Clothes

Post » Tue May 03, 2011 12:45 am

Clothes have a lot more detail in Skyrim and multiple clothes seem to have the same *theme*, meaning you might be able to mismatch clothes and have it actually look good. Also clothes seem more decorative (eg headpiece the kajiit is wearing and the mulilayers of clothing) and Bethesda isn't afraid to let the characters show a little skin this time around

clothes are a big deal to me. they say a lot about the type of person you are and make a big difference in my roleplaying experience. I'm almost always mage-based so I'm hoping for some actually non-generic robes I can get my hands on with unique rare accessories like headpieces, necklaces, some awesome staffs, and whatnot

what kind of clothing do you guys hope to come across?

there seems to be a lot barbaric themed clothing...I'm kind of more interested in the royal, gentemanly look. here's to hoping it'll be available

also layering...it would be awesome to wear that one outfit that barely covers his chest with in bottoned bur coat. barbarian king!!

The more screens I see the less and less I think that armor will be able to be mixed and matched :unsure2:

That being said I want to see a really cool glass armor! :tes:

I'm sure there's going to be a wide variety of armor in the game, I just think Bethesda isn't ready to reveal too much of it yet.

I have every confidence in their being all sorts of different armors and clothes but I think it is going to be like Fallout 3 and have suits.

Fingers crossed for separate hand slots, though I doubt they'll do it.

I'd love to be able to wear clothes under my armor like Morrowind, or robes over it. Or a wardrobe system like LOTRO, but that's mostly redundant for a single-player game where gimping your enchantments or armor value doesn't matter as much.

I am aware i am just feeling like we are going to lose individual pieces of armor. Either that or most armor looks really good together...

I wouldn't worry about it. Honestly.

The game is going to be good despite and I really could care less because I never mix two different armor sets. I was more just making an observation.

It will at least be the same customization as Oblivion.

When I first played, I didn't care about the clothes at all but now I'm really getting into it. I want to get all dressed up and hit the local tavern and talk to a lot of people in between questing to learn why the Dragons came back so I can save Skyrim. :)

wasn't aware Morrowind had that option (ES noob).... it's f*cking awesome and they need to bring it back

edit: I think in the pic with him showing his chest, it's the same armor as the other pic minus a shirt.
so I think theres some hope for the option to wear robes on top (it must be cold after all)

or, the more likely possibility that armor comes in sets. meaning mixmatch would be possible but it wouldn't look good. we're just hoping for otherwise
