Clothing and armor.

Post » Tue May 03, 2011 2:40 am

I was looking through the screen shots and all I see is fur armor or light weight armor. Will there be glass armor, daedra, mythrill, ect.....? I really hope so. D;
Also, I think you should be able to wear armor and a cloak or cape over it. :P
I don't know. Ever since I heard Skyrim was coming out, I've been thinking out the outfits. I really think there should be more clothing...
So the Npc's don't look like clones of eachother...

Of course. They don't want to show everything yet.

sorry those are all gone as well as any spell you didn't see in the game, and those were the only characters/creatures in the game
I highly doubt they would get rid of all of the armor types

So far I've seen in one shot what looks like steel armor.

Edit: Nevermind, I think it may be the elven armor. Still looks cool.

Oh my, I'm just hoping for a fur cloak or something for when I make a ranger. I need some sort of cloak, plus it'd make sense to keep out the cold. And I'm guessing(hoping) there will be some sort of very nice looking heavy armor to go along with some more horned helmets, but that's just me.

I hope we can wear clothing under the armor. They have hinted at what sounded to be great things about armor, so I don't think we will be too terribly disappointed.

There will definitely be all the armor types from previous games in Skyrim.

God i would love cloaks which could be worn over armor. And different types. With high enchantment capacities. And really cool unique ones with powerful enchantments on them. Oh the possibilities... :shifty:

He said there's more choices as to what to wear than in Oblivion.

So they're showing us the lowest level of armors now, as they did with Oblivion (most they showed was Elven)

I hope they bring back what they did with Morrowind and armor, mixing pieces and such. I want to be able to mix pauldrons or not wear one on one side. Also you could wear robes over armor.

they probably include all of the armor from the original maybe even more, they probably got rid of a couple of the original armors but i bet they still have a good, wide variety of armor. oh, and same with clotheing.

Actually, the only armor in the game is fur armor. Todd confirmed that only what you saw on the trailer is gonna be in the game. So, thats like 3 or 4 creatures/baddies types, 2 or 3 weapon, and the game is gonna last 3 minutes. The game is you basically giving your own spin to the 3 minute trailer. EPIC!

Of course the types of armors we've seen so far are the only types of armor in the game, we've already seen all the content there is in the game, everything we haven't seen doesn't exist. So frost spells, lightning spells, dynamic snow, the Greybeards, Khajiit, and all those things aren't in the game, oh wait... we know those are in the game...

My point is that just because we haven't seen something doesn't mean it's not in the game, Bethesda wouldn't have fur and leather be the only types of armor in the game, I'm sure, in fact, we've seen at least one non-organic armor in the form of elven, possibly two types, if what the woman in the concept art is wearing is actually a different type of armor and not just the female version of elven armor. Granted, elven armor is probably still light, but nonetheless, it's an example of a metal armor, and we can assume it's not the only one. Now, most of the armor we've seen looks like some variation of for or leather, but that's likely because that's just what Bethesda has decided to show us, it doesn't mean it's all that's in the game.
