Cleaning Saves?

First, I would like to apologize ahead of time if I am posting this in the wrong place. I am not entirely certain where it applies, I think that it is here as the only way I know of cleaning saves is through fan made things, but then I could be wrong. If so I am sorry, and I will try to post in the proper locations in future.

Okay, so I ended up majorly messing up a save of mine in a character that had heavily relied on mods. What happened was that I was attempting to add/adjust some mods, but somehow I ended up with the launcher open twice, and the one I didn't use to launch the game still had the data files thing open. Which basically resulted in me loading the game without any mods. But I didn't realize this, as when the warning popped telling me the mods had changed, I assumed that it was simply because I had changed some of the mods, so once it was loaded I immediately saved over the old save. Right after that, I found the issues. Such as my character being bald, and most of my inventory was gone.

What I am wondering is it possible to change saves, and delete things from them by date. As that was the only time I had accessed that save that day, I would think that that would be the easiest way to fix it, by deleting/removing all changes from that date. What I don't know is that even possible? And if so how would I go about that?

Thehttp://www.uesp.net/wiki/Tes3Mod:Enchanted_Editor is pretty good at viewing save data in a discernable way. I doubt what you're asking for is possible though.

http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1449775-wrye-mash-thread-6/ has a save cleaner function. I would try it first.

Unfortunately, you can't normally track individual changes to a file like that, even on different days. It may be a different matter if some sort of automatic periodical backup of files on the relevant drive/partition is going on, though.Loading a save with many mods without any of them loaded can have irreversible consequences in regards to losing mod content and progress and there isn't a way to automatically replicate those. Unfortunately, your best bet seems to be going back to a previous save, or a backup of the save, if you have one.

I was afraid of the that... Ah well. I have tried using both of those, but they didn't work. Back to the three week old back up it is then.
