[RELZ] Cobl Races

Well it seems that I am getting crashes also right at exit of tutorial dungeon. or rather race Menu.. Ran all the way through started dungeon fine with Golden Saint..once I got to exit, made a small skintone change. I exit the Race Menu and it crashes to desktop.

I thought UOP already had Custom Race Fix or COBL Races had it intergrated?

load order and bashed patched results..So that you see that I am really not using that much, I have tried moving cobl races up and down in load order has not helped..

Any Suggestions?

Well it seems that I am getting crashes also right at exit of tutorial dungeon. or rather race Menu.. Ran all the way through started dungeon fine with Golden Saint..once I got to exit, made a small skintone change. I exit the Race Menu and it crashes to desktop.

I thought UOP already had Custom Race Fix or COBL Races had it intergrated?

load order and bashed patched results..So that you see that I am really not using that much, I have tried moving cobl races up and down in load order has not helped..

Any Suggestions?

MMM Friendlier Factions for MMM+Frans.esp yes it is fine ..Is is used for both MMM and MMMforFrans.esp..with Frans you do not use his creatures so you do not use his faction's you use MMM instead..

Item Interchange - I have it dated so that is always the last loaded mod before bashed patched..but moved it up in load order..before cobl..

I moved CoblRace.esp down in load order and rebuild bashed patched moved II up above, moved all cobl stuff to last before bashed patched and ran from autosave it working now..

Not sure why it wants to be this way since nothing is changing any races..uop / mmm is adding new races and eyes, but not playable..travellers, etc..only cobl races..

I couldn't help noticing the COBL Races balanced gives me huge weakness to fire, poison, frost and shock... in fact to everything.
What is even worse is that all bloody vampires have no problem detecting me even if I use invisibility + cheat ring...

It is much more realistic, true. But more painful. And more shameful.
Thank you, COBL team. Can you reduce the disadvantage to my poor Breton girl next time? :)

Balanced Races is pretty much a "lite" version of http://theelderscrolls.info/?go=9XReadMeBalancingProject#4. And that's about as much as I know. :) bg2408 is the author of that portion of Cobl.

Retroactive Health Gain: I recently added my own (OBSE based) version to Wrye Leveling. AFAIK, there's a difficulty with doing a non-obse version in that it's difficult to know what the players starting endurance is, which is necessary to creating a true retroactive health. (See http://www.gamesas.com/bgsforums/index.php?s=&showtopic=853553&view=findpost&p=14006426.) For my version, I'd want to see it in practice a bit more -- I'm not sure that it's doing the right thing in response to damage/drain effects (or mayb it was working right, but it was a gradual drain, hmmm). I haven't looked at what bg2408 did.

So it's a possible future addition to Cobl.

Does any kind of gender check take place before NPC's are assigned their hairstyles? If so, it's not working quite right.

Tolgan, Countess Narina Carvain's herald and Hamlof Red-Tooth of Red Diamond Jewelry in the Imperial City both have such long, beautiful, flowing hair... that looks totally out of place on their male skulls. Especially Hamlof, it looks completely ridiculous in a funny way. I can't take his cantankerous nature seriously anymore though.

Other than that I'm liking the changes. I walked into A Fighting Chance and Rohssan looked :hubbahubba: compared to her old self. Everyone looks different, cool stuff!

Hey, Wrye, I was wondering if you could add this race to this mod http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=22429. Then maybe it would be more compatible with wrye morph. I posted in the thread about wrye morph and I was having a problem with shape shifting using that race. I think it would compliment this mod quiet well. She's a Daedra and she can fly.

I had the same crash as Corepc when re-opening the race menu at the end of the dungeons. Thanks for explaining how to fix it and for the mod itself! I am playing a stealth dark elf and enjoy the changes.

First off - I really don't want to get my fingers bitten off by either of the gods of Oblivion modding! Please don't eat me!

Secondly, I've been using BP for a very, very long time.

Since this new Wrye BAIN thing came out, I was playing with it, and it's soooo much easier to change an existing install around than OBMM ever was and I went "Lets try something new."

I love it, especially the Ohmes Raht. But first I went "Wait, why's the Tabaxi renamed?" This led me to UESP, where I learned lots about Khajiit - Why is it we only have one of the morphologies!? Ahhh! Now that I know this, we need more Khajiiti around.

Then I found a new version of Tabaxi with new fur colors.

Now I'm trying to figure out how to rename them to Ohmes-Raht to fit in with the rest of the Cobl races. (They patched in just fine, too!) Edited: Wow, a paralyzed hippo really can do this! I'd wave and grin, but I can't.

Pretty soon, I'm going to run out of mods to add and I'll start playing, but you guys made me laugh, find new information, and finally decide on what my next real character was going to be like: http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Ahzirr_Traajijazeri

Great mod. Great inspiration. Thank you. I'm about to let beautiful people go away. Ohmes-Raht beat Ainmhi hands down, especially because I've never really liked playing something I didn't think was lore correct. (My knowledge of lore, it could fit in a thimble.)

Ok well i originally posted this question at http://www.gamesas.com/bgsforums/index.php?showtopic=991307&st=40 and was told to post it here so here is the problem im having in its entirety.

~Wasn't sure if this is where to you request help with a problem related to the mod for oblivion named cobl(common oblivion) however i could not find any other topics that seemed close~
The problem im having is i have everything installed correctly i previously had beautiful people mod installed and removed before installing cobl. once i installed cobl and installed the high res cosmetics i should of been fine. Everything ran fine no problem but then while playing i noticed that any character with vanilla eyes(from original oblivion) would show up as just empty black voids where the eyes are. So i tried a few things even installing the previous eyes(beautiful people eyes) which didn't fix this problem i was wondering if there was something i should do to fix this problem.(Note: this problem only occurs with vanilla eyes and there is no problem with the custom eyes that come with the mod).

*Re-Edit* I ran a conflict detector test to see if some other mod might be conflicting with the eyes of the mod and found the only conflicts were the ones that looked fine

Never mind I fixed the problem anyway by installing Vanilla Eyes Addon V2.0 Stockby Phaedra
and setting it earlier in the load cycle perhaps without beautiful people loaded it had no mod pointing towards the vanilla eyes of oblivion.

Hey!

Got a quick question for you guys.
Up to now I was using BP. I installed Cobl today.
I figured I'd try keeping BP since I can't install the Races part 'cause I don't have SI. However, that caused some problems with the eyes of the NPCs. I removed BP, but I lost all options of customisation for my own character. At least the NPCs are fine now.

Is there a workaround for this? I see two options here - one would be to find a pack with the meshes and textures Cobl races needs from SI, and install this mod. The other one would be to revert back to BP/TNR. I'd much rather go with the first one :)

Cobl Races requires SI for Aurel and Mazken for the race data, voices, etc. So it will not work right without SI installed..

Best adivce purchase SI if you want to use cobl races, else keep on using bp instead..

Plus you should be using wyre bash with than many mods and race mods or cosmetics mods..load order is a mess get BOSS to sort it out..

I am using Wrye Bash. I wasn't familiar with the fact that it can fix this type of conflicts. How would using a bashed patch help here?

The reason I mentioned a pack with meshes/textures for the races was this line from ufrealms:
Cobl Races Requires Shivering Isles! Cobl Races makes use of some meshes and textures provided by Shivering Isles. If SI is not present, then those meshes and textures must be otherwise provided by the user. (A late release of Cobl may provide these missing meshes/textures.)


I guess they didn't release it yet!

Ok, I could use a bit of help here. :D I installed COBL races and the Cosmetic resource packs for it as well. The idea was to replace Beautiful People in my load order. However, I now have no eyes on any character in the game and no hair save for the vanilla hairs. Now, I went through the readme. Three times now and while it says Bash is not needed for this, there are however no suggestions as to load order without it. :banghead:

Yes, I know. I can already hear everyone opening their mouths and warming up with cries of "GET WRYEBASH YOU IDIOT!" I plan on installing Bash at some point soon, but not yet. Space is at a premium right now and COBL races and the cosmetics res have pretty much svcked up what little I had. I'm scrambling to get back over a gig at this point.

So my question, why have all the eyes and all but vanilla hairs vanished? How do I get them back? I've been fiddling with this for the better part of an hour now and frankly, I'm about ready to go back to BP even if it means having all the Khajiit in my game half shaved. :rolleyes: I do love the COBL core and really would like to use the COBL races, despite the size of it.

Most of the bottom third of my load order consists of WIP mods, none of which affect/add/subtract anything to or from races, hairs or eyes. With one or two exceptions, they're dungeons. :D I apologize if I sound frustrated but...well...I am. :embarrass: Thanks for helping.

Yep, just exactly like that and yes, I did install the huge Cosmetic resource files. :D As I said, I read the readme through several times in the course of trying to figure out what was wrong. The problem with bash is a lack of space on my drive at the moment, essentially. As it seems this mod is unwilling to work without being bashed, I've re-installed BP. :sad: If the patchwork Khajiit chests bother me, I can always disable Roberts.

I'll come back to this when I do have the space to install and use BASH. :foodndrink:

I have installed this and I love it. My only complaint is the blind eyes. I keep running into NPCs with the "blind" eyes.

I notice that if I scroll through the races at startup, after going through them once completely the Imperials, Bretons and Redguards have defaulted to "blind" eyes.

It seems like it ends up being the default eye since it is apparently first on the list. Or at least that is the conclusion I have drawn.

Is there a way to set another eye as the default? I don't mind the blind eye occasionally, but it seems to come up on Redguard NPCs frequently.

and im not exactly sure if i use bash patch i did however use BOSS to automatically arrange my mods.

Re-Edit: Whoops roberts was disabled at the time of taking the load order now it is reupdated

Didint have a bash patch.esp file but i did find Bashed Patch, 0.esp in extras so i copied that to the data folder

Re-Edit: I rebuilt patch with Cobl races.esp and cobl races -balanced.esp checked however robert's was not there should i add it to the list of merge able mods and then check it off?

The version i have doesnt even have a tag so its not automatically bash tagged as race(also i cant figure out how to force it to bash tag itself as race since its not a available selection)

Rebuilt the patch tested and still have the same texture problem the readout was as follows if it helps

In race section bash patched results show up has

Merged: None ..

same way here..so ignore that..

I just notice that the rmb khajiit texture is not being applied correctly to mine either..Not fully spotted like they should be..that is what rbm textures look like..

I had rmb loaded before cobl races,

But after changing that so that malebodyreplacer4.esp was loaded after cobl races it fixes it bashed patch..

so that should do the trick in game has well..load malebodyreplacer after coblraces.esp..if not report back, and I can direct you on how to patch cobl races with tes4edit..to include changes from rmb itself..which is fairly easy to do..or I can send you patch..

Yes that is what is happen,

cobl races balanced is reverting the khajiit back to cobl version textures , not robert's spotted khajiit textures in malebodyreplacer.esp..

because it loading after it in your load order..

if you load rmb after cobl races / cobl races balanced then what ends up happening is that you loose all your eyes settings and hair stuff..so that is not a good idea either..Bash depending on load will fix it, but, sometimes it does not work out right, so a manual patch is needed.

I do have the personal rmb+cobl races, cobl races balanced that has all the rmb textures assigned to them and it work ..I can send it you if you like via pm..requries eve foot khajiit texture is all..

Blast the merging of values was radical enough of a change that it forces me to make a new character for the third time this month <_< o well and im going to pm you corepc can you send the eve foot texture with it? (Note: i use exnem's eye candy for female bodies if that may cause any problems.)
