» Sat Apr 06, 2013 1:40 am I sure you have noticed that updates have been few and far between on both sites for rather a long time. The fact is that I have been intentioning to bring SKYRE back from the dead for over a year now and I am just lacking the time and most importantly the enthusiasm to do it. I have finally come to realise that it is time to move on. It has been seven years now, do you realise that I was 30 when I started ORE and now this year I will be turning 38! That is such a long time, such a huge period of my life.
It has been such a privilege and honor to be a part of this community and so much fun (and so much hard work lol) I have met such wonderful people, sadly most have actually moved on themselves, but there are some still around. Our heyday was Oblivion when there was so much activity and housing was all the rage, our challenges were so much fun...sadly things have changed as will happen with every community and site eventually. Skyrim has no need for a housing site and Oblivion doesn't have the large vibrant community it once did. The modding community for Skyrim is very different to Oblivion's, and the landscape of Skyrim doesn't lend itself to the houses and towns as much as Oblivion's lush flatter landscape did. Anyway that is just my humble opinion.
I wish you all the very best and I am sure I will see you all around as I will still be modding here and there when the creative urge hits. I will be removing the sites in one week. Right now the sites are in a state of disrepair and there is barely any traffic, certainly not enough to make it worthwhile leaving the sites up for longer. I want to make a clean finish of it, not leave it to languish. Thank you all for your understanding. Please ensure that all your files uploaded on ORE and SKYRE are uploaded elsewhere by Friday the 12th of April.
There are a lot of modding resources on ORE in the Modders of ORE section, we need to ensure that alternative homes are found for these and this is where I really need your help.
