Do you guys think there are other survivors in countries besides the United States? Perhaps somewhere in Europe?

Why not, even with all the Nukes that we had at the peak, there is no way the planet could have been carpet bombed with Nukes. Some areas have to survive. For one, the rural areas would be relatively untouched, unless they were near a missile or army base.

Of course there would be people around the world that survived. Some how people got it in their heads that the only reason people survived in the United States was because of the vaults. Vaults only played a tinny if not out right insignificant part in the number of people that survived in the United States.

People survived simply by being in areas where the nukes didn't hit that bad, surviving in shelters, basemants, subways, caves, and so on.
