So, as I don't think we will get gloves or belts back ... that's 3 slots ('outfit', shoes, hood) when we decide not to wear armor?

Great thing this game doesn't get dumbed down! :celebration:

It's ok, everything will be alright. Everyone will find something they like and removing the mix and match will allow for the devs to make dozens upon dozens of unique clothing outfits and armor suits with several variations of each without having to worry about the separate pieces working together. It gives them more artistic freedom than they had before.

Have you seen some of the suits? They look 10x better than anything that has ever been in TES. It won't be as bad as you think, I promise.

I personally would rather have more npc's on screen instead the option to mix and match my clothing.

And besides, I remember a few raiders who's didn't have much of a top to speak of even though their armor was one piece. Just start looking for that begger who's to poor to afford a shirt.

Yay, more over reacting.

It's not a big deal.

Really.

It isn't. :spotted owl:

I can't wait to see the usual suspects bend over backwards to defend this decision. I'm REALLY looking forward to reading those posts.

EDIT: And here's the first one  :

Yeah none of it's a big deal bro. We're all just CRAZY for wanting silly things like customization and multiple pieces of clothing.

You don't wear clothes, so get out. I welcome marriage cause it's a new feature. As a person who enjoys cloths I'm worried.

So.... in your opinion, we should be "freaking out" about something that adds options to the game, but accepting something that takes options away from the game?If nothing else - congratulations on being a part of Beth's target market. Would that more of us were that lucky.....

Relationships don't belong in this series.

I liked the merged clothes from OB better than the seperate pieces anyway.

Why do you all hate this? It's not such a bad thing. Sure, it's not that good, but where were all of you guys when romance was confirmed? Where were all of you guys when children were confirmed? You guys should be freaking out about that, not this.

whats so bad about children?
or do you mean actually HAVING children, like with your spouse?
i havent heard anything bad about children in-game

What's wrong with romance and children?

I like the idea of romance, and the children additions. So there's nothing to freak out about in that regard. This, however, svcks. I dun likes mah clothing/armor options to be uncustomizable. But...I suppose as long as there are more options in designs than there were in Oblivion, then fine. If I can have a shirtless outfit with belt straps (criss-crossing the torso) for housing small weapons, and nice leathery pants as a full outfit by default, then whatever. If I have to wait for mods to separate/add these kinds of things..then boo.

I just think it's a mistake to include this in the game. They're taking away from other content. Maybe, if children and relationships weren't added, clothing wouldn't be combined. Ever thought of that? Blame relationships and children for clothing being combined.

Relationships don't belong in this series.

Erm, okay. You say that in a matter of fact way.
It's your opinion, but if Bethesda creates the series, and they put it into the series, it clearly belong in this series.

But y'know, to each their own.

If Bethesda had more time, they could have possibly separated clothing. Relationships and children took time to make. Do you get it now?

If I had to choose (if it was really really impossible to have both), I'd choose children and marriages over separate pants and shirts. We are talking about a new gameplay mechanic versus a largely cosmetic consideration. Sure you could put different enchantments on pants and shirts before, but there are other ways to compensate.

Todd, how would you like it if I broke into your closet and sewed all your pants to your shirts?

C'mon man, this is just ridiculous. I was loving everything about the game, but this is a big downer for me. Most of my fun comes from personalizing my characters and making them unique. Guess I can't do that anymore...

Clothing was separate to begin with, champ. Bethesda actually took time and effort to change the system.

I personally think Beth knew that they weren't going to seperate clothing by the time relationships and children were implimented.
