MODERN MUSIC IN FALLOUT 4! I don't think so.

It is a tradition in the Fallout franchise that they put classic music. Modern music ?!?! Your joking right?

Most importantly I hope there will be good and proper ambient music, the radios are unimportant. The "epic Hollywood" ambient music in Fallout 3 was atrocious.

I play Fallout 3 & FNV with the in-game radio off unless its needed for a quest, hope they still have ambience soundtracks and that the Fallout 1 & 2 music makes it into Fallout 4 as well. For some reason I'm getting radio stutter in Fallout 3 when listening to the music on GNR but not the Enclave radio, never had that issue before.

Well they could use a song or two, but to have all classic music would fit with fallout, i still see some fitting songs for fallout 4 which is modern music.

I put that on when doing the final mission in Fallout 3 before activating Project Purity. Couldn't mod, so I pulled it up on my iPod.

Henry Hall might be a good choice.

Jiving to Mother Monster while shooting deathclaws would be thematically appropriate.

I always favoured the atmospheric score/sounds & not 3dog howling down the radio at me.

I do not like 50/60s music. I listen to heavy metal and classical/orchestral music but they do not fit the setting at all

Despite the fact I do not like it if there is music anything other than 50s/60s I will be disappointed and will mod them out of the game or just download a mod from someone else that does the same

It'll be 50s or earlier era music considering that that's when the bombs dropped. To include newer music pisses on the lore of the entire series.

I know no one likes the modern music.
But if they did, this song would fit in F4, because androids.

I can't hear https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3TSz30Nj2n4 without thinking about Fallout, but I don't think it would be appropriate in game music.

We can probably all agree that Miley Cyrus should not be in FO4 soundtrack, but I think more modern music that sounds like it could be from 40s and 50s could work well. But if it's only 40s and 50s music on the radio, that would be absolutely fine be me.

About the ambient music, I think it's important that it's subtle, just enough to set the mood. Inon Zur (FO3 composer) got that exactly right IMO. I would not want some epic orchestral theme blaring at me if I'm just climbing a hill, that could ruin the atmosphere.

Classic of course, but a lot more of it, including old orchestral recordings, folk songs, and even classic radio shows. I also wouldn't be against the base atmospheric bgm being more varied either, as FO3's bgm was outstanding, it was also very repetitive.

Yea i think it would be good if they added more songs in fallout, even older songs to fit the style of the music in the game.

I would like to have more of the dramas. Maybe even some old time commercials from Nuka Cola, Vault Tek, Corvegga, etc.
