I remember once either Pete or Todd (maybe both) discussing getting a game out the door. Them saying that they never seem to run out of ideas that blossom and they want to add it to the games. There is always one more thing someone thinks of that is great and seems so perfect for the game but that in the end...they have deadlines and if they didn't find a stopping point they would never run out of ideas and never get the game out the door. So when they can't manage to get an idea done in time to include in the game rather than toss it out, they will try to use it for a DLC. They always have more they want to add. And we always have more we want them to add.

I'm not much of a lover of the werewolf theme but I do feel for those who were holding out hope for it. Maybe Bethesda was holding out hope for it too...but in the end, it doesn't sound like it made it. I don't know that site but I do believe it may be right as Bethesda did visit there recently.

I'll hope for a DLC with it included for those of you who enjoy that line of play.

If they are going to do a Werewolf DLC I think we can expect it to be a lot different than Bloodmoon.

PS: Is anyone going to send Pete a tweet about this?

I would hope so. I'd hate to pay for the same thing twice.

Oh and to clear "things" up again, .be means it's a Belgium address not Dutch which would end with .nl (as in Netherlands)!

Yeah..stop blaming the dutch, we are awesome.

I'm pretty dissapointed about this *confirmation* but still, better they work on them, make them awesome ( new animation system would word realllllyyyy well for this I think) then put some crappy dog like transformation in the game ..right?

There is in the OPs post, it's just written in Dutch. (It's a BELGIAN website though)

I'll translate roughly:
"At the moment we didn't add any werewolves to the game, but it's surely something to think about. (Refering to Werewolves as/in DLC)"

Pete Hines did answer:

"I'm a firm supporter of Skyrim, but why would you drop such huge hints about werewolves being in when they are not?...."RuggedMB.

"I haven't said a single word."-Pete.

Still a bit vague. I for one will roll out my two vampire characters and work on them until werewolves are released for DLC. It does svck, don't get me wrong. At least they can work on it more and give werewolves more thought. It's a good thing since they won't need to work on those dumb dragons.

Pete Hines being vague? No way!

Also, by calling a acclaimed feature (Dragons) dumb is to equal yourself to those people that dislike your acclaimed feature (Werewolves) and call it "dumb".

There was never any evidence to support that werewolves were in game, sure there was evidence that they were trying to implement them, but I can't believe how much the community convinced itself that it was going to be in, I'm not surprised in the slightest.

I for one am happy there are no werewolves. That has been played out too many times in other games and movies. I'm looking forward to the new new. Not my grandpa's horror fiction.

Too bad the same won't happen with vampires. That is played out as well.

If I was Bethesda and wanted to make more money I would just keep something awesome like werewolves and save it for DLC. They knew what they were doing from the beginning I bet.

Hmm, even if they're not in it doesn't bother me much. Probably gonna be in DLC and be a newer version of Blood Moon.

Yeah. Pretty much. But hey, it's a confirmation. So if you want to go discuss dragons or something else Skyrim in another thread, please feel free.

Dragons are also played out too much nowadays too. Especially with Lair and Dragon Age. But yet Bethesda added them in game. Good thing vampires are in, otherwise I wouldn't of even bought Skyrim.
