*CLICK* to hold breath.

Does anybody else wish that this games hold-breath function was like other FPS's and we could just click once to hold our breath (and it would hold-breath for as long as we can, and then breath again), instead of having to hold the button down?

I am on PS4, and when I try to hold the stick down to hold my breath I end up slowly walking in some random direction, and either leaving cover, or falling off a high place.

Do you think they might make it optional for which style we like to use?

Also, my old hands have a bit of arthritis, and holding down the stick is rather difficult for me.

I like it personally, it makes sense to have to actually hold a button down like you would be holding your breath but as for your issue, sorry yeah that svcks. There are a lot of people asking for button remapping on PC. Hopefully they will include console button remapping also if they ever add that as there are many buttons i'd like to change also as very recently I made the transition from a 360 to PS4 and am finding it pretty weird and frustrating sometimes especially in workshop building mode.

I just did it again.

I was on a high bridge and sniping at some Gunners below and when I held my breath I slow-walked right off the edge...and died magnificently. :(

Maybe you could switch the L1 And L3 functions so you use the stick for vats and the bumper for holding your breath.

If that works. Don't know if you can "hold" the bumper.

I had a bit of trouble keeping it held down. I don't move about but I tended to ease up on the pressure as I'm concentrating on aiming. It also took me awhile to figure out that I needed to hold it down. In the beginning I was just clicking it and thinking.. "that doesn't help at all." However, I've been building up my perception and agility and the sight seems to have stabilized a lot. I've taken 3 levels of rifleman, 1 level of night person, one level of sniper, 2 levels of ninja. I don't have to hold down the breath button at all anymore. The gun sway barely moves at all at night. I would take that second level of night person if it weren't for the attached night vision perk. I tested it out and just found it really annoying. Kind of wish they had given that perk 3 levels and made the night vision the last level so i could get the +3 stat boost without the stupid night vision.

But then you have to hit the L1 to sprint.

I forgot about re-mapping on the PS4...which is weird since I have had to do it for every other FPS I have played on it.

Thanks for reminding me. :)

Maybe I can find a combo that works for me...and saves my virtual life. ;)

Yeah hold breath should be toggle breath not "hold" breath. It's too literally B)

But srs you think that is bad? How is this more important than the power attack / grenade throwing? gl hf using melee & explosions build in this game :brokencomputer:

Toggle sounds like it'd be a pain. But then, I'm on keyboard. (and maybe it's just how I snipe - I tend to go in and out of holding breath rapidly, depending on how my targets move. Having to click twice to toggle on & then off would totally screw up how I've been doing things.)

That is why it should be an option to hold, or to toggle.

I don't think it is "more important", but it is definitely a "quality of life" issue for some players. :)
