LOL we may destroy each other gushing about each others mods. :lmao:

Seriously though just got back from Clep Home 3.0 and all I gotta say is WoW!

Now while I think everything is a great update...I gotta say Zek the pet is absolutely awesome. I walked in and heard some type of growling....looked down and there he was justa staring at me. Then he started sharpening his claws :  made me nervous for a moment. The little green glow just makes him awesomer...

The storage room is great (blue lights!) and love the new mannequin spots. Sorters are a great addition too...I like that they give a message what they are removing.

Workbench and Lab are nice additions and I really like the way you did the lab...nice feel to it.

And then of course the bedroom...dang...your aquarium is awesome...the lighting was done really well. Really topped off that room.

As a side note I did notice Zek step into the floor after he went through an animation and you're right, whip around and he's right back up. Not that big of a deal.

The sorters however require a Science skill of 100 and 50...as well as when your skill is that high you have to get through to them with a password.

I'm not sure if you intended it that way as kind of a way of earning them or not but wanted to let you know.

Awesome job Miss Sparkle...Love it. Very nice custom home.

I am a loyal Zek fan as of this evening. :woot: :celebration:

Well, I got back from checking out the new house, and I really like it. I've started putting some things away. I like the sorters. I've never been all that much for them in general, but in this case I really think they work well, and they pretty much put things the way I would have, with a few exceptions. Some items like pre-war books and blood packs I keep in the quest case, so I know when I have enough to turn them in. Now I just need to get my Science skill to 100 to use the weapon and armor sorter! I did notice as expected that the sorter didn't work for custom items. As I expected, really. Where did it put my lucky 8 ball and food sanitizer though?

Zek is going to take a little getting used to. :) Sure he's cute and pint sized... but walking around and hearing that breathing makes me tense up and look around for the danger... After all, when I normally hear that I'm very close to getting my face clawed off... :)

One bug I found already, if it can be called that.... I went to drop some tools on the workbench as decorative items, make it look lived in... But dropping a hammer on the surface of the bench made the the schematics and parts case completely freak out. It started banging around in the table like a thing possessed, clipping through the table and knocking the hammer I dropped around. Picking up the hammer made it calm down after a few seconds.

I also really like the medical gel station. A very nice and handy way to have the Infirmary added to the Clep house. :)

All in all, big thumbs up on this update. Now I need to get some mannequins to display my power armor, at least until I can wear it...

@ Rayek - You cracked me up when you mentioned Zek staring at you sharpening his claws! Yeah, I prefer the sorters that way so that people have to work a bit for something that makes life a whole lot easier :P Thank you very much for the review!

@ Ashya - Ok, I will look into those tiny issues :D Thank you so very much for the feedback! I will change where some items get put, hmm, try the quest container for those 2 items. If you find more items that are sorted wrong, or not sorted at all, let me know so I can change them and have another update

Very sorry for quick replys, busy day, gotta run! :bolt:

I can't put up a picture but I can describe. If you go into first person view mode as soon as you exit the Vault and your eyes clear from the light, turn yourself to the left you'll see the glasses sitting on the wood frame around the vault entrance. It's about halfway up. Being black and thin on wood it's fairly hard to see, but if you slowly move your cursor around you'll pass over them and get the E) Pickup Clep Glasses message.

@ Catastros - Ashya is correct :) If they aren't there, then maybe they fell on the ground.

@ Ashya - I couldn't have worded that better myself :D Thank you so much for taking the time to help out!

@ Everyone - I may not be around much today and possibly tomorrow. I finally re-formated my computer and re-installing everything. That shouldn't slow down the update for Friday though :)

To have fixed:
Mannequin stands (feet sinks into the stands, so I think I have them upside down)
Move the Workbenck container to the storage room (less convient, but less likely to dance around :P )
...hmm, probably more things but I have to read everything again

If you have items put into a container that you don't like them put into, mention it now so I can change them. Notice another bug, mention them as well :)

Well. This is really not a bug or anything. Just an odd occurrence I came across today. My latest character went and did Operation Anchorage today. Started up the sim, had all my stuff removed from inventory, talked with Benji etc. Then I opened up my inventory to hot key my new gear, and shock and surprise.. Everything had been taken out of my inventory EXCEPT the Clep glasses. And they even worked. Powerful stuff those, able to cross the boundaries between the real and virtual world...

So now I'm in possession of some official issue US Army Simulation gear. :)

That is probably cause they are set up as a quest item (so they can't be dropped). Fridays update will have the old version back up (where they can be dropped as well as the script where it teleports once you exit the pipboy) and this verison (where they can't be dropped and they teleport you right away while you are in pipboy). I never set up the companion glasses to be as a quest item, so those can be taken out of inventorys :)

@ CoolShady - Thank you so much for the congrats! I remember your name from Oblivion forums :D

@ Everyone - Today is the day I re-install Fallout and possibly tonight I can work on those tiny fixes :) There will be no need to remove your items, so it will be safe to just keep everything as is.

Ooh! Doesn't that mean you can pilfer gear from the simulation, as well as bringing your own weapons in? :D

I wish I had an answer for you, but the only DLC I have (so far) is the Broken Steel. Maybe Ashya can answer your question?

Yes, yes it does. I have two sets of winterized armor, a gauss rifle and a Chinese and American assault rifle from the sim. Most of it is actually decorating mannequins in my storage room though I keep one set of armor for wearing instead of regular combat armor (I like the looks better). And I grabbed a sniper rifle to go with the standard infantry gear package when I did the second half of the sim.

Oh, as a side note Miss Sparkle: the sorters did not sort out the Winterized Power Armor that you get as a reward from doing the DLC. I didn't bother trying to sort out the sim gear (I'm keeping it separate anyway), but after using the armor/clothes/weapons sorter when I brought back my piles of gear I found that it left the Winterized armor in my inventory.

Yes, I am sorry, I don't have the sorters to sort anything from any of the DLC's :( The only DLC I have is the BS one, and even then I didn't set the sorter to sort anything from it. I wasn't sure if I were to, if it would require Clep Home to need that DLC in order to work. I guess I can give it test run though :)

I just mention it for the sake of completeness with testing. I actually don't use the sorters that much because of all the customized content I use. I would have to spend a bunch of time sorting my extra gear anyway. Still it's useful for dropping off my weapon components and things like that, but weapons, armor and quest items I prefer to sort by hand.

Thank you :D Yes, personally I wouldn't use the 2nd sorter because I don't like the idea of my weapons/armors/clothes becoming fully repaired. That is why I set it to 100 science skill to be less of a cheat. Wyked (I hope I spelt his name right, sorry if I didn't) gave me a script that would allow you to sort the armors just as they are, but you would have to do it one at a time. I figured it would be faster to just place them in the containers.

If there are any changes that someone would like made, speak up now, or forever hold your peace :P
Going to change:
Location of container at the workbench (moved to bottom shelf towards the wall)
Flip the mannequin stands over so things don't sink into them (already tested)
2 versions of the teleport script (The version now, and the previous version)
Silent walking on Zek

Since there have been 2 people mentioning an alternative exit from Clep Home, where would be the best spot to be? I think megaton would have been if it didn't have the option to be blown up, so I can't put it there. Maybe Rivet City? Any other suggestions?

I am going to add the option to sort the items by type as well. Another words, if you click on small guns, only those will be sorted, if you click on big guns, only those will be sorted, etc.

I took the sound files off of Zek, I couldn't find a way to take only the feet sounds off because it seems to be a package sound file.

Hmm, that is it for now, just need to know a good exit location.

[edit to add] Ok, I found how to insert the separate sounds. I took out the package of sounds and added the deathclaw idle sound only :)

I am not sure the update will be available tomorrow. I have decided to work on the sorting method. I have started to separate the menus to be better organized as well as more options. Another words, instead of clicking on weapons and all of your weapons placed into containers, you will have options of small guns, big guns, energy guns, etc. I am doing this with everything. I have also decided to move the ammo to the guns boxes as well. This means that if you click on Small Gun Ammo, the ammo for the small guns will be moved to the Small Guns container. I find that it is much easier to find the ammo that you need and don't need. I would much rather go to the Small Guns container and have both my weapons and my ammo right there for me. The Ammo container is staying so that when you have mods or the DLC's you can stick them in there if you like.

Speaking of DLC's, I tested out what would happen if I added some of the Broken Steel weapons to the sorter scripts. The result is that it makes it so that you need to have Broken Steel in order for Clep home to work. So the bad news is that I will not be adding any sorting scripts for any DLC's or mods. The good news is that I will provide a separate doc with the next update so that you can add any items you want to the sorters. Keep in mind though, if you decide not to use that mod at a later time, you can't use clep home either unless you install it again.

That is it for now, I will keep everyone posted :D

For a separate fixed exit for the home, I'd go with Rivet City. It's a big part of the game, there's some logic to it being there as it's a gathering of some of the best scientific minds in the DC area (Red Rock and the Citadel probably being the other two big brain trusts) and it's a relatively easy area to get to even at low levels so it would seem less of a 'cheat'. Simms also has a dialog option that marks it on your map, so it's something that you can know about right away anyway. And for those who don't care about cheating or not it's a much faster way to grab the Intelligence bobblehead right out of the box.

An alternate location would be to add something near Vault 101, but not in Megaton. That way you would have access to it right away if you wanted.

You are correct and I will make the alternative exit to Rivet City. I plan on adding a picture of Rivet City that will be a teleport door. Think of it as you are looking at the picture and you click on it, you will then teleport to the location you see in the picture.

Ok, I have worked on the scripts with the terminals and I am very pleased with the results. I have all the weapons, ammo, explosives, Vault apparel, Combat armor, Power armor, and Raider armor done so far. The way I have it set up, is you click the terminal and click on Weapons/Ammo option, it will open up a new screen. Then you can select: Small Gun Ammo, Big Gun Ammo, Energy Gun Ammo, Explosives or Weapons. If you click on the Weapons, another screen will allow you to select: Small Guns, Big Guns, Energy Guns, Melee Weapons, or Unarmed.

Tonight I am going to take Clep Home down for about a week. I need to make more labeled containers (yup, again) and this means that I have to make the storage room a little bit bigger :P It won't be much, just another section added (2 wall pieces and a middle). The reason why is because I am going to upload the whole thing again (meshes and textures). It will have the new meshes and textures for the new containers and new picture added. I believe after this update, it should be the final :D I am very sorry to do this, but I try to be a perfectionist and this would be the easiest method for me to be sure I didn't forget any textures or meshes. I doubt you will have to remove anything from any containers, but you may have to move anything that you displayed in the storage room. When the update is done, all you should need to do is over write the files.

Note: I have already changed some locations where some items went, so the easiest thing to do when the new update arrives, is to take everything out of the containers and pass them threw the sorter. My goal is next Friday (hopefully sooner) for the big update :)

Looking forward to the update in a week or so. As always take your time...make it how you like it and I bet we'll all love it.

Teleporting by clicking on the picture is in fact an "awesome" idea. Really looking forward to that.

Also, thank you for clarifying earlier what CLEP meant, was curious. :)

Now that I have Clep Home and it's not up anymore it's a collector's item...Sweet! :P

this is sounding great im really looking forward to it. The only other exit i would suggest is the vault 101 door as it kinda central and it wouldnt break any scripts (dont know if it would) by appearing in rivet city before you have traveled there. I do kinda like the idea of clicking on the pics and being teleported there that sounds cool. Say while your expanding the room could we get a couple more mannequin stands im a big fan of setting up the armors of dled. also any chance of getting some of these? http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_LfWMaPpxToo/SWzgynCYRxI/AAAAAAAAAQo/4PoTjhBZc74/s400/Lincoln.bmp the case not the rifle lol.
