[REL] Clavis' Plant Pack #1

Post » Wed Jul 28, 2010 11:59 pm

I fist started putting this together for my own benefit years ago... Then put a fair chunk of it to the effort for Quatloos' tomb. Eventually I offered more for Shannon's Victorian city.... All this time it has been growing. This is the current version. Textures have changed over time and I'm fairly happy with it. It covers a LOT of ground. I'll warn you - it expands out to about 95 MB.

Basically, this is a collection of plants based on both Bethesda's meshes and community made meshes. Textures are based on photos of real plants, leaves, and flowers. It covers flowers, bushes, grasses, water plants, vines, cacti, and a few mushrooms. I know some of the textures are rather bright. Blame the photos that the textures are based on, not me. I did NOT tweak the colors at all except to darken them or dull the colors a bit here and there.

Special thanks to Bryss Phoenix & Mr Swiveller for testing these out to some degree. Not everything was checked so if you see a problem, let me know. Special thanks to APY at PES for forging ahead when the upload kept failing!

Hope you like it! :wavey:

The file is UP! Finally...

Just tried the link I have for CI's forums but got a "was not found on the server" message. Not sure I have the right link anymore...

Sent you a current link to the thread, I'd totally forgotten about the forum change perhaps that's why the thread's been abandoned for so long.

Horay! Clavis' Plant Pack #1 is up on PES! Are you going to work on #2, too?
May I use these in Pelagiad Expanded? Your name will go in the readme.

I guess you couldnt do any kind of straight replacer instead of esp's? Otherwise great stuff.

It's not a replacer it's a resource. Sometimes letting someone else run wild with the meshes is as good an idea as putting them everywhere by hand.

Yea, but thats the point, it would be all the better if even some of it was used as a replacer instead of just a resource.

Yes. Plant Pack #2 is in the planning stage. It will have to wait until I finish up Arched ver2 Set http://s5.photobucket.com/albums/y196/Clavis/Temp/Oom-3_Beta/ for DarkDiva.

No, the point is - you're free to do that for yourself and anyone you'd like to share it with  Everyone is free to play with these meshes, you want a replacer? Go ahead and make one.

@Clavis - yay yay yay! :woot: :twirl: :woot:

Wow. That looks like it'd fit in well for a Hammerfell mod..

I have to admit I had to pick through an absolute plethora! of meshes/textures to find exactly what I was looking for. I am a strong supporter of this resource, there should be something for everyone :)

I'll post some of what I've used this for soon, the effects can be quite acceptable ;)

edit: Here's what I did with this resource...

Obviously it's not all your's Clavis :)
