Post » Sat May 28, 2011 9:06 pm

I have searched these forums and the whole internet to find a solution to this, but it appears that nobody besides me has ever thought.

Great! I can climb up [censored]! As if thats not useless enough. Apparently you cant climb down it.

Someone please tell me im just a noob and there is a way to climb down...

To the best of my knowledge, as I haven't gotten to try it yet, you need a rope to climb down surfaces. I'm not sure how it works when you do get the rope, sorry.

Climbing down was never implemented. To get down you rely on gravity, preferably dampened by slowfall. Try not to die!

Ropes don't exist, silly. :P

Yep, you have to risk breaking your legs when you want to "clmb down" surfaces.
Have fun! ;)

You'll find that isn't the case.

As for the return journey, so to speak, the developers were even kind enough to start you off with the Slowfall spell.

Look around a bit. Some dungeons have chains (close enough to a "rope" for ya?) hanging over pits, and using them will give you a temporary levitation or slowfall effect.

As stated, this was never implemented. Levitation and slowfall are pretty useful spells to have because of this.

With a good jumping skill it doesn't hurt so much.

You can catch yourself with the climbing skill part way down as you go. If you're jumping off a city wall, you can look for a house to drop onto. You'll find in dungeons that there are usually switches and ways to get to the places you need to go.

Thanks I guess im a lil disappointed about that. I seem to only appear at towns during night so when I climb the walls im pretty much stuck up there because if I try to jump off the other side I all of a sudden jump up 2000 feet in the air, yes this happens every time. Guess ill just svck it up and wait till morning. How convenient.

Try traveling cautiously. It will take longer to travel but you will always arrive during the day. (or night if you take damage from light)

That only happens if you jump. Climb the higher section of the wall and you can just walk off the edge.
