S T A L K E R Clear Sky

This game reminds me of STALKER and STALKER:Clear Sky pc game. Same complexity, modding and world exploration. I do remember having to SAVE game progress every now and then as a crash would occur just like the in-game radiation storms. There were mod upgrades for weapons, suits, ammos; the game was fun and entertaining. My favorite body armor was a suit that used Servos with a choice of adding night vision goggles with a blue hue. Anyone who played this game will notice the similarities between these two.

There are a lot of similarities to several games at the moment. The PC controls are very similar to MCS V TPP, which suggests a new standard for terrible console ports. Character creation is similar to Saints Row 3, and other bits resemble Far Cry 2/3. And lets not mention the dialogue system and voice actors from Mass Effect.

That doesn't take anything away though. I've owned this game for two weeks and have about 150 hours up, so clearly I like what they have done with it.

And the swampy environment has made me think of STALKER more than once.

How is Fallout 4 like STALKER: Clear Sky ?

Clear Sky was harsh, man. The kind of game you would save after each single enemy you kill, feel like a wimp and terrify yourself each time you hear a bloodsvcker screaming, and hide inside buildings until the night goes away because you are scared as ****.

Fallout 4 lacks the survival and horror elements of the STALKER series, and neither it is as challenging or punishing as STALKER games. STALKER is the 'Dark Souls' of shooters. It will mercilessly kill you again and again and have fun with it.

P.S. The next STALKER game, Call of Pripyat is better than Clear Sky. It improved on many aspects.

Radstorms:

in Stalker they [censored] kill you.

in Skyrim with guns you get a green tint.

Actually for us old timers, it's the modded games that we love. They are mostly based on Shadow. Oblivion Lost and Stalker Soup, a Russian effort are far harder than the vanilla game. It is hard to believe.

Ha! Oblivion Lost 2.2 7 [censored] controllers in the Warehouse. You know you're having a bad day when you can see 3 controllers at the same time. If I had as many hours in STALKER as I have in Fallout I'd be dead 10 times over from heart failure.

Yeah those games were tough even unmodded. I rather deal with a pack of Lonesome Road Deathclaws than two Bloodsvckers in the night :cold:

And those blowouts, in some SoC mod they were so intense it was difficult to survive them near Pripyat even when in buildings.

Fallout 4 is pleasant stroll trough a wrecked landscape compared to those ^_^ Well, as long you don't run into a Behemoth, Mirelurk Queen or Legendary Sentry Bot :hehe: Though that doesn't happen very often.

Almost killed a Behemoth at level 7. He was fooling with Deathclaws and I saw he was about 20% Health, so I started in, on him with the Pipe Sniper Rifle. Almost got him then he made it into the building I was hiding in, upstairs and just pounded the second floor. I laughed I died. ;)

Yeah I have several thousand hours in that silly game. I have 3 up and running now, I go play sometimes. I'm so bad from nearly 2 years of ESO that Fallout 4 Survival is all I'm good for. Maybe it will help me get my chops back. ;)
