Clan vs Clan?

Post » Fri Feb 18, 2011 10:08 pm

Will Brink support clan battles? if so how many vs how many max?

Im part of a clan on MAG and we are looking to move to socom and one other game. I'v suggested Brink but my clan mates want to know if it supports clan vs clan as we dont want to battle randoms all the time.

Thanks for any help.

Cheers

This has already been discussed, in the future use the search bar pwease.

In other news no, theres no official CvC, there is, however, gamebattles.....

@ OP there is no clan battle system unfortunately so might need to look elsewhere for clan matches if u want them. gb is an option but to this date gb has not shown interest in a brink ladder so dont hold ur breath on 1 and it being active on ps3 like all other ps3 games on gb not named socom or cod

What's with the sudden influx of clan threads? Just a week ago, I hadn't seen any clan talk.

@Rock Salt Yes: The fireteam system only works within a server. You'd have to get the two clans in one server, and by then, you defeat the purpose.

Won't you be able to just use the fireteam system to do that? I'll admit I don't know too much about clans because I tend to avoid those communities, but I thought that's how they were going about clan kerfuffles.

The OP wanted to be able to use a clan matchmaking system so that his clan would only be matched against other clans, not against randoms. Also so you can schedule matches in advance to make sure everyone can make it.
Fireteams are for grouping up with your friends, doesnt control who you are fighting.

A fire-team is just your party.

EDIT: Wraithed :ninja:

I'd love a clan system just as much as the next guy, but I doubt there'll be one... I'm guessing there is some sort of private-match system though.

if they dont have Clan Battles then they need to add 1 because that would bring alot more interest in the game.

I agree we have nearly 80 members, and we play against 2or 3 clans with similar numbers, thats alot of copies from just one small friend network??

The 'Game Battles' mentioned, where can i get more info??

This has been asked 125151235 times, there will not be any supported clan system made by the game provider.

I don't get it, is this a console thread or something? Of course you have to organize clan battles outside of the game... isn't that how it is for every FPS? lol

no
if u had a ps3 u would know games like killzone and socom have an IN GAME SYSTEM where u can challenge clans directly from the game, have clan leaderboards and all that stuff external sites do but in game eliminating the hassle of having to go out and find a clan willing to play, setup a time, get ppl on and all that

pretty sure everytime u hear someone ask if there is an ingame clan system its a ps3 player cuz our exclusive games tend to have good clan support

I not big on competitive clans. Clans with friends for fun is my "Cup of Juice"! Gamebattles, MLG(Major league Gaming), etc are only a few out there with clan support. BRINK was definitely made for clan support. Oh well!

I do not know if Brink supports clans, yet I hope they do not. A lot of clan members that do these clan v clan fights really seem kind of elitist, and I'd rather keep that from happening.

To be honest. Those elistist are always surrounded by clan members with or without mics. A good team, makes a great clan. I've seen them! :intergalactic:

Well it seems to me like a good clan can be great at team-work, and that is great for Brink. But yet I personally haven't had the best experience of them.

why?
its not affecting u either way cuz comms are limited to ppl in ur party so u wont hear anyone not in ur party?
either way ur gonna get ppl with elitest attitudes , it happens on every game

from my experiences with gaming over the years its the hardcoe/competitive ppl that keep games alive as casuals tend to pick up a game and move on once a new shiny game is out

competitive clans who like doing clan battles simply like to play against other teams who know wtf they are doin and not against unorganised randoms all the time as the game usually ends up being too easy and gets boring over time

i hope it honestly does, or devs plan to implement 1
gamebattles is gonna be inactive for this game
new IPs dont fare well so having a system in the game would probably be the easiest way

dont understand how in this day and age devs still dont implement proper clan support in their games

From a PC perspective, we've always been fine from arranging a clan war. Never had automated systems etc, but that's just our environment.

Also, it's interesting peoples views on "Clans". I'm a member of a clan, we play fairly actively in about 4-5 main games, and our average age is about 104 :D Not all clans are "elitest, pre-pubascent kids" :)
