8. 8.A big dialog box will open with about a thousand different options. Panic for one second and then calm down. You only care about one single checkbox: "Conflict status inherited by parent". All other main checkboxes need to be deselected. Here is an image. Hit ok.

In that image there are some options ticked , do I need to untick them, or do I need to leave them like they are in the image?

No, the ticked options won't have any effect since their 'main category' isn't ticked (checkboxes above the list of ticked checkboxes - 'by conflict status overall' and the other one).

thank you.
Now other questions: it is said:
Do clean the unofficial patches (UOP, USIP, UMP).
Do clean WarCry & Bob’s Armory.
Do clean the official DLC.

IS that serious? I can understand cleaning dlc, but do unofficial patches need cleaning?

Yup.

I supposed Corepc did it itself when fixing it? XD

my knights.esp cleaned is 2002 kb, while the uncleaned one is 2161 kb.
My cleaned dlc horse armor is identical in size to the uncleaned one.
Is this somehow wrong? Can you upload the cleaned .esp in tes nexus?

Actually no, the unofficial patches should not be cleaned. They have some "dirty edits" on purpose to ensure the changes are applied even after some masters. Unfortunately on that page, there are some errors...

The DLC's do have a lot of dirty edits and they do need to be cleaned. You can't upload them to Nexus - that would be illegal. Unfortunately everybody has to clean them themselves.

wait, that should not be illegal. I'm not uploading the .bsa with them, I'm just uploading the .esp , and with the esp you are not able to do nothing if you don't have the .bsa

Unfortunately everybody has to clean them (the DLC's) themselves.

The "positive" point is they're not getting updated, so you only have to do it once!

I really don't think they'd like it... Perhaps you should ask someone first. If it does turn out to be a problem, you'd get banned from Nexus. Also, I thought one of the DLC's was just an esp... Most of them have BSA's, but I think there's one that doesn't...

Spell Tomes and Mehrunes Razor are just plugins. No BSA.

After filtering and 'cleaning' plugins, it's also a good idea to "Undelete and disable references" while filtered. The DLC's alone have > 650 deleted refs, many of them crashes waiting to happen.

You may NOT upload the DLC anywhere, all, or part. It is a violation of Beth's copyrights, and they have zero sense of humor when it comes to that.

No. The unofficial patches should not be cleaned. They already have been. You'd simply be wasting your time. The UOP has exactly one dirty edit when using SI which is left in place because the record is different in a non-SI game.

If there's not a lot of stuff to clean, it may not come out much different, and in some cases you can expect the size to go up if the undelete+disable option has a lot to correct.

DO NOT upload cleaned ESPs for the DLCs anywhere unless you want to get yourself banned from the site, and possibly here too, for engaging in piracy.

i tried cleaning the DLCs once...there weren't THAT many dirty edits removed...half of them ended up not even altered because of nothing to clean, now i'm wondering if i was doing it wrong somehow...i did follow the instructions on that page, it's pretty easy to follow actually. load the esp you want to clean last, plus all the explicit and inplicit masters with it.
