[RELZ] Cobl Races [RELZ]

Did you start a new character ? has you would either need to do that or else use console and bring up character menu and change your eyes and hair that way.

Install Cobl Races TNR to verify Cobl Cosmetics are working, if they show up on npcs then it is installed correctly..


Yes, I started a new game and the eyes and hairs, along with the races, are not functioning.

Funny thing, though; I can't even find the folders for the new races in my oblivion data folder, even though I've confirmed that COBL and COBL cosmetics are in fact installed.

Strange. Once I'm done poking around in CS I'm just going to try a fresh install of both of them.

Using Windows Vista or Seven - UAC problem sounds like..Did you install oblivion in the program files directory that would be the problem has UAC prevents stuff from working correctly.

You need to reinstall oblivion to different location outside of program files directory.

I'm still using XP, so it can't be that...

I have a sneaking suspicion that I didn't install them correctly, because I can't find ANY of the xivlai, hidden elf, or Ohmes textural data in my data folder. Its as if I didn't install them at all.

okay had to check os xp so not uac problem once again.

Reinstall resources once again. Or better yet make a omod out of them and activate it that wasy . using the updated omod script that is in post 8 of this thead. Make a new omod and then copy and paste the script into a new omod script.

Hi, I'm back to playing Oblivion after a loooong break (the entire lifetime of my last graphics card in fact :brokencomputer: ) and going through all of my old mods to update them. Lots of changes to Cobl since v1.39 so I thought I'd risk fingers by making my first post in 18 months in a Monkey God zone!

In the Cobl readme on wryemusings it states that
Cobl Races Requires Shivering Isles! Cobl Races makes use of some meshes and textures provided by Shivering Isles. If SI is not present, then those meshes and textures must be otherwise provided by the user. (A late release of Cobl may provide these missing meshes/textures.)
which makes perfect sense because of the Aureal and Mazken.

Unfortunately, I don't have SI so what happens if I use Cobl Races? Does it break the game entirely, cause some minor snag when creating a character or something else entirely?

I would imagine you would crash any time you encountered someone who was supposed to be from one of those races, since the game would be missing all skeleton, mesh and animation information for them.

I'm using Cobl w/Cobl_Cosmetics_Res_01 and I'm trying to install mods which require BP.
Is there a mod which complements the Cobl_Cosmetics_Res_01, such that when the two mods are loaded gives the result of the BP requirement?


What part of Beautiful People are trying to make compatible? Bash should be able to import and merge stuff from BP and Cobl Races together.

I have had no problem using the Cobl Races.esp with the Cosmetics_Res_01 by itself.
After doing some reading, It seems the eye mesh BP uses causes most of the problem, along with a change in the directory structure. No sure the later is true with all versions of BP. I had read that Bash can resolve the eye mesh issue, but not the directory problem. As it turns out only one mod I have seen requires BP and that's the Brothel of Cyrodiil. Other mods either have a patch, or have avoided it.

OK, I had seen that. LFact seems to have done a lot with BP.
Thanks for all your contributions (Tamriel Travellers, Vibrant Textures, MMM, etc). Oblivion wouldn't be the same without them! :foodndrink:

Yes you need to activate Exnem Compatiblity Patch if you use Exnem or HGEC or EVE HGEC or TGND

Hello, I'm having a lot of difficulty installing Cobl Races and Robs male body... First I tried putting robs male body last in load order, then I didn't get the extra hairs and eyes (apart from with the imperial race, odly) then I tried putting Cobl races .esp's after robs male body (as suggested by BOSS) and suddenly the Kajjit textures were tottaly messed up. So THEN I tried merging them both into the bash patch, and the only effect was that BOTH problems occured!
I also have Exenems Eye Candy installed, but I'm presuming this is caused by COBL Races as Robs male Body causes me to loose the hairs and eyes in char gen. I'm also guessing I've messsed up the bash patch and thats why it's not working....

Hope I don't loose any fingers over this, I'm stumped enough as it is....

I have it like this, which is the BOSS order:

++ MaleBodyReplacerV4.esp [Merged in the Bashed Patch and unchecked in the mod list. Also checked under Import Graphics in the Bashed Patch.]

7D Cobl Races.esp [Version 1.52] [Checked under Race Records.]
** Cobl Races TNR.esp [Version 1.53] [Checked under Import NPC Faces - keep unchecked in the mod list.]
** Cobl Races TNR SI.esp [Version 1.53] [As above.]

I have no issues that I've noticed anyway.

(Noticed that the version numbers of Cobl don't match - must check what's up with that.)

Get lastest Bash has it most likely your bash setup. and rebuilt your patch with how Arkngt has it posted below

If you still cannot get it work report back, I have a Cobl Races with MaleBodyReplacer already merged, also contains EVE KhajiitFix has well for Female.

That is because I updated Cobl Races TNR plugin with UOP, USIP, UOMP Fixes has needed a long time ago. That is what is up with version number being different.. :wavey:

You say all the races are black has in no detail.

What texture setting are you running the game at ? Small, Medium, Large.

Try changing to large to see if that fixes the problem.

Are you using Windows Vista or Windows Seven?

Next Question

Did you use the omod script that is provided on the first page.

Check to make sure it got installed correctly..

Look where you installed obliivon to and find this..data\textures\characters\eyes\ should have around 260 files

and data\textures\characters\hair with 4 folder in it.

Sounds like it could be UAC blocking the resources from getting loaded.

Did you install oblivion to program files itself, if so then, either you need to turn uac for oblivion or reinstall the game outside of program files directory
