so I was doing something completely different, and all of a sudden I got a quest completed pop-up for a "clear the way for sanctuary hills" radiant quest, which was weird in of itself, but now it's stuck in my quest list - the item to talk to Preston is checked off (even though I hadn't done that yet), and it says, "I should talk to Preston and let him know we won't be gaining support of Sanctuary Hills." I can't make the quest active, and because the quest item is checked off, I can't talk to Preston.

Just add this to the plethora of broken quests in this game so far... if they're going to include radiant quests that are infinite, and (for some reason) expire if you don't do them right away, they should at least make sure they don't break.

Want to push this, since it seems to be a problem with several quests.

I failed (ignored the [censored] out of) a kidnapping at Sanctuary Hills quest and since I waited to long, I got the pop up that it failed and I should talk to Preston about it. The "Talk to preston" marker is checked and the quest has been stuck unfinishable in my log for days now.
