[WIPz] E.F.C.R Clothing ReplacerAdditions (Thread #2)

Post » Tue May 08, 2012 3:12 am

Thanks, friends :D . This has been a fun mod to make so far, but, as I have said before, I really need to draw it to a close soon (at least "part one", any way ;) ). As it stands now, the textures are at 300mb (not that much, but enough to warrant a good selection with something for everyone, I hope).

I am about to head outside for a blistering workout, but before I go I thought that I could go ahead and post the screens of the other shirt sets that I mentioned in my previous post. As I said, these have matching shoes and skirts as well (so no worries for the fashion conscious players that like to have proper sets of things :twirl: ).

More to come (but hopefully not too much more).

A quick look at a set that I cobbled up yesterday while it was
raining; this set (shirt, skirt, and shoes) is a padded set (so
could be turned into armour at some point by subbing some
of the underclothing with chainmail and alpha-ing out other parts
(namely the non padded part of the skirt).

http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g235/Wesadam/EFCR/WARMISCSHRTSKRTSHOE11a.jpg

I'll be back a bit later with a screen that shows more details of this
set as well as a few other accesories that I cobbled for the previous
clothing shown (ie Turban for the Elsewyr set and so on).

Gotta Run (litterally  )

These are gorgeous. The designs look great although the screenshots have seen are all very colourful, but maybe I've missed some; have you planned for some more neutral looking clothing for the commoners, farmers and the like?

I remember being amazed at the quality of your texturing work when you released your early head packs (were those your earlier mods?) But your texturing skill has really improved immensely since then. Can't wait to see this released.

Here's a look at the Turban that coordinates with the "Desert" sets (Unmasked
and Masked versions; cobbled from the Nordic Fur Helm mesh, Quill mesh,
and Grand Soul Gem [with a bit of squishing and reshaping here and there])...

http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g235/Wesadam/EFCR/WAR_DSRT_TRBN01a.jpg

It also comes in a tan/khaki cloth style with matching wrist wraps in both
cloth styles :D .

Guhhh, so pretty! When can I have it? And will it be a full replacer, or a partial one (original clothes left intact on some NPCs)? If it's the former, man, I'm so in love with these that I'd use it anyway (and probably make my own partial replacer, actually).

No worries; no actual clothing from the game will be replaced, just the clothing that is actually worn by select NPCs will be replaced (so all vanilla items will remain intact and still supported by other mods that may alter them). This mod is really more like a clothing addition/expansion rather than a "true" replacer. I did consider making actual replacers, though, for some of the items (like unique and enchanted items); for now, though, its all only new content that stands on its own merit so far :D .

ATM I am working on some Exquisite level robes from Summerset ( wich may or may not be hooded at this point, I've not made up my mind completely on that just yet :D ). I had a few ideas for the Valenwood sets today on my hike through my neighborhood (aka, The Appalachian Mountains); plenty of inspiration for them to be found where I live ;) .

As for the location for the shop, I think I will place it in the Foriegn Quarter Waistworks (seems appropriate since I am doing my best to represent all the ethnicities of Tamriel [to the best of my ability, that is]).

Good good, I do like seeing the original clothes on some of the NPCs (well, the Better version anyway).

In spite of my waning free time, it seems I have somehow found time to finish an exquisite level robe set for the High Elves (in a round about way). On a stroll through the internet for some inspiration I found tonnes of concept art for Warhammer Online. While I have done, in the past, gear that is inspired by other games, it was not my plan to do so for this mod. However, I was "enchanted" by the basic concept for the WH High Elven archmage gear, so I cobbled up my own version for this mod (again only inspired and cobbled from scratch :D ).

http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g235/Wesadam/EFCR/WAR_HIGHELF_EXQSTROBE03b.jpg
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g235/Wesadam/EFCR/WAR_HIGHELF_EXQSTROBE03a.jpg

I will most likely make a hood of some sort to match each robe (If I can find one that I can release that suits my aesthetic, that is).

That's all for now, but during my free time in the next few weeks I will work on the shop so that all of this gear will be available for those wanting to use the articles in their own games.

Looks nice, though maybe it emphasizes the bust a little too much? I don't know; that doesn't quite seem the Altmeri style to me. Otherwise looks great. :)

No worries; the robes in my previous post will most likely not be on High Elves in the replacer. I just liked the Archmage robes from WH that I had to make my own version of them (at the very least as something that the player could use :D ). While they actually do match up thematically with the other HE robes (at least in their silhouette), I'll make a different set that is a bit more subdued in tone, but still ornately decorated for the NPCs ;) .

I recently played DMC4 (got it during the Steam sale), and that robe style reminds me a lot of what Kyrie wore. Looks great!

Any chance for some nice, Nordic-themed clothes? :)

Took a few minutes tonight to try out the new robes in game and they look
pretty good on the High Elves (but if I do use them on NPCs, they will more
than likely be used on guild unaffiliated magic users) :D .

As for the Nords, they will get their own clothing as well (so no worries ;) ).
I have plenty of concepts to work from for most of the races, so all of them will
at the very least get one or two sets designed for them (though could be worn by
any character, of course :) ).

Until Later :bolt:
