I?m not sure where, but i remember reading a long time ago something about dragons inhabited morrowind and were driven off by the cliff racers

I remember that as well, it's a possibility that the notorious Cliff racers made the Dragons life a hell in Morrowind due to food supplies and such. But I cant find the source for it yet, so it might just have been a joke/ester egg.

I can imagine a large Cliff Racer population would cause the Dragons to decline, if the Cliff Racers moved in like a locust swarm and ate all the Dragons food then the Dragons wouldn't stay around. That requires Cliff Racer meat to not be digestible by Dragons though

Those damned racers are so pesky it made me wanna leave. It's no wonder the dragons took off.

HEY! Maybe that's what the deal is. Perhaps the Nereverine leaving had to do with the racers being annoying. By the time the rumor got to Cyrodiil, people are thinking that St. Juib drove the cliff racers out, when actually the cliff racers drove the nereverine to Akavir. Just like the dragons.
