Clayton's Story

Post » Sat Jan 16, 2010 6:37 pm

I realize this will probably be locked, and I may get a few remarks to the creation of this thread. This is not about arguing about religion though, this is about him being fearless in the face of death, I look up to this type of thing, I hope you all can too.

I kinda disagree on somethings religion aside, distractions e.g sport, girlfriends/boyfriends, etc. Because at the end of the day you only live once, and if those things make people happy then they should be able to do them as much as they want, if someone wants to go to a skatepark and skate all the time thats fine, whats the point of life if there is no fun. Sad story though.

<_< more religious [censored] that is meant to "reach out" to people. Anyway seeing as you said that we shouldn't talk bout religion then yes he's fearless in the face of death and...wait...this is another Distraction that the video was telling us to avoid!! It's a conspiracy I tell you!! :ninja:

I didn't know sports and girlfriends/boyfriends were tools of evil. I gotta agree with TIMN, vive ut vivas, live life to the fullest. Do what brings you the most joy. Life is meant to be fun, if ya ain't having fun your doin it wrong.

The sad part is some kids death has to be paraded around in a video to try and inject people with [insert religion here]'s ridiculous ideas. Sports, girlfriends, ect. are Satan? Come on...

Do agree with some parts though, like be thankful for what and who you do have in life.

Poor kid...

The thing that bothers me is how that advice contradicts, basically he tells me to aprecciate life, then tells me the things I appreciate are evil distractions. If I was dying I would tell others to value the things and enjoy every second, not say that having a girlfriend or playing footbal is wrong, there is nothing wrong with any of those things listed, I want a good reason why sports or having a BF/GF is considered evil/wrong/bad, etc.

Yawn. Trite. Banol. Terribly lacking in subtlety. And in absolutely no way as deep or emotionally moving as it likes to think it is. This is just more exploitative than anything.

I agree with Clayton, I don't think he was saying all that was Satan, I think he was saying whenever you decide to give your attention to whatever religion's diety you choose to worship, don't let distractions get in the way. Whether that be 10% of the time or 100% of the time like him.

Agreed. I guess the X-Box and HD TV he has in the background of the first scene have passed the "Evil Distractions" test.

Sorry, religious topic. The responses we've seen are gibbeted as an illustration of why religion is a restricted topic on these forums.
