[RELz] Clep Home

Wee! I got a lot done and if I can continue to have the time, it looks like the new download will be available on Monday. The biggest things left to do is the rest of the storage containers (4 done so far) but I don't think there will be as many as last time since there is going to be a sorter. Also, for now, you will have to unlock the Combat Terminal to sort your weapons and armors. The reason for this is because the sorter makes it so that the things get put into the containers at full health. You will just have to manually place your armors and weapons into the containers until you are able to unlock it. Luckily the containers will be right there when you teleport to Clep Home. Enough gab, here are the pictures of the changes:

Don't worry about the lighting, that still needs to be tweaked as well.

Yes, this is Clep Home changes :dance:

Clepified is put on hold for now because I really needed to do the containers, in Clep Home, over again. I figured that since I needed to do the containers over, I might as well add the other features that people requested for Clep Home. Balok made a request for the My first Lab and the Infirmary, so that gave me a reason to expand Clep Home. I didn't know what to do with the little hall type area where the storage containers are now, before when I tried to expand, but now I do and it fits well. I really hope people will be pleased with the changes to Clep Home when they are done.

I have all the scripts done and applied for Drinks, Food, Ammo, Explosives, and Chems. I am in the middle of working on the junk items (books, kitchen, office, quest etc). This part is taking a bit longer cause I am trying to make sure each of the items go into a proper labeled container. So I am working on the script and making the containers at the same time. Once that is done, then onto Weapons and Armor.

Remember everyone, you have to take everything out of Clep Home that you have now, cause by Monday there will be a whole new download. So if you have the ones up now, take everything out and delete Clep Home. Delete the Clep Home folders in both meshes and textures folders (meshes\Miss Sparkle and textures\Miss Sparkle ).

All auto sorting scripting (Full credit still goes to DTom cause it is his script) is done, unless I want to make more containers and change where some items get sorted threw (knowing me, I probably will). Now I can concentrate on the little room, the lighting, a trash can that will re-spawn (will be placed in the kitchen area). I know I had a request to add some clutter for the hard to reach areas, so I will look into that as well :) Not sure right now what else will be added, I have to look threw the thread again.

Since Rayeks' http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=6394 isn't far from the vault 101, I highly suggest using his mod to store your items until the new Clep home update.

Ah... complete random testing for bugs today (that's my story, and I'm going to stick to it!) I discovered something. If you are in the CLEP house and open up your pipboy, then take off and put the glasses back on without closing the pipboy (and thus exiting the house) in between it sets your 'exit point' inside the house. So you put the glasses on, you're teleported inside the house. You take the glasses off.... you're teleported inside the house. Since there is no other exit to the house you have to reload a save file to escape. (or you can use coc to travel to a new location).

Also a thought for the teleport item. Right now it is just an ordinary item, correct? So it could be dropped and lost, which would mean you would have to reload to an earlier save to get access to the home again. Perhaps the item should respawn in case of accident, or be made a quest item so it can't be dropped/sold/traded away?

Well, gorsh, thank you. I'm just happy to help out. :) I really like this mod after all. After some... unpleasantness with the game itself recently (not really mod related, but some serious bugging out with core gameplay) I had to gut my install and start over from scratch, I decided to start over a new character too. I'm pretty mod-light so far (trying to get the game itself to be stable :P) but three things that were on the 'must have' list was DarNified UI, Rayek's mini hideout and the CLEP Home. :)

Aww :wub: Very much appreciated :D Fixed now (except a 3rd option)! Right now I only have a few mods installed as well. I wanted to get threw the complete base game before I start installing all the goodies that I see :hubbahubba:

I was debating if people would use the separate containers (pre-war outfits, raider armor, etc.) so I didn't do them yet, but now I will :D One thing to let everyone know about. The auto sorter for armor and weapons is set to max science (100 skill) to be able to sort them. The reason I did this was because that seemed the best logical explanation for why the armor and weapons would go into the container fully repaired. Until you get your science up to 100, you will just have to put them into the Armor and Weapons container and sort them into other containers if you wish. To auto sort everything else, you need to have your science skill at 50. Seems fair enough, and isn't that hard to get it that high in just a few levels :)

I haven't added a pet yet (besides the fish tank) so I will look to see what I think would be appropriate (or just look so darn cute). I think I will even check to see if there are any resource creatures. I am very sorry, but I am going to have to say no to the Brahmin cow. Those things just give me the creeps :bolt: This does depend if it is going to cause lag though. If I add a mini pet, and it lags, then I am going to have to remove that feature. At a later point I can always add a hidden door or something to a pet room and other rooms.

I wish I could say the updated navmesh was complete (navmesh for the new storage room) but did finish last night without saving. I clicked the balance navmesh, finalize nav mesh, then when I clicked the test navmesh, I crashed after about 30 sec lol. Oh well, it is easy enough to do anyways.

I am glad to hear that you are looking forward to the new release that is coming up :D I have really enjoyed making Clep Home!

Um... I think a little Deathclaw Matriarch from MMM would be a cute pet :nod: The red Skin texture version B) or maybe a little Yao Guai :D

You could ask the makers of either of these fine companion mods if you could use their mod as resource for a Clep Pet Companion

Ok, I finished up all the containers and adjusted all the sorters so the items would go in the correct containers (small guns in the small guns container, pre-war clothes in the pre-war container, etc.). That is what took up the most time by far. We are in the home stretch now, just have to adjust the navmesh, adjust lights, find some clutter to add (not much though) and test out a mini creature pet.

He has a problem with stairs, but eventually he gets over them. I wish I knew how to fix that. The navmesh is complete also :D Clep Home is about 90% - 95% done!

What scale you got him set to?

I read on Loxy's thread that when he shrunk his Claw companion too much there was a problem with stairs, don't know if he solved it though.

Really looking forward to this now :drool:

@ Rayek - Thank you :D

@ Ashya - He is house broken :D Once in awhile he will jump way up and I think he uses the ceiling as his private bathroom. Thankfully there are vents in there :bigsmile: He is friendly, and actually, if you shot him, he will only run away. He is set to essential so he can't die. I don't know how to make him eat anything, but I really want him to be able to be fed. Anyone have any ideas on where I look?

@ Xiomberg - I have him set to 0.2000 (the picture shows him at 0.3000) so he is a bit smaller than the picture. If it is a game issue than people will just have to pretend that he is a baby and trying to figure out how to use the stairs :whistle: He eventually gets over them. I also notice that he sinks in the ground a bit, but if you turn around and face him again, be is level with the ground again.

[edit] Oh and p.s. There isn't any lag still! :dancing:
