Clothes For Veronica..

Post » Fri Aug 07, 2009 8:44 am

I know it's just a game character but she looks so terrible! I'm trying to find a good cloth setup for her and I'm liking the Chinese Stealth Armor. The only problem is that her hood still appears on her unfortunately. Does anybody know a good helmet or something.. I'm on the Xbox so I can't mod her (I have a Mac :(), I really just can't find anything for her that makes her look good but still.. awesome? Lol.. Well, thanks.

Fiend horned helmet, if you like that kind of thing. Metal armor is nice too. The cloth has a bit of DT, she needs a bit more to switch it.

"Relaxing in my quarters" As she is a member of the Brotherhood, i would expect her, while she is in a bunker to dress appropriately in Scribe clothing, but from what i have heard of her prowess with Hand to hand combat, i would at least if taking her out on the field, at the least, get her Combat Armor, at the most, a suit of T-45d Power Armor. Her protection for being a well trained Scribe is utmost, and as such, i would go with the later, as it would at least afford her some radiation resistance, and more strength to her blows, as i would also make sure she was well armed with a high end power gauntlet, such as a Ballistic Fist. Hmmm, wish more scribes were as capable as her.

I get her a Paladin Toaster if I want her to punch stuff, especially Brotherhood, Power Armor too. I like her ranged for the energy weapon skill, one I never develop. The Chinese Stealth Armor is pretty tight and she does look fine and with an RCW and a pile of ammo ... very deadly. I did see one screen shot with her in Legion Armor and she looked very nice in that for sure.

Chinese Stealth Suit works, although it's not a great armor suit and she'll get shot up while charging in (if she's going unarmed for you).

You could also give her a Combat Armor helmet; they look pretty good and will get her hood off.

I usually plop her in T-51b if I'm going into serious combat (without a helmet, and I have mods/console commands to get rid of her damn hood).

Lucky PC jerks lmao. I'm not too worried about the defensiveness of her for I'm playing on a low difficulty on this play through. I have to say I'm lovin' the Chinese Stealth Armor on her though, I'd hate to part with it lol. I guess I'll have to search for a darn helmet that doesn't make her look like a man. >.<

Give her a Ballcap with glasses then give her sunglasses. She will just be wearing the sunglasses and not that hood.... According to the wiki.

There's a mod on the nexus that lets you take off companion default equipment, and she does in fact have hair. Somebody from her home town even comments about her being "shy about your hair" or something like that, so apparently the hood is deliberate. I don't remember it ever being explained why. Another aspect of her kookiness. :)

Get a Basecall cap with glasses, a Veterans helmet (any helmet that covered the entire face works) and sunglasses.

Give her the baseball cap, make her put on the glasses afterwords, and put the veterans helmet on her and then remove it.

Valla~ Veronica with hair.

Legion armor always looked weird on female characters for me
Like its only modeled for male character.
The only armor obsidian added to the game that looks like actually worn by a female is great khan and ncr armor.

i've had her remove her hood before to expose her hair. twas a while ago, i think its that shoulder length wavey blonde hairstyle isnt it? as far as i can remember anyway. Havent experimented much, but she does look good in full power armour, not the remnants one tho.

Didn't no you could take her hood off her? it never appears in her inventory for me...

I thought she was awful with ranged weapons? :-S

You can't remove her stock clothing/armor. Same with all companions, all you can do is give them something better to use.

Veronica does fine with Ranged Weapons, but she is so much better at punching things.

She is so good with ranged weapons, don't forget she has good Brotherhood energy weapon skills, that I just let her and the dog run. I show up later and bash what's still standing. She shoots the baddies off Rex really well.

As Momaw mentioned, there's a mod to allow it (or mods, the one I have is Companion Dressup). No use if you don't play on PC, of course.

Yes, unfortunatly she does not have the disicpline of the other scribes. All this complaining and saying we should turn out back on the codex. Rubbish. Still i would definetly reccomend a full suit of power armour, at all times. One of our biggest advantages in the field and given that our current position in the mojave is dangerous, i suggest wearing a full suit of power armour any time you go outside the bunker. Or avoid combat, her objective is to find and recover tech, not making enemies

You can always just make it go poof with console commands as well.

Hmm... I tried that and it didn't work. Care to walk me through it a bit more carefully? I'm pretty sure I followed your directions to the T (All except the veterans helmet exactly. I used a recruit decanus helmet).

Edit: I see what I did wrong. I misinterpreted your meaning. She'll take off her hood, but will still have *something* on her face. I thought she would be completely clean for some reason. I am like the OP in that I am also having Veronica wear the Chinese Stealth Armor and want that hood gone, lol.
