Pistol
Bugfix v1.0

12/28/10

Classic Pack weathered Pistol Bugfix is a mod that makes this unique pistol properly moddable with full use of any vanilla 10mm pistol weapons mods. The weathered 10mm pistol will now have new models with every mod added to it.

Instillation:

Extract, ClassicPackFix.esp and, meshes folder to your Fallout New Vagus\Data folder and, activate the mod via the launcher or, (highly recommended) FOMM.

Uninstallation:

Remove the ClassicPackFix.esp and, meshes\nvdlcpre1 folder.

known Issues:

This fix only works on a start of a new game, it is possible to council in my new version of the Weathered 10mm pistol but, I haven't and, won't take the time to find the cheat ID for you.

I dont see why people call this a "fix" when it was not intended in the first place. A proper "fix" would be to eliminate modifiability of the gun, not add it. I don't mind the mod, but it kinda annoys me with the improper labeling.

I've not seen it stated that the Weathered 10mm Pistol was not intended to be modded.

In fact, the very fact that you -can- mod it leads me to believe that there is a very good chance that it -was- originally intended to be moddable. Of course, it could just be that some temp worker forgot to change a couple of variables while he was creating the new weapon and all... but I like to believe that my favorite game designers have a little more common sense than that. I mean... I know they don't... but I still like to think they do. It's just something that happens when you spend hours upon hours upon hours doing the same thing over and over again. Sometimes something gets overlooked.

That being said... I don't feel that this should be one of those things...

Even if it was un-intended... there was a bug. The 10mm pistol can be modded... and then it goes all wonky. This makes it work.

Bug. Fixed.

So chyeah. ^_^

-Cheers!

The "proper fix" is available already for those who feel it shouldn't be modable, simple fix = just don't modify it

Being that the Weathered 10mm Pistol was originally designed to be moddable with all of its mod slots directed to Pre-oreder models, which somehow didn't get included in the pack-up, leads me to believe it was the Dev's intent to have it be moddable and, not a standard unique weapon.

Also, when they fixed the missing mesh error by hardcode and, not simply taking away the option to mod it also shows what I believe to be the original intent.

In my mind this is a "FIX", You don't have to agree with me or, even use this mod. I did this because, it bugged me that the moddable weapon didn't switch models so, I "FIXED" it for myself. I know some others would have most likely ben annoyed by the same issue as me, Therefore I released it.

I don't see what the big debate is on this, I consider it a "FIX", you don't, "so be it". We're not playing the same game, I'm sure you use mods that I don't like, want or, even care about. I'm guessing many of the mod in use that people feel "FIX" things I might disagree with.

Woohoo, Cev!

Well said... and I couldn't agree with you more. I think it's important that we all understand that, sometimes... we're going to disagree. There are plenty of 'bug fixes' out there that depart from the original view of the game far more radically than this... if this even does depart, as some would have us believe. If we all went around arguing about what is and is not a bug.... and what does, and does not, warrant being fixed... then next to nothing would ever get accomplished.

I have the Classic Pack... I use the Weathered 10mm Pistol.

My name is Alexander Weatherbottom III, and I support this message.
