The world is expanding, and just as our ancestors expanded our colonies across the country. So must we if mankind has a chance to thrive once again. The Commonwealth has diplomats all across the wasteland, but word of the steadily growing California Republic has the whitecollars on Beacon Hill scratching their beards at the thought of a joint partnership with their mainland polar opposite. From all across what was once called New England, mercenaries, navigators, androids, tribal warriors, and top Commonwealth soldiers are be sent uppon to support the great Commonwealth. All to transport a prestegious ambassador and his agents across the country to begin diplomatic ties with the Republic of California. Their is no garuntee of returning home, but know that it is in death, the greatest of men are remembered...

Rules:
standard character descriptions
this is just the sign up
I will bring in NPC's when appropriate
don't control others characters
characters/ weapons cant be too powerful
androids are more than welcome (this is the commonwealth after all)

If this is just a short teaser of the real thing, then I'd say that it's a good attention grabber, and you certainly have my attention. If this is just the teaser, then please don't open the spoiler.

Spoiler
However, if this is actually the entirety of what you had in mind, I don't want to shoot this one out of the sky or anything, but what exactly is the point of this Roleplay? As far as my understanding goes, apperantly we're supposed to be escorting a high-value target to the NCR.

Another stipulation is just the severe lack of any detail. To be blatantly honest, this doesn't have a clear plotline, backround, conflict, or even a simple Character Sheet. What we have here is an excellent introduction or prologue, but that's all it is.

I honestly can't say I'm interested, at least not until there are some serious details that will be added. This needs much more effort to be accepted as a legitimate RP.

I plan on setting up the plot more as we go along, I dont want to spoil anything, but there is allot of deception, ppl get killed off left and right, it's like a post apocolyptic lewis and clark...... I have big plans for this RP, I have a list of NPC's and plot twists aswell. This involves crossing the entire united states of america.... trust me... I have no room to be vague....... I got the idea from an ESPN 40 for 40, about this runner from canada who tried to run coast to coast to raise funding for cancer.... and ended up dieing before he could finish.. the person were escorting is an ambassador, and yeah she is high value in the sence there are many leaders in the commonwealth that would like to see her dead, and remain isolated (isolationists: like many of todays politicians IE Ron Poul)
Not only that, but many Commonwealth civilians wish to remain issolated, so expect attacks along the way.. as if the wasteland wasnt dangerous enough.....

An RP is only as good as the person running it, although i have been gone for awhile, my RP credentials are adequite (i think thats how u spell it)

I understand that you don't want to spoil anything right away, but detail and formatting are two major things people look for when the're looking to join a RP. I'm not trying to critisize your handiwork, but the first post looks like you spent five minutes sketching out the idea just to get it out there. It looked incomplete, and lacked a lot of explaination, but I see you actually have a well thought out plan for the course of the RP.

The point is, don't sell yourself short. If you have details, then put them in! If you had said what you did in your last post when you first opened this RP, I would have been much more interested in your story.

Unofrtunately, I can't join this RP, due to the fact I'm already in two others, and I don't want to put more work on my plate right now. However, I wish you the best of luck, and I'll be reading along as the RP progresses.

what do u need to see, before you can come onboard? I have a basic layout of the commonwealth planned out, we start off at Bunker Hill, basically we pull together a roll-call sizing up who's who. Bunker hill is the munument where paul reveir lit the 2-if by sea lanterns.... It is the best sniper spot in boston, you can see for miles ontop of the monument, it's a little smaller than the mashington monument, but basicly the same shape. Politicians (isolationists) send out hit squads on the party to keep the commonwealth independent. Whether our party can identify with those ideals or not, were going to be on the receving end of allot of firepower.

This RP plays along with the theme of moral ambiguity, not every decition we make is going to be an easyone, afterall, the commonwealths number one ally is the Enclave... who stay just outside the commonwealth boarder keeping out Newyork refugee's to the best of there ability.... even over 200 years after the war, the New England/ New York hatred is alive and well, though we wont be heading threw the city.. we will have contact in crime riddeled cities like Buffalo. The term "Slag" is used for New York immigrants, and even though our party wont be uniformed personel, but more-over looking like a large band of merc's the Commonwealth accent and slang gets us into trouble in upstate.... many newyorkers are trying to get into the commonwealth because they were less effected longterm by radiation (IE: no supermutants/ mutated animals) due to extreme poverty New yorkers are trying tooth and nail to get threw the boarder.... for the Enclaves help of keeping Slags out, the commonwealth helps the Enclave with technelogical innovation.

No....

First off, Paul Revere didn't hang the lanterns. A guy in the Boston North Church did. Bunker Hill is a hill north of "Breed's Hill". Breed's Hill is were The Battle of Bunker Hill took place.
