Clothing and fabric Physics?

Flowing capes and pieces of clothing would be cool. Also if you have a ponytail or long hair or something it'd be neat if that had some movement when you ran, turned, ect.

It'd help TES escape the blocking looking characters and animations.

As they've put a lot of work into improve the Gamebryo engine I'd be surprised if these sorts of physics weren't vastly improved.

I don't think the engine can handle that unless its only for the player.

Cloth physics (not just fancy rigging, but actual computed physics complete with environmental interaction) would definitely be nice!

But then what kind of machine would we need in order to even get the game running? :shakehead:

I would be happy if they can make something of comparable standard to what was done in the Soul Calibur games.

If they were going to put effort into something like this, I would first like armor that doesn't bend and twist when a character moves or shifts his weight.

Cloaks that go around your characters armor to keep the warm would be awesome.

Alright, in my opinion the Assassin's Creed series was one of the first games to really pull off believable clothing physics for your character. As a gear fanatic I could play that gave for a half-hour just to watch the way the cloak and robe falls about Ezio's legs and arms.

Do you think it is possible to see something like this here? Will there finally be believable cloaks and capes in Skyrim? Your thoughts.

Don't forget physics for the hair, in Oblivion I was really disappointed to see my characters hair go through it's own clothing/body parts.
Also cloth tear on for example your cape would be awesome if it gets hit by a sword :P
