COBL aware hunger/thirst mods

Post » Wed May 04, 2011 5:18 pm

I was using Vim and Vigor for a while and decided against it as it wasn't very cool having to use a certain set of ingredients to make 'rashions' while sitting in a kitchen full of cobl added food. Knowing that there are COBL aware hunger/thirst/survival mods, I'm asking what the general concensus is to the 'best one' for using with COBL.

I've had a look and found "REAL HUNGER" and "FF REAL THIRST" - is it possible to use these two along side each other? - if so, in what order should they be installed/loaded? - if needed i will supply to the thread my mod list/load order for any of you to check up against any possible conflicts and aid in giving advice for general load order placement of said mods.

Also, are there any other COBL aware 'all in one' survival mods involving eating/drinking that hasn't been named in this post already? I'm a fan of the immersion survival - eating/drinking/sleeping mods adds.

I'm ideally looking for a mod that adds eating AND drinking and the regular need for sleep, but of course a lesser variant of this would be ok if this isn't attainable with my current build (which i doubt), though, just in case.

Along side these I intend to use 'crafty bits' and as i have an FCOM build i am also using the MMM version of crafting. Incase these may cause any incompatibility issues with suggestions any of you put i have added this bit to the end.

Cheers.

These two are my favourites, they can be used together and load order between them doesn't matter. There are some minor issues with FF Real Thirst and Better Cities, though.

The http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Tes4Mod:Cobl mentions http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=15773 as a COBL-aware hunger//thirst/sleep mod.

I read that too, before i spent hours actually trying to get Vim and Vigor to recognize cobl stuff. Couldn't fill water skins at any cobl added water barrels/rivers e.t.c. couldn't get any cobl food stuffs to appear in the 'create rations' window either. More than likely i was doing something quite wrong.

Either way though my girlfriend didn't like the mechanics of Vim and Vigor, in that you have to 'make rations' e.t.c. so, fair enough seeming as she's 'passenger playing' the game along with me allot of the time, the idea of making various food stuffs with the bakery aspect of Korana's wonderful Millstone Farm house mod and sitting down to eat e.t.c. appeals to her, which i'm cool with. Hence me looking for decent alternatives.

Well, i'm going to go for the real hunger/thirst mods, see how that pans out. Thanks for the input! :)

Check out Arwen's Mod list, especially the http://amito.freehostia.com/Oblivion/OB-mods.htm#extreme section.
