Thank you, all, for your confidance and interest (as these, when released, are meant for your
enjoyment; mine comes from that knowledge :D ). I hope to have the Star Gown finished
tomorrow evening; that is, if I can guarantee some free time). As I am working on these, though,
I realize that I should probably also work on the male counterparts alongside the female versions.
So, rather than back-tracking my steps, this is what I shall do :) .

Also, I realize that there are many who, of course, want the gown/robes for their own characters, but
would not want to kill the royal family to obtain them (else, the player would only recieve the particular
robe that is worn at that time, and not all of them). This being the case, I thought it would be
beneficial if I created a royal tailor/seamstress who, for a bit of gold and special rare materials (precious
metal threads, exotic silks, brocade and tapestry; possibly spread out among the already existing
clothiers of the land), would make the gown/robe for the player ( The Quest for the Dress , so to speak :) ).

'Til Later. then

Here is a look a the male counterpart to the Green Gown/Robe above:

http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g235/Wesadam/EFCR/WAR_BRNZH_GREENGOWN1_M.jpg

And, yes, indeed, the "pants" are actually part of the Robe (due to the way
that the game automatically assigns bodyparts taken for the Robe slot, this
will work just fine without any worrisome conflict with other clothing or armour ;) ).

Of course, I made sure to keep key elements from the female version (the lace-like
details), but I diminished them a bit so as to not be too frilly (a perfect ensemble
for a member of the royal court, an eccentric mage, or a fashion concious diginitary).

More to come; 'Til Then

Can we get versions of the male robes for females? I'm not meaning to be an ass--the outfit looks so nice it'd be sad to lose it just because I'm playing a female character.

I don't kenit, the robe is a male version of a female dress which in Morrowind clothing terms is basically a robe to begin with. So are you asking for a female pants suit that covers the whole body and comes in one piece like the male 'robe' instead of Barenthiah's green dress, or in addition to?

But, then, what would be the male version to that (ba-dum-ching) :) .
Ultimately, to make a female version exactly like the male version
shown would be overkill (a bit); male characters have been getting the
shaft (mostly) when it comes to unique looks all their own; this
provides a chance to keep a "set" for both sixes (thematically) while
ensuring that, while similar, each have an autonomous [design] silhouette.

That said, an exact female version of the male version (with anatomic
accomodations, of course) is absolutely possible (but not likely ATM ;) ).

Gorgeous. I thought the female version was magnificent, and then I saw the male version--even better! It may prompt me to play one of my rare male characters, just to try and steal this from Barenziah. (I would, of course, feel very bad upon doing so).

A variation of the previous question: the originally male robes (i.e., Helseth's purple and gold) will have female versions, right? A female queenly robe, styled like Queen Elizabeth's state robes (http://reneeashleybaker.files.wordpress.com/2008/01/queen_elizabeth_ii_coronation_1953.jpg and http://www.british-towns.net/britain/jubilee/images/HMQEII_StateRobes.jpg ) would work great, I think. :)

The female version of the "Helseth" robe will mimic the look of the male
version without much deviation (just friendlier to the female form ;) ).

Here's a look at the "Twilight" Robes (for lack of a better name that does not now carry a
pop-culture connotation *shakes fist at pop-culture)

http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g235/Wesadam/EFCR/WAR_BRNZH_STARROBE_F1.jpg
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g235/Wesadam/EFCR/WAR_BRNZH_STARROBE_M1.jpg

I went 'round and 'round with these (originally patterning the stars as a textile pattern; ultimately,
I chose a more organic approach by adding the stars as a glow-map [as if the stars were enchanted
from the patterns in Oblivion onto the garments themselves] :) ).

I will add these to a character tomorrow and take a few more pics (as the NifSkope shots
do little in the way of adding "life" to these; a character will best put the articles of
clothing into perspective as far as how which parts bend and move where :) ).

I've two more of these and then Helseth's Robe, then I will move on to the "poor" garments, then
the Mage's Guild :) .

This is, hands-down, my single most-anticipated Morrowind mod right now. Out of curiosity, will it use any of Plangkye's outfits, or is it all going to be done from scratch? I would think for the Imperial outfits, for example, her mod would be perfect since it recreates several articles of clothing from Oblivion.

Also, for Helseth's robe, are you just going to retexture the original robe or is it going to get the full Westly treatment? If you're doing your own, could you do it in the style of, as creepy as he is, the http://blog.syracuse.com/storefront/2008/11/1bk.JPG For all of the nightmares he has inspired, he's got a pretty interesting looking costume.

just thought I'd add this in to the pot in case no one has seen it, it may help you in the long run...or maybe not idk...it replaces NPc and their clothes with unique ones supposedly to help differ the difference between regions, classes, etc...

For this, I plan on doing the texture work for the clothes myself so that the aesthetic is unified.
I am still working on this (mostly by way of sketches here and there). I do have a bit more of a plan
as far as the Race specific clothes that will make the work load a bit more easy :). The plan is
to make a version/set of each "rank" of clothing that represents each race (Common, Expensive,
Extravagant, Etc). In this way, it will be easier to dress the NPCs that would not necessarily
be a member of a faction/guild/house :) .

As always, there will be more to come (just not in the immediate future) ;) .

Take Care, All

Still plugging away at this (when time permits)

http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g235/Wesadam/EFCR/WAR_CRIMSONCOUNTESS_01.jpg
Again, for Barenziah (with the "Count" version for males :) )

I am not quite finished with this (I have yet to add a bit of ornamentation to
the bustle and make the male version). Once that is done, though,
I will go ahead an release these few outfits so far so that those wanting to use
them for their own characters need not wait for this mod to be
completed to do so :) .
