anywhere.

It's fine. Life is life. People have said worse things to me. I've done it too...

Are you guys planning on doing this as a versus RP? So many people against so many people? Shooting, hitting, etc...?

My sincerest apologies Kikai! I was planning on doing so but I went against it because I was hoping you'd just 'stumble' across it by yourself.

I'll join is it just me?'s side to balance it out.

Name before mutation: Lydia Burke

Age: 187

Preference of mutant type: East

Preference of rank: Super Mutant Empress; Less powerful than the emperor but still a mighty foe. Above average intelligence, about as strong as an overlord. In Super Mutant society, Empresses are chosen for their brains, not their beauty. Because let's face it, all Super Mutants look the same.

Weaponry used: Plasma grenades, self explanatory, limited supply.
Broken fire hydrant, Melee weapon.
Car Door, shield.

Defining features: The Empress has a gold coloured skin that seems to reflect light. Being spoiled rotten many of her scars have healed themselves leaving her skin surprisingly clear. Her outfit consists of a tattered Vault 87 suit and a makeshift crown made of human skulls, she wears a http://www.girlsnighttogo.com/v/vspfiles/assets/images/sash2.jpg that may or may not be made of human skin. Her eyes and teeth are both orange. Her forehead is bigger than most other mutants.

Quick bio:
Lydia stopped referring to herself as Lydia when she became Empress. You may call her Empress.
When Empress was a child she was taken to Vault 87 with her parents. The details are sketchy, but she remembers waking up to seeing her parents being dragged out of the family apartment and never seen again. Apparently this was happening to every child in Vault 87, and soon the children were taken too. This is where Empress gets angry because she can't remember what happened next. She was a human once, a PUNY STUPI-
Anyway, Empress remembered emerging from her cell and the scientists got scared, saying things like "This happened before", or "I knew one would escape again!" over and over. Empress wanted to find the other mutant so they could get revenge on the scientists, and eventually she did. Empress and Emperor became good friends and soon Empress became Empress! But she was sad because she couldn't have mutant babies with her husband. Instead, she decided to go to war with her Emperor against the evil West mutants who wanted their precious Green Stuff.

(I bet you're sick of the word "Empress" by now huh? :D )

okie doke that's a good sheet, accepted. we can't have to many all powerfull super mutants running around just enough for a plot device I want to exploit. Also the Emperor while being intelligent is completely bestial in nature so the emperess probably shouldnt expect any tender moments.

I wouldn't have the time to participate, so my contribution are a few connon fodder canidates that may or may not survive. no datasheets, no clue who they were before, and no clue what they might be capable of, except aggravating eachother, and possibly the enemy

Use and abuse to hearts content.

the three stooges; Mork, Ork 'n Gork

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The three mutants stood their watch on the front line of the defensive perimeter, overlooking the no mans land out to the Washington Monument where the tin soldiers stood with there fancy flashlight weapons. Looking behind them, the trenches stretched all the way back to the Capitol, which was in mutant hands these days. It had taken weeks of digging but finally they were all dug, and no stupid humans were gonna kick them off the mall anymore. rifle fire erupted out on the left.

"Who dat?" Asked the first mutant named Mork.

"Dunno. Not me." was the simpleton answer from the dimmest of the three, Ork.

"Duh, stoopid, yous here wit me." Mork prided himself being the brains of the trio.

"Oh yeah. wot yous tink, Gork?" Always checking the odds of the three.

The third who wasn't answering to Gork at the moment was contesting a rather stubborn booger that it tried to extract from a nostril, in one piece.

"Ooh, gw'on der Gork, das a longer one dan before." Ork was impezzed.

"Hey das a walking dead guy doin da shooting. Hey, he's good." So was Mork, but at other things than legths of snot.

"Gorks booger is good. Lookit Mork." Showing the feat..

"Wanna chuck some grenades at 'im?" Mork was trying to ignore the others eating habits

"Naah, keepin dem fer da "Tinny's". Day kin be tough ta bust open udder wize. Dat looks like bacon." Ork almost drooled as the encrusted rope of mucus that hung from the mutants finger disappeared in its mouth. It looked sooo..,

"Mmmh, tasty. So we gonna do nutin den?" finally finished with its snack.

"Yous da one eatin' an not doin nutin'!" Mork retorted

"But it was a biggun, Mork." ork said in defence of the other mutants snot production

"An' tasty." always a valid argument among mutants.

"Now we gonna shoot 'im den? All done eatin?" Impatientence to kill something was winning from social etiquette.

"Walkin' dead guy gone now." Gork mentioned, still peckish

"Crap." And returned to napping on duty

"Ooh, dere's another one pokin' out. gits it Gork."
