Very annoying, all this DRM crap they put in our PC games these days, anyway, I have Crysis 2 installed on win 7 pro (OEM version) fully up to date as of this post, Crysis patch 1.4 downloaded and installed on first run, I login to my 'gamesas' account within the game, and enter my serial, then i'm on the main menu, I can play single player ok, not finished it yet but want to play multiplayer but whenever I do the game instantly crashes to the desktop, these are the details I'm given in the crash report.

I searched this forum for someone reporting the same issue but none found so I posted a new thread. Very annoyed that still, EA cannot get it right after so many years, you pay for software expecting it to run ok but pirates have an easier time getting their games going smoothly, but enough ranting from me, are there an people having the same issues? fixes?

Maybe try skip the login screen at the start, then click multiplayer and login from there

yeah, tried that too, even updated the EADM thing and registered my key in it too, but whenever I try to launch the game with EADM it hangs before the main menu and opening ad videos.

I've got the same issue. Also with win7 64bit. That I installed a half a year ago. After every 2-3 tournaments the game crash down back to the Desktop and a message appear "Crysis2. This program is not working".And that massage appears also when I exit the game.
I'm not sure if I need do some adjustments or crysis2 needs a new patch. I hope I don't have to reinstall my operating system.

funny thing is my install of win7 32bit is kept up to date, but my 64bit version have updates disabled because I use it as a DAW, maybe some of the windows updates create a problem there, i don't know but all the other 40 or so games I have installed on 32 bit windows work good, just crysis 2 with the problem.

So to clarify, the OP had issues on 32-bit Win7 and when changed to 64-bit Win7 it was fixed but someone else is having issues with Win7 64-bit?

I personally run Win7 64-bit without issue. Seems as though it's an issue unrelated to whether you're running 32-bit or 64-bit. I'd be more inclined to think the issue was resolved when you formatted and made a fresh install of Win7 64-bit.

Will keep an eye out for any more examples of this though

Unfortunately no chance. I formated my c driver reinstalled win7 64bit + update ,antivir, updated grafic software (asus eah4850) and soon after crysis2. thats it. And after 2-3 tournaments: "das Programm wird aufgrund eines Problems nicht richtig ausgeführt.Das Programm wird geschlossen und sie werden benachrichtigt, wenn eine L?sung verfügbar ist."
I think there is something wrong with the adjustment on my computer but I have no idea where :/

doyou have any antivirus programs running ? disable all

it seems that your MP game get shutted down by a program try disable all antivrus ( test out disable firewalls)

seems to me you can play SP fine because it dont need to have incoming and outgoing connections.

i also know that some exe files from patches gives errors by virusscanners ( friend of mine had it) that also shutted game down.

i hope it helped try it and let us know
