haha, I know, I accepted peace because both sides had pretty heavy loses.. I had full intentions for it to be temporary and to serve out some payback.
How can I tell what kind of treaty it was? I never saw anything about days in effect when i was given the option... Also, declaring war is not an option I can select.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was a bug, I haven't seen a peace treaty that lasts past 10 turns. If you want me to give you the exact location of where the 'on-going deals menu' is let me know, I don't remember the exact location at this point and would have to look. I do know it is in one of the categories in the top right.
Side notes:
Does anyone know if the military advisor is 'all-knowing' or not? For example when he says something like "The Arabs barely have an army at all!" is he talking about the Arabs units from what I have seen, or does he have access to information I don't?
Just a word of advice to people too, if you are friends with a city state you can use their roads as trade-routes, however when you are no longer friends with them you stop using their roads for trading so your supply lines between cities breaks. I had this happen to me and half of my empire lost its trade route to my capitol crippling my economy for a number of turns. Also I would recommend people to go through and look at the filters the 2D map lets you use, it is very useful for seeing where your trade routes are or seeing where your army is without missing units.
And finally does anyone know how diplomacy works? It seems to me if you go back on your word or declare war on a friend other civilizations get made at you, has anyone else noticed this? For example if an empire calls you out on having units near their borders and you say you're just passing through and then in a few turns declare war on them they say something along the lines of "Everyone will know of your treachery", is this the reason why the other nations start referring to you as 'the blood thirsty one'? It also seems like if you declare war on someone who likes you other nations get mad at you while if you declare war on someone who dislikes you other nations don't seem to have a problem. This theory would also make sense for the 2 options in the comments, one being a nice one and one acting negatively.
